Near to walking street
Very noisy can not sleep and must to change bed sheet by myself.
- Very good location.
- Promoted terrasse with view to Galata tower was out of order. - Poor wifi.
Facilities in the apartment were excellent.
5 sets of stairs
very good location in the center of night life of Istanbull. The room is spacious and nice
Breakfast was terrible with poor selection of foods and very low quality. Our room was at 4th floor without lift, the stairs narrow and steep: In the booking description this attribute is not descripted. Staff unkind: first thing they told us was for paying in advance. We have asked as special request in boooking the ck-in between 12 am to 1 pm and they gave us the room at 4 pm. After waited until 4 am we couldn't go out from the building as main door was broken. (our room was located in a building distant from the reception)
The staff was very helpful, friendly. The view of the hotel they put us into due to overbooking at booking.com had a nice view and the apartment was modern.
When we arrived at the hotel we were told we couldn't get into the room. They wanted to put us in the Pera Bomonti instead, promising it was an even better hotel! So since it was nearly midnight we accepted. From the outside it was a nice building, however, instead of a 1 minute walk, it was a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro. It was not near the tourist area, but a residential area. The first room we were put into had a broken shower. so we changed to a different room. The next room had a broken/leaking fridge. The third room was fine. The rooms are quite modern and nice, no complaints about that. The view is also not bad over the area. The breakfast however was absent, since this hotel did not usually include breakfast. It's considered an appartment building. So everyday the reception would call for take away breakfast. We daily received a plate with half a tomato, a boiled egg, some slices of cucumber, a small piece of cheese and ham, and half the plate was covered in cold, sloppy french fries (BREAKFAST!). We were not pleased with that. So, in the end it was not a better option, we were far from the tourist area and nice restaurants/bars, spent extra money on metros and we had to buy our own breakfast anyway since they provided us with horrible take away food.
The location was excellent and the hotel was very comfortable.
The service was just ok and the TV didn't work.
Very nice hotel in a perfect area of Istanbul. Many good restaurants around the corner. Very friendly and helpful staff. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are also very nice. Good breakfast buffet. From now on I will stay there !
great position in attractive area
bathroom poorly lit. Bath/ shower leaked. Breakfast could improve.
-Very friendly staff, -changing towels every day, -great location, -convenient rooms, -with kitchen supplies -free water bottles, -wi-fi (no excellent connection everywhere but was ok)
Just for your info: -more than one building and some with no elevator -our deluxe triple room had nice but a little transparent bathroom...
Good hotel, fantastic location! It's on a narrow and quiet little street with a charming bookstore and lots of small shops around. It's just a few hundred meters away from the famous Istiklal Boulevard and Galata Tower. Breakfast was good and people very kind. Totally worth the money!
Water was not running when we arrived (nasty!). The room key did not work and we had to wait about an hour until the problem was fixed.
-location -customer service -great breakfast and nice view from terrace -wifi everywhere
-humidity from bathroom has only one way to go out via living room
Place is amazing. Historical. Clean.
- The rooms were clean, and the beds very comfortable. - Breakfast was ok. - We payed for a 2-bedroom Deluxe apartment (for 6 persons), but on the first day they we had to stay in 3 different rooms (2 person for each) since they had some mistake on the reservation, but the 3 rooms were nice. The problem was on the second day that they moved us to the deluxe apartment but didn't had elevator (which we needed for some of the guests), so we preferred to stay in the 3 rooms which they agreed with it without any extra cost. - Hosts were friendly and helpful.
- In the breakfast sometimes we had to ask to refill some of the things like bread, fruit, yogurt, etc. - No elevator in our building (Hotel has several buildings). - Hotel receptionists sometimes had some difficulty speaking or understanding english.
the receptionist is very nice,I can't remember his name but I knew he has been to China before,he told us a lot about native cultures ,and our room has be upgrade ,that is very nice! Suites has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, very convenient And I think I will book this hotel again!
Location is excellent as it is just 2 min from Galata tower and 20 min from Taxim Square. There is a lot of nice restaurants nearby. In the night is very quiet and comfortable to sleep. Room was well organized and large.
Cleanliness was at unacceptable level. We entered in the practically dirty room, except for the sheets and towels that were just changed. After asking staff to clean the room, only carpets were vacuum-cleaned (very sloppy) and the rest was untouched (this relates to bath and toilet especially).
Room, staff, location
One lamp was broken, wifi took a while till it worked
Location is good. Mohammad & Mustafa to mention as the staff at reception very polite.
- superior room should be re-named as Inferior room. Very basic with TV, Telephone etc. not working initially. Amenities incomplete & location on the third floor. Vacation becomes a punishment. Room location must be clarified before booking. - breakfast, the same menu every day. Even on certain days normal menu items missing due to being out of stock. Very non professional breakfast service.
The location was perfect and the decor of the rooms was attractive
The service although polite was a bit of a shambles. Complaints were usually noted but not acted on, breakfast was not at all good, few options and had to repeatedly ask for simple things like coffee, milk etc. Wifi advertised but never worked.
All of it!
the room is nice, as pictured and the location is very good. Staff friendly but english is basic.... breakfast included, was good
The building where the grand deluxe room is located is to be renovated, looks bad outside. Need to walk one floor.
Loved the location, it was round the corner from Galata tower with lots of sweet little Turkish restaurants and shops. There isn't much traffic here so it was nice and quiet. If you're ok on foot we had no problem walking down to the water and over Galata bridge to reach the Old Town. Also it's really close to French Street, brilliant night life to be had here. Our room was on the small side but it had a large terrace, which was a cool bonus and the room had some original features, which made it feel special. Staff was really helpful and friendly, we had a bottle of wine on the roof terrace on a couple of occasions and they were able to lend us a bottle opener :) Breakfast was nice if you like Turkish breakfast, you could squeeze oranges yourself and everything was fresh and we were able to take breakfast outside on the street where they have a few table and chairs.
If you struggle with stairs this might be an issue - our building (the suites are spread across a few) didn't have a lift and we were on 4th floor. Our room was noisy because of some of the pipes, also we could hear the room next door really well due to an adjacent shaft - if that would bother you I would avoid this kind of room, we could literally hear ongoings in next door's bathroom!
Location: very close to Galata Tower and bridge, also to the tunel and Sishane subway station, you can reach everything easily by walk Staff: speaks English very well, helpful Rooms: modern rooms, nicely furnished, comfortable beds Breakfast: delicious and big variety of foods
Location: a bit difficult to find the hotel, local shopkeepers has no idea where it is. Breakfast: the hall is not so big, so it's crowded in the morning hours (8-9 am), it's difficult to find empty seats and table. If you wake up later you stay hungry.
Very good accomodation, comfortable rooms, kind staff, excellent location in a charmy estate of Beyoglu. The hotel is hard to find the first time you came here but very close to almost everything, one time you get familiar with Istanbul. Suggested!
Minor inconvenients but not so relevant
Really good location in a quiet road not far from some good cafés and restaurants. Very clean and the amenities were good.
I had booked a different room with separate beds but it appeared to be fully booked and had a suite instead with a double bed which my friend and I accepted. Smelt of smoke and the plumbing in the bathroom was not fixed after we mentioned the flooded floor after showering.
