Awesome awesome breakfast. The food was simple but very fresh and very healthy. They make their own jams which were very tasty. Location is good, next to st. John basilica which is a good sight to see. Bus stop which you can use to get to ephesus and other places is a short walk away. Most restaurants are also very close by.
It's more a house cum hotel so don't expect 24 hour hour service. They lock the main door so every time you come back from outside you need to ring the bell which is a pain. Also English is not their strongest suit so communication is a challenge.
The owner and his staff were very helpful to us. They helped to arrange transportation, flights and gave great service. We loved the location and room and the storks nest outside our balcony. The garden patio is beautiful.
Great location, friendly owner very helpful
This family-run hotel was very nice and cozy, it was acutally more like a B&B. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very nicely and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was very good.
The room in general, and in particular the bed, were a bit small. We had trouble getting to sleep.
The location was good - situated on a lovely street directly across from St. John's Basilica. There is a nice view from the roof terrace - but it is not clear if you are sharing the rooftop space with the owner's or manager's personal space.
The place purports to be a sort of 'boutique' hotel - but it is not. It is shabby hotel- and make sure to avoid the bedrooms on the first floor which are quite dark- with few amenities. All of which would be acceptable since it is fairly clean and in a good location - but the owner charges rates commensurate with a much higher level hotel. In fact, I stayed in a far better and much more charming hotel nearby for less money- and where the staff was much more helpful and pleasant. The staff here wasn't even aware of my reservation. In addition be careful when the owner does the currency exchange - when he did it for me it was not according to the prevailing rate.
Location and atmosphere
We really enjoy the stay here, the owner is so kindly make us feel like at home.It takes only about 5 mins walking to the train station and 5-10 mins to the bus station. The room is simple ,elegant country style.
A great place to stay: 1) The hosts are wonderful - kind, engaging and well-informed about the area. 2) The breakfasts are delicious - with some of the best local foods available. The food is fresh, fresh, fresh! 3) The location is ideal for seeing touring the town, getting to Ephesus or Sirince, and seeing the St. John Basilica. 4) You'll feel like your staying with a local family and get to experience local color and culture if you sit down with Cemil. There appear to be a variety of room types available - just ask to see the other rooms and decide which your most comfortable with.
Can't think of a thing. This is the place to stay!
Good location, friendly staff, privacy of room. Easy access to Ephesus, near many restaurants.
Had to pay cash upfront. Wouldn't let you wash clothes in bathroom but charged a huge amount to do small load of laundry.
close the Saint John, the garden is cute.
Helpful staff; character of hotel and rooms
Lots of traffic noise from nearby main road all through the night
adorable staff and traditional breakfast with homemade jam was wonderful
The rooms were very "budget-friendly" -- i.e. small.
Very friendly staff with enough English to help us!
after our checking-out, Mina offer us a room to rest and have a shower waiting for the train.
Family owned business by friendly and efficient persons. Very helpful in assisting and advising you.
The breakfast cheese, would have preferred one of the famous Turkish yoghurts, but the rest of the breakfast was very tasty. Just a small detail.
Great feel, good position, lovely people, great room, everything you need.
