Score from 9 reviews Exceptional
With a perfect location in the midst of Istanbul’s historic attractions, this hotel offers magnificent views of Hagia Sophia’s 4 minarets from its outdoor dining terrace.
Score from 263 reviews Very good
Spacious, clean room, friendly helpful staff. Another hotel owns the 7 rooms here, so there is no regular check in or "reception". Someone from the hotel came and formally checked us in. Cafe staff were very friendly and offered sweets and tea/ coffee.
Very close to tramlines. If you need a quiet environment to sleep, this is not for you. Accommodation is above a sweets cafe, not part of a "real" hotel. There is a flight of stairs to get to the lift landing.
The hotel staff is very helpful and the room is large, with enough space. The room was cleaned and given fresh towels every day. The breakfast is fresh and very good. The hotel location is about 50 meters from the Orient Express Train Station.
If you have a light sleep, there are some street noise (not much) in the room, we have stayed in the suite with sea view, on 6th floor.
View of Bashphor. Room #7
No lobbay. Lift not in the ground and it will go to 6th floor not 7th floor.
Nice staff, good location, close to important sights and to tram station, clean room
I stayed at second floor and it was a lot of noise because of the tram.
Perfect position, brand new forniture and very clean
The wifi did not work for three days. It has been difficult to comunicate with the staff, that could not speak a proper english
The first thing to be said about this hotel is that is has no actual front desk. The rooms are located over a patisserie. That being said, their staff was very helpful and tried to help us with everything they could. The rooms are really cool and spacious, but the bathroom should have a lock. The Wifi did not work as expected, but the lobby did have connection. The hotel's manager was also very helpful.
- We liked the location, since it's really central and practical. The only problem is that it's located on the street with the train rails, so it's a little crowded and also complicated to board transfers and stuff. The noise wasn't a problem. - The halls could be cleaner. - The breakfast is served in a tray. The food is good, but you don't really have a lot of options.
The worst hotel We stayed at the deluxe sweet. A result, we were the unpleasant thought. This hotel was the worst. The shower was cold water only. After sweating in the city walk, we were not able to use the shower. There was a hole in the ceiling. Water falls from the hole. So, I stuffed a towel in the hole. The view is bad. There are two dirty building in front of the eyes, it can not be said that the view is good. The light of the washroom has broken and it does not turn it on. The wet dirty bathrobe was put on the place by the window of the room. There was sugar. However, there was no coffee. There was shampoo. However, there was no rinse. This hotel has not been cleaned. This hotel is not in the supply of equipment. This hotel, there is no front desk, not even a helpful staff. We were scheduled for two nights. However, with only one night, we were moved to other hotels. Manager of the women was refunded only prices of the one night. We paid the money of € 200 per night or more in such a terrible hotel.
Staff , location ...etc excellent
The room is very clean and spacious.
There is no elevator service from the ground floor.
Great location, big rooms. The staff doesn't speak english very well, but the compensate with their delightful ways
That there is no reception in the hotel itself - it is a few blocks away only, but I wasn't aware of it… A lot of building is going on in that area of Istanbul, meaning you wake from the noise...
Large new room, excelent place, friendly stuff
I love the staff most and the location ..and the idea of having the reception at different building .... the satff dont speak English well..but they make everything possable in every possable way... It sno only about Hotel services but also about all the attraction in the area near buy and tells about small tricks and ways to not spend lots of money .. loved the Turkish Hammam that you can have all your own with your partner or only you with some professional attendance ..
nothing they could do with the scary Entrancy that is exactly on the Tram Path .. it s less than 3 meter.. So if you have young kids .. you better just be careful
Very good location. Nice room.
Hotel? Just rooms above a shop! Don't know if shop closed and shuttered overnight. Asked for breakfast. Waited an hour. Then moved to another hotel (which was planned anyway).
The room was very large in size and had a lovely bathroom
The staff that spoke English worked at another hotel so was very hard to communicate as the last day of our stay we had no hot water at all and couldn't get it fixed
The hotel is located in an area ideal for visit Istanbul and is next to the train station and tram Sirkeci, the gates of the ferry and the bridge of Galata. A 5-minute walk, you can reach Agia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The staff is very very friendly and helpful, ready to satisfy every request. Our room was large and well appointed, clean, with views of the Bosphorus. On the ground floor of the hotel, there is an excellent coffee shop where you can taste tipical delicious pastries. If I go back to Istanbul, would stay again at Nea suites. It's better than at home!
+ Great location, very close to old city tourist locations. + Helpful staff, despite not all of them understand what you say :) + Rooms are beautiful and clean We enjoyed staying there overall.
- Some staff doesn't speak English. - They have some mini-cafe opened downstairs, which also is a hotel entrance. Cafe is closed after 11pm, so if you arrive later or take a walk at night, you have ask to let you in every time. - We were promised to have a balcony in the deluxe suite, however we didn't had one.
