Service at Neorion was outstanding. From check in to check out, they outdid themselves! There was delicious & generous breakfast until 11am & after, there were mezes til 6-7 pm!! Every evening there was wine/drinks at the terrace to see the beautiful sunset over the old town. It was very close to everything, but it didn't feel crowded. My only complain, and a small one, spotty wi-fi. But if we're ever back in Istanbul, we'd stay here!!
We have never been to Istanbul, so we we're apprehensive. Right away the staff made us feel at home and safe. They did everything to help us get the most out of vacation. We enjoyed the roof top deck, location to all the attractions and oh yah did I say CLEAN.
Located so close to most major sites that it was a relief to drop back for a (free) lunch and hammam before the next cultural visit.
Not totally perfect wifi, but that is being very picky!
hospitality localization food snack free comfort sunset drinks free
Small hotel which allowed for individual attention. The hosts -- and that is how they think of themselves -- met every request cheerfully, and then some. Check in is not a perfunctory administrative function. You are greeted, offered your choice of beverages and shown to a comfortable seat where the hotel and the city are explained to you.
- Suitable rooms for family and children with separate areas (108) - Attention to detail in room cleanliness - Separate amenities for children (unfortunately the crayon shaped soaps are starting to run out!) - Reception staff very attentive, always friendly - Location to trams and major sites - Rooftop terrace with drinks
I liked the cooperation of staff and the cleanliness of the hotel.
Wifi is very slow. Also I suggest that they add a blanket in rooms.
Excellent customer service and very friendly staff throughout. Rooftop terrace has fabulous views of the city. Very good complementary breakfast. Great location within 10 mins walk to major sights and tram system.
A little disappointed that our room on the 2nd floor had no view from the window and looked out on a brick wall.. Suggest anyone booking tries to get rooms on the upper floors.
service, location and facilities were outstanding. We could not fault.
Staff was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.
best of everything - comfortable room, excellent location, very friendly and thorough customer services, and a beautiful rooftop terrace! I would definitely recommend the Neorion hotel and would stay there again if I ever come back to Istanbul.
This is a great little place in a very easy to access neighborhood that's very walkable to all of the major tourist attractions. The staff are fantastic and very accommodating.
The WiFi was a little slow.
Hotel staff went out of their way to make you feel at home Meze platters at lunch time were great Roof terrace is lovely
When you arrive they ask what interests you in Istanbul and give excellent guidance. The staff try hard to please. The roof has spectacular views and you can sit there and enjoy a drink
Nothing to be unhappy about
We enjoyed our time at the hotel. They went out of their way to make us feel at home, even gave us a farewell gift placed on an elephant created out of towels. Their attention to detail was appreciated. A waiter worth mentioning is their bell boy who served us drinks on their top floor. He noticed I was cold and gave me a towel to keep warm and gave us shelter behind his bar when it was raining. He treated us like royalty.
The tv reception was not great
Considerate and attentive staff.Location of Hotel .Relaxing roof top terrace bar with great views.
Service and warm welcome Nothing was too much trouble Breakfast and lunch included daily Perfect location Home away from home!
i don't usually bother leaving hotel reviews but this small hotel in Istanbul was so lovely that i must leave it a recommendation. It is in a great location for tourists, close to all the main sights. (NB location not really suitable for business travellers). It has a large open air roof top terrace with a great view of the Bospherous, a small but perfectly adequate basement swimming pool plus sauna and decent sized Turkish bath (hamam). Our bedroom was quite small but perfectly adequate and decent value for money. The staff were fantastically friendly and helpful.
The wifi was a little temperamental but that is not unusual in Turkey; it is usually an issue at the service provider end which the hotel can't help.
The hotel has excellent service standards. Staff are friendly ,go out of their way and the rooms well appointed. Nice roof top and complimentary drinks at sunset.
Noisy location Concierge was not too well versed but knew of basic traveler inquiries.
- The staff (especially Fatih) who were available and eager to help with everything we asked for - The rooftop terrace, where we enjoyed the glass of wine our last night at sunset - The Turkish bath and spa on floor –2; a real treat - The included one-way transportation from the airport - The included breakfast and snacks - Easy to access WiFi on all floors
- The bed. Although we had a rather large bed, it was composed of two mattresses pushed together, it was uncomfortable to sleep in the middle of the bed. A one-piece mattress would be far more comfortable. - WiFi performance was pretty bad at times
The amazing staff, always willing to serve our needs with a smile on their faces. Great taste, from decor to services offered (wonderful mezze and breakfast). We also thought that the customer relations employee was of great help, telling us everything we needed to know about Istanbul.
Too short of a staying...
Lovely boutique hotel in the centre of the Old City with an easy access to everything you want to see. Rooms are spotless, and beds are very comfortable. The facilities and services are great: swimming pool, hammam, WiFi, roof desk terrace with a view over Bosphorus and complementary drink, free mezze and soup from 1pm to 7pm, airport transfer, welcoming letter and a nice gift for everyone at the time of departure. Staff is superb, very friendly and attentive, trying to accommodate every need of hotel's guests. They made our stay in Istanbul very special.
It was in a very central location.
There was nothing to dislike
Location was fair in Sirkeci. You still have a bit of a walk to Sultanahmet. Cab drivers at Blue Mosque refused to drive us back to hotel and told us to walk. Not pleasant at night after a long day of touring. The rooftop view is exceptional. WiFi is fine. The afternoon meze buffet is generous. The room is OK and is 3-star at most. Bathroom is small but modern. My fiancé had a massage and liked it although I think she got shorted on the time by 10 minutes
Sirkeci neighborhood not that interesting. The reviews of this hotel are a bit too generous. This is a 3-star hotel that is clean. The staff are friendly. We did not require extra services. By comparison we earlier stayed at Pera Palas which is 5-star property and had drinks at Four Seasons also 5-star.
