Beautiful location; easy walk to village; stunning design touches, making the hotel look genuinely old with Turkish artifacts on display; attention to detail eg ability to use kitchen, free use of umbrellas, torches, candles in bedroom and bathroom; relaxed atmosphere |

An adventure to get to as it is high in the mountains outside of Selchuk and difficult to find. Winding, gravel, narrow road never to be navigated at night. The restaurant is quite beautifully rustic and very small as only a very limited number of guests are possible to accommodate in the few restored cottages available. The food was excellent and must be ordered earlier in the day. It is imperative for older or physically challenged individuals to know that it is extremely difficult to negotiate the cobblestones and unlighted gravel pathways especially in the evening and it must be done with flashlights. The cottages are very basic, but the setting is lovely if you can get to it! |

The tranquility, uniqueness, breakfast, setting, village atmosphere, staff, nature, etc. Lack of air conditioning in the houses. |

The Nisanyan Hotel is a unique place--tucked away on a winding mountain road, it's an Inn plus some lovely cottages. The grounds are beautiful- with lovely views of the little town below, fruit trees ripe for the picking (it was August), flowers growing alongside every path, a marble swimming pool, and the sense that you are at kind of a luxury farm. The sound of the donkey's braying, the goats, the horses, and the opera always playing softly in the dining area are some of my fondest memories. It's a very special place, and the staff are wonderful. Travelers who have trouble walking or climbing will not be happy with the steep paths. |

The cottages are fantastic- beautifully decorated with lots of old world charm. The restaurant is also lovely and the food quite good- we loved the breakfast baskets with natural honey and fresh bread which were delivered daily. Unfortunately so did the scores of local cats and dogs which invaded our patio to dine and dash- watch your food, folks!! It was great to unwind in the pool after a hot day in the Turkish sun. The owner of this hotel was obviously absent- while the staff was pleasant, there was no personal attention or warmth. If you're a light sleeper, the local village dogs bark all night long- don't forget your nyquil! |
