The view from floors above the first floor is amazing. The Maiden's tower is just in front of you! There is a park in front that overlooks the bosphorus.. you can go and enjoy a calmly weather. The breakfast is great! typical Turkish breakfast. Light and healthy. It is a very safe neighborhood as the police are always there and you can even see them having breakfast at the restaurant ! The bed is extremely comfy! however, I could not find a room with a king size bed, but it was ok. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. specially Selim! he made my stay an excellent one after I thought of changing the hotel and helped with all my concerns. Mustafa as well is a great help and he speaks fluent Arabic. There is a tram station just in front of the hotel (Findikli). The best thing, it is a dry hotel! no alcoholic drinks were available. There is a mini Carrefour down the hotel where you can buy your stuff. An ATM machine is also available. When I left, they were doing renovations in the place and they will open a roof area where I bet the view would be fascinating. They always restock my complementary water bottles and the bathroom toiletries. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was beyond amazing! I loved the hotel but I have some things I didn't like, I hope they can learn from it and make things better for my next stay!
- The wifi was horrible in room 601, and in other rooms it keeps disconnecting and you have to log in several times. - The furniture is weary, the carpet is dirty and smells, bathrooms are small in most of the rooms ( I changed three rooms only one had a bigger bathroom). The drain was clogged in room 601. To get a hot water from the tap you have to put the handle in the middle where the water flows extremely powerful and it splashes you! - The pillows were dirty inside (outside it was clean but from inside it was horrible, never cleaned) but after I complained the new room was squeaky clean. - The boiler was not clean (someone boiled milk inside and it was dirty) - They do not provide a tissue box unless you ask for it. - You can hear the TV noise from the other rooms. The walls are not soundproofed. - Exchange rate: When you pay in Euro, they give you the change in Turkish Liras at an exchange rate of the hotel not the market exchange rate. When you pay in Lira, you pay at the hotel exchange rate not the market rate! Either ways you end up losing some money! - The hotel is expensive for its condition (for a single person). Ok the location is amazing however it is quite expensive.Value for money is not great. - I did not see this in any Turkish hotel, but would be nice to start to see it: the Qibla (prayer) direction in the rooms. It can be put on the sealing of the room. Not everyone had GPS to know where to pray. - I wished if the orange juice on the breakfast was fresh. It was a boxed one. - The iron and iron table were old and weary. - The golden covered pillows (decorative) were dirty and they just place them on the clean pillows where you have to sleep. The decorative blanket was also dirty (but it was all clean in the my last room) - Some bosphorus looking rooms are small (one out of three rooms I have been in was big), but the city view rooms are spacious.
Good location. Close to metro. Clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast.
No alcoholic drinks Location Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The gentleman serving during the breakfast time is very helpful. The bed and wifi are great. The tram station is very close. The fruit basket was good although the fruit was not really fresh compared to the ones we had in yalova.
Location Access to public transport Bosporus view room Breakfast
Small Bathroom Even smaller shower with limited acess Water stalls in sink unproperly fittede faucet (if open partially water would leak outside sink)
the cleanning, wifi, facilities dont exist
Location View Staff High Tech
No enough closet space Weak wifi Staff con not give information about transportation No enogh power sockets in the room

This is one of my little time when I say nothing negative about this hotel
Staff helpfulness and free wifi were a great benefit.
Good location. Close to metro and taqsim. Clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast. Friendly and professional staff, especially Mr. Selim.
The hotel staff were wonderful
1-The cleanliness was badly due to since I came I found the bed cover with a lots of spots and no body changed it during my stay while they daily cleaned the room. 2-Bosphorus view was not well because they put me in the first floor close to the street you can hear the cars and buses. it was too upset. 3- I stay three days and i don't see any change in the breakfast, I thought they should have daily food change.
Nixon hotel is just awesome. The location is perfect not in the busy area of Istanbul but in front of a teram station which makes transportation very easy.the view from our room was magnificent. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us a lot. The breakfast was delicious . We enjoyed our stay sooo much
Almost nothing ... But breakfast was the same every day no omelette station , which isn't a big deal but in general nothing negative to mention
The one and only disadvantage was the fact that we were not able to drink alcohol while sitting outside next to Bosphorus!
It's an excellent option
room is good size clean staff are excellent good location quiet to sleep
1- noise of the traffic if you keep the windows open 2- the hotel is not well none buy taxi drivers
Mr salem in the reception , was very helpful and coorparative person , he will make us come again to the hotel.
Spa not available for maintenance
Though not directly in the city center this location offers quiet & nice environment, nearby services and efficient transportation to the main touristic attractions. Bosphorus view is great!
Location is a bit noisy ( due to heavy traffic and not perfect insonorization) especially for room overlooking the Bosphorus
Promiximity to city
Not enough amenities for family vacation
1. The location, the tram in front of the hotel, the metro 150 m away, ferry station 150 m away. 2. The view from the room to phosphor sea was great. 3. The restaurant of the hotel was excellent. 4. The room was spacious. 5. The third bed in the room for the kid was a real bed not a crib. 6. The staff were helpful.
- Location. You can reach any place easily - Management and staff very cooperative - Salim in front desk. He is a very helpful person, and knows how to deal with guests - Furniture all new, and high level of cleanliness - A/Cs working very good - Sound proof towards the windows on bosphorus side
Breakfast is poor. Need to have more varieties. - When walking in corridors you can hear all chats in the rooms, no matter how quiet it is. - I don't recommend to deal with "OZGUR" at front desk. He is rude. Be careful, he may "SHOOSH" guests and tell them "STUPID" like he did with me. He made a mistake in airport transportation, and discovered it the last minute, and I was late for my schedule. The management admitted the mistake, though, and told me they took necessary action against him.
Good value hotel with a good location, seems to have been renovated to a good standard
The full hotel name is Nixon Bosphorous DRY hotel....this is not advertised anywhere. Only on the small print after booking. So if you want a bar in the hotel or a minibar with a beer or two, don't book here.
View of the Bosphorus Very willing, helpful & polite staff
Rooms tiny Bathroom was tiny and shower leaked so bathroom floor was flooded every time the shower was used Terrible wi-fi - not even usable in the room
I liked Everything ! Especially the Bosporus view and overall it was the greatest hotel stay in Istanbul as to the value for money. Not to mention the helpful staff with their good English speaking.
Nothing major or worth mentioning!
