nice and friendly stuff, comfortable apartment, and calm
One night before we asked for a late check in for a very hard medical reason ( for 4 hours only),they accepted for free. I was surprised that the day our discharge that we must pay for it .
the rooms were clean and relativly new, and bathrooms also were clean. The value is great for people whos looking for a low cost place to stay.
although the nieghborhood was very quit at night But it was scary and the people were of a shady character
Friendly helpful informal staff. Giant fridge and adequate cooking facilities if you wanted to eat in, but eating out there was very cheap. Very busy central area but in a cheerful way. Near enough to walk to Sultanamet the historic area but half an hour down hill and across the river. Wonderful fish market near the ferry terminal for the Bosphorus tour.
The 200m walk down the hill to the hotel was not suitable for people with any mobility problems the pavements were very rough and uneven and accidents could easily happen.
Nice and quiet place, not on the touristic streets, yet close to them. Food store just around a the corner. We were able to feel the local atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and had a great attitude. Overall clean. Good price for value. Well equipped bathroom. Small, but comfortable. We recommend!
There could be some cleaning supplies and towels for guests use in the kitchen. The fridge was very loud, probably needs to be fixed.
Location was good as it was close to Istiklal st, staff specially the guy who called Merih was extraordinary person, he helped us in every occasions and matters professionally and friendly. Overall it was a good place for families.
I booked a double bed room flat which was suppossed to has 1 double bed and 3 single beds but unfortunately there were just two double beds in rooms.
Nothing good in this suite , I didn't recommend
For sure, the employee named Mehmet.Always there for your needs and questions. The hotel is situated in a popular place. I mean children playing in the street.I liked it very much.I do not like to stay in a place for tourits only. Near all you want ( market etc).10 minutes of bus for eminuno. 10 minutes walks for Isklatial street.
No table and chair to take meal. Tou have to eat on the desk.
Spacious apartment new kitchen equipment friendly staff Close to Istiklal street and Taksim square close to many grocery shops
Creepy neighborhood no everyday cleaning service
the beds not clean all small hiar on the bed
When we first arrived late at night we were really worried about the location.. But when you get inside you see it's actually quite a haven. The room was wonderfully decorated, spacious and bright, bed beautifully comfortable with nice linen. Very nice modern and spacious bathroom. Really felt like our little home in Istanbul for the week!
Ok so it's really in the hood, got told on a couple of occasions to be careful in the area.. But it's close to lively Taksim, there is 24 hour reception and taxis over to Sultanahmet are cheap so it wasn't really a problem for us. Actually it felt like a real authentic experience. Shopkeepers in the area were all perfectly friendly. There were a few details missing in the room like tv wasn't working, phone not plugged in, kitchen supplies a bit lacking but nothing that bothered us. Staff lacked professionalism at times.
Staff in Omer Hayyam Suits was friendly and great. They were ready to help me to find or provide anything I need. I liked the fact, that there was always someone in the hotel reception and the hotel doors was open until very late. Guys in reception was speaking english, which makes a lot of things easier.
The location around hotel is very poor, which made me feel unpleasant if I had to walk later in the evening, although location is only 15min walk from the Taksim square. The telephone in the hotel room didn't work. Internet usually is gone around 3.00 a.m, but it's already there in early morning.
It is very close to Istiklal road which is one of the main streets in Istanbul. They clean the room whenever you want/asked them to. The personnel is very kind and friendly. Out of 4 receptionists we saw there, 3 of them knew English. Only 1 of them which was there at night sometimes didn't speak any English.
Wifi was either extremely slow or completely down. Tv was actually satellite Tv which was all the time deranged because of the wind and they didn't repair it. So you didn't have Tv most of the time and they only had Turkish channels. Many dishes were broken in the kitchen already when we arrived. One of the toilets (we had two rooms booked) smelled so bad and the personnel couldn't do anything about it. The bathing soaps, shampoo, etc. were not enough in the bathrooms. They didn't put one for each person but one for a room.
Great rooms nicely decorated. Great personel with helpful attitude. There is a small laundry shop on omer Hayyam cadessi which can help you locate the suites. Otherwise you will get lost as we did. For a big group of friends it might be safer than going couples.
The rooms on the other side are not do big as they look and the superior suite doesn't have the sofa or the separate kitchen or the living room as described on the photos. So don't expect to see the size of the photos. The worst thing and I'm really sad to admit is the location. It's too fat away from the center due to the bad incline, it's like a huge way down. You almost have to climb to reach istiklal. The neighborhood is the other problem. It's similar to a ghetto, not the happiest or helpful people. 1 of them tried to lure as on an unknown street. So be really careful there. You will find difficulty to locate the suites because it's on some really small streets where nor my GPS or my printed map could find it. It seems easy on Google maps but it's difficult. The other unpleasant thing was that we could not go out from the suites after 21:00 because the streets are getting really dangerous in this street. Need of a taxi. We were back at suites before the sun falls so we would be safe. In my opinion not suitable for families or people with disabilities like problem with walking, legs or anything medical that requires a good physical condition.
Very good value for money
every things are good
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were very spacious. The furniture was a little old and broken but the beds and sheets were very clean. The value for money was awesome.
The staff helped us unload our luggage and took it to our room. They helped answer any questions that we had, and they accommodated us even with our small children with pleasure. We loved every bit of our stay there. We will definitely be going again in the future!
They were still in some of the set up stages of the room that we were in so the washing machine and the dishwasher weren't working. The elevator kept breaking down, but these were such small things in comparison to the fantastic staff and experience that we had there!
Their services are below average. I didn't like anything.
1) they lie about the area of rooms. It is smaller than they post on the web. 2) Poor internet, most of the time absent and when present it is very slow. 3) when problem occur it took too long to fix it. like satellite TV channels problems. We stayed 5 days without TV. 4) they deduct the cost of the stay in advance via my visa card. So, i found difficulty to cancel my booking after I found that their services are not good.
the owner is very kind and cooperative , the location is excellant . my appartment in particular was very good and comfort with an excellent sight view .
poor maintenance , poor inlet , narrow elevator , very poor inconvenience and dirty neighbourhood , irregular room cleaning ,
