Staff are very nice and helpful Food was decent Location was nice They have given me an upgrade to a higher and better view for free
The bed mattress could have been more comfortable but it was not very bad
Wi-Fi very poor AC not working
Wonderfull staff in Spa (it's free), good pilling and massage procedures, good restaurant and view from it
The room was not prepared for our arrival: battery in door's lock was discharged, jacuzzi was broken and did not work (we have a room with jacuzzi and queen-size bed). The man at the reception was bad speaking English. He said, that in the reason, that it's the last our night in this hotel, he can't help us. )) For the reason of price of the room that was funny )
Location and the view
There is foul smelling in the bathrooms
view is great and the room was good.
sewer smell which could not be helped .it seems to come from sink and shower .the toilet was not a cuulprit.
The view to the Bosphorus from the balcony was amazing. The facilities and breakfast in the hotel are good. Big room with good bed and bathroom.
A bit expensive. The balcony is not really private (they should have plants in between the balconies).
the view to the vosporous was breathtaking. We were sleeping with the curtens open so we can enjoy it any time.
need to pay attention to details. some furniture of the room was desenfective, also the small mirror to the bathroom.for a quinn room this must be perfect. some time there was a bad smell from the shower. the english for the Turkish is a bit problem!
Staff are rood. Cleaning of the room is poor. Breakfast is awful. Location is bad. Bed is the worset ever and the smell of the room is awful.
The view from our room was unbelievable. We woke up each morning to the sun rising over the bosporus and the city coming to life. The balcony was a huge plus, as was the inclusive breakfast buffet. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was great. The location is walking distance to multiple metros as well as the Kabatas port for ferry service. We were able to get easily around the city without relying on taxis or getting stuck in traffic. The hotel also has a full gym, swimming pool and restaurant. For the price, Hotel Opera can't be beat! We would definitely recommend it to anyone spending a few days sightseeing in Istanbul who don't want to pay the high price of a five-star hotel.
Some of the rooms have a foul sewer smell. The first room we were given was unacceptable from this standpoint. After suffering for one night, the staff promptly moved us to another room that did not have the odor. Definitely request a room on a higher floor to avoid this problem (3rd floor or higher), and make special mention of it when booking. We would also recommend checking the room before having your luggage delivered. Hopefully the hotel figures out how to remedy this situation soon so that all rooms are habitable.
spectacular views of the Bosphorus from the hotel room
bad smell in the room,
location, spectacular views from the terrace of our room
pool is located in the ground floor surrounded by tall buildings, so use of the pool is limited on just few hours during the day. The smell of some rooms are really very bad , and probablly comes from water pipes
we stayed one of these spa thub rooms and it was nicely decorated with modern furniture and luxurious.
Room has windows from one end to other from celing to floor and next building is very close. Thub in the room was pretty visible from next building (apparently there was a kebab shop there) and doesn't feel secure and has no privacy unless you shut all curtains. its always possible to shut the curtains, if you think it makes sense having that many windows and partly very good view.
Co-operative staff. Amazing service quality and hospitality.
We did not like the corridor area. It was quite dull.
Location perfect for my needs, beautiful views if you book a Bosphorus room.
Facilities looking tired, maintenance required, for example curtains missing hooks, upholstery needing seen to. Maybe minor details to some but spoils the whole thing.
- the location only when you book on high floors and corner suites.
- the staff were not patient. - the jacozy was not functioning. And we called them 3 times and they didn't fixed it. - few options on the Buffett. - there were problems with the room cleanness and the water as we'll. I don't recommend it at all
Everything is perfect from staff to food, location and friendy and helpful of the staff.
Wi-Fi was bit slow
lovely breakfast, nice shower, very clean, nice amenities given daily, great view on roof, robe and slippers, very nice staff
steep walk down stairs to get to metro.
fantastic view from the roof top restaurant, beds are extremely comfortable, staff is friendly, vale-parking
some of the rooms have bad smell from the water pipes
The staff, location, resturant, sea view ,cleanness and comfortable room It was best choice for us , we spent good time there was quit and the staff were friendly and helpful , recommunded to families
The location of the hotel is great. It was not known by several taxi drivers though so make sure you have the address with you at all times. The hotel is modern, the pool area / gym is very clean & nicely done. The sky-bar has an amazing view.
Wine selection of the sky-bar was very poor. We have stayed in the Suite with the bath and great view. Whilst the room would have been very nice there was a terrible smell. We complained several times, the hotel tried to fix it by placing some scents in the room; which did not help. On our last night they offered us to move to another room. We rejected that given it would have been a hassle to move for our last night. We asked for reimbursement - given the terrible smell; which was rejected. So - not the best customer service that would make us go back.
Good quality hotel View from roof top
Pool OK, but a little small
Great hotel for Honeymooners and young couples with a great views and romantic restaurant on the roof.
Internet access is something that this hotel MUST fix for customers.
The food was great, the staff were on point. The views were excellent.
I requested a upper room and I checked in to late for them to make that happen. The tub had an odor when drained completely. Small change compared to everything else.
Wonderful view over the Bosphorus from the roof restaurant and the balcony of the breakfast room; close - but not too close - to Taksim square
