The location of the place is in the centre of Goreme so it wasn't difficult to find food or find something to do. The owner Chetin is also incredibly nice. He arranged our activities for our stay even though we weren't there long and offered us tea and cooked us dinner on one of the nights.
I loved the kindness of the staff, the owner Chico was very nice with us and made everything in his power to make us feel comfortable as we were at home. The position is great, perfect for long trekking in the valleys nearby. Breakfast is super, we never had lunch because we were still full of food! The terrace is an amazing spot to have some tea together with the guests and play board games. We were really lucky, exemplary hotel
Owner Chetin is very helpful and kind. I asked a hell lot of questions and he replied to me very promptly. Hotel is located right in the centre of Goreme. 5 minutes walk to the bus station. Value for price. You also get a huge discount if you book the hot air balloon trip from them.
The facility is a bit old, but you get everything you need. I would also suggest the hotel to put a sign saying the staff can be found in the restaurant if nobody is in the reception :)
Rooms, location, breakfast and staff
This hotel is a comfortable place for all type of traveler. Beautiful room, nice breakfast and good wifi. Hostel was very friendly. His advices were helpful for us. I think he are owner of this hotel. Maksim and Anna.
First of all, hotelier(Mr.Chetin) has great mind as a hotel manager. He considers hotel service as being more important than anything else. If you need anything, just ask him and he let you know the best solution. Second, as its location is a center of Gorome, you can easily approach restaurants and shops. Third, a room is so cozy and nice considering its price.
Nice breakfast, Chattin the manager was very helpful in arranging tours and giving all sort of information. Location is good if you dont want to walk up and down the hill however if you want a view then look for some hotel a little higher on the hill.
we had booking issues on our first night, we had to wait an hour before we were adjusted in some other hotel
Excellent location, in the center of Goreme, near a bus stop, surrounded by restaurants and shops. Walking distance to the Open Air Museum. Tasty breakfast on the roof terrace with a breathtaking view of the village, rocks and flying hot balloons. Traditional tapestries and oriental decor tastefully adorned every inch of this cozy hotel. There are hot tea, coffee and cold water on the terrace all the time. It was very easy to communicate, since the owner, Chetin, spoke an excellent English, was hospitable, knowledgeable and very helpful, and was always around to assist his guests. We felt like we were staying at our best friend's house. Our room (in the front) was small but clean and had a fabulous view. Convenient airport shuttle pickup at the door of the hotel.
It was a tiny bathroom with a toilet located in the shower enclosure/unit.
Loved the ambiance and hospitality. Great place for people who are looking for a traditional place to stay. Romantic hotel for couples.
Wifi was bad, great hotel otherwise
The location and room price including the hotel staff
It is located at where is very close to Goreme bus terminal. (less than 3 mins on foot) Room is relaxing, and staffs are exceptionally kind and willing to provide any information tourists need without forcing tour-program contract. Moreover, I was touched at hotel manager offering breakfast service before check-in time. If you are not looking for luxurious cave hotels, this would be the best choice in Cappadocia.
You should not expect new and luxurious stuffs in rooms. However, please remember that here is not a high-budget hotel.
Loved everything, hospitality, friendliness, nice breakfast, Felt there like being a friend of the owner, not just a guest
......Nothing at all
the room the staff the hotel was comfortable staff very helpful would go there again
I liked the feindly staff who went out of their way to help you. Evidently it is under new ownership and the new owner has plans to make it even better.
Curtains in bedroom to short, there was a gap at the bottom, felt there was not enough privacy. The toilet was positioned actually in the shower cubicle, although functional and space saving I did get my feet wet several times!
The Hotel is only few minutes walk from Goreme Otogar, best town's restaurant and tours' departure point. The hotel has an ethnic/local style and the terrace is perfect in the morning for breakfast watching ballons pass by and in the evening to rest after a walk through near valleys. Our room was clean and cozy and the owner, Chetin is the perfect host, he gave us so many infos and advices that we forgot about our written guide. By the way he can arrange for you almost anything you wish to do around the area.
The only thing we may suggest is to ask which room will be yours. There are three rooms option, wooden room, cave, and stone arched.
I would like say great hotel. Location is perfect downtown.. just 30second.. haha When I feel hot I just visit hotel sometimes. Top of restuarant is great for breakfast and rest. And also very nice and kind staffs. I stayed there very comfotable. Thank u. :) See u again
Hmmm Wifi?? But here is cave hotel I can understand. we could use wifi in lobby. not our room. But I think that It is not big deal. Vacation.. without internet is good. haha
Good location - just next to otogar with a nice view over the town. Nice terrace. Helpful staff. Very good value for money.
Upon arrival we were able to check in straight away which was fantastic (and maybe just a bit lucky as well) even though we were quite early from our overnight bus. The owner, Chiko, was there to great us and he looked after us extremely well from beginning to end. The room was clean and spacious and the location is fantastic, right in the centre of town but is still very quiet. This is by far and away the best value for money we have had in Turkey so far
The wi-fi can be intermittent, however this seems to be quite standard throughout Turkey so it did not detract from our stay
Cave suite (50sqm, romantic) right in the center of Goreme Frindly staff and owner. Very good!
there's no wifi on the cave rooms but there are in the others and along the hotel (including terrace)
Location, breakfast place on the roof, decoration of the hotel. In principle - good place for this money.
Poor ventilation in bathroom, too hot sometimes without aircondition, but that looks like a norm in Goreme.
Oriental Cave Suites really impressed us. The owner is knowledgeable, incredibly helpful, speaks English very well, and has a great sense of humor! He and his staff helped us organize airport transfers and daily excursions, and also gave us great advice for good restaurants and activities to do on our own (like go to Sunset Point). The hotel itself has tons of historic charm and is really an incredible value for the price. We slept in a cave room that was totally quiet without feeling claustrophobic. And there's also a great view from the terrace of town. (it's located right in the center of town).
Wi-fi didn't work in our room. (but after all, we were staying in a cave with thick stone walls!) It worked perfectly just outside our room in the lobby, so it really wasn't a problem at all.
Central location, silent, and confortable! Chetin is the best person in cappadocia ;) Giada
This little place is quite nice, especially if you have a cave room. We booked a non cave room because it said it would have air con and were very disappointed to find that it didnt have it. The manager is very personable and seems to bend over backwards for you, but to us this didnt quite make up for the fact that our bathroom was not clean and that the switch to a cooler room didnt happen until 3 days after our arrival. (Out of four.) Despite being promised on arrival that this would happen after 2 nights.
Our biggest issue was that the manager sold us balloon flights which he told us would have 16 people in a basket and would be with a very well established company. We were not at all impressed when the bus arrived for a less reputable company, and we were stuck in a basket with 24 people! Basically, this means that we were overcharged by 40 euros because the manager lied to us about the details of the balloon trip. So, the hotel is fine, assuming you can live with the standard of the bathrooms, the terrace is nice and the manger is helpful and friendly, but don't book anything extra through them, because they are charging well above the market rate.
Very helpful osner flexible checkout, breakfast turkish with a view !!!
The hotel was great Inside the goreme I was with motorbike and it was parked just outside the hotel. There was a camera above and absolutely no problem. The wooden balcony on the rooftop had great view of Goreme and we spent many hours there. They are serving there also the breakfast on the rooftop. The people from the hotel were very friendly and they were talking english. The decoration of the hotel was great with wooden and stone floors giving you the sense you were at a friends house. It was quiet very easy to find and very close to the central market. We asked for a laundry for some clothes and the guy from the hotel and he returned us washed at no charge. The room was stoned and great
