It's like having your own little room in Ortaköy. The staff is helpful, just like having a friendly neighbor. You feel at home and everything is clean and perfectly functional. The location is great, right where you want to be if you decide to avoid the crowded sultanahmet and taksim districts.
Breakfasts are fine but not in the hotel: you walk to the nearby 6 ustu kafe, about half a block away. So no going to breakfast in your pijamas!
Really nice people working there. The location is good and central.
The stuff was very helpful and the terrace on the roof was amazing. We also liked the cosiness of the neighborhood, it is somewhat more quite than the city center.
The room was small, and the bathroom could have been cleaner, but for a long weekend it is still an excellent choice.
Well-appointed rooms in charming neighbourhood with many small street cafes and restaurants.
The location is somewhat out of the way for first-time visitors to Istanbul and public buses can be full at peak times.
The nice little hotel is a bit outside of busy Istanbul in a very nice area near a pedestrian zone with many small restaurants. To the Bosporus it is a walk of less than 10 minutes. In this area you can really have a break from Istanbul! There are also a lot of buses taking you to the city of Istanbul. And most of the important sights can be reached in short time. Salih and his team were always helpful. Whenever I go back to Istanbul I know where I would stay!!!
Helpful staff, nice location, cheap price
The breakfast is very simple and not really supplied until the time they mentioned. The hotel is facing to the trash can, very noisy. The bottom floor is very humid and didn't smell good.
First, owner and the staff. They all are amazing people, who did everything to make our stay comfortable, to please us. Besides Turkish, they speak English and French too. I also have to mention that delicious farewell breakfast we had with Salih bey (the owner) and his family. Second, rooms and bathroom are cosy and clean. Rooms are staffed with everything you may need, including kettle, glasses, plates, etc. For anything additional you can approach the staff - response is almost instant. Bed is very comfortable, towels are changed daily. Third, view of the Bridge from terrace is wonderful. I liked evenings at the terrace. Fourth, location of the hotel is just right - walking distance from the sea, where you will find famous Maraş ice-cream, Ortaköy kumpir, traditional Turkish coffee and more. Buses will connect you to anywhere you need and Salih bey will readily advise you where to go, when and how much it will cost. I strongly recommend Ortakoy Suites both for leisure and business travellers.
Nothing, the score shown for this property is 100% wrong, the manager reported NO SHOW not to allow me post a review, i think he is doing this with everyone.
the room totally different from the description. The room was 10m2 instead of the mentioned 30m2. Everything was very dirty, hair everywhere. Insects as well. Water debit is very low. The breakfast is not in the same building but a cafe that is far from the hotel. The room has almost transparent curtains so I was not able to sleep. Far from any standards.
The staff where excellent the room was very clean but very small really a single room.
The room was too small and we where expecting a suite with microwave and kettle but none provided as there was no room anyway. Bit dissapointing really.
Stayed here while attending a conference in Istanbul. Exceptionally good value for the price and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent (right in the middle of the liveliest area of Istanbul), the facilities are quite nice (if a little basic, but for me this is no big deal - I just need someplace to sleep and shower) and it has free wifi (something which even the more expensive hotels around charge for).
At first, it's a little difficult to find (especially if you don't have cellular service in Istanbul), so make sure you know exactly where it is before you go.
The staff is very polite and helpful and they speak english. The room was large enough and with all the comfort. The hotel is placed perfectly for the Bosphorus Cross-Continental swimming race.
The lockaction was great,it is situated in a charming part of the Istanbul, out of the turist crowded area, yet near one of the most beautiful mosques in Istanbul and a very special Armenian church that is just 2 minut walk away from the hostel. The top patio offers a fantastic view of the Bosphorus bridge,so you can enjoy a lighting system show of changing colours and patterns. The staff was most helpfull and nice. The guys will give you all the information needed.I strongly recommend this hostel
Nothing at all
these are newly renovated rooms. The word suites would not be suitable for the rooms in which we stayed. The owner Mr Saleh was an excellent host during my stay we had a feeling that we are not staying at a hotel but with a friend or a family member. He came along with me to all the places I asked for. Mr Emanuel was another nice soul who was always there to assist when we asked for.The breakfast of the property is served in a nearby cafe. It was the best breakfast we had during our stay of Turkey.
Nothing that I could note
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff! They even helped us to book flight tickets as a favour. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and is located in a charming part of Istanbul. Any shop you can think of is virtually on your doorstep. Public transportation is also very close by. The DT2 bus will take you to the ferries of Kabatas and Taksim Square where the Havatas buses stop.
Not a single thing.
I liked to staff and location. The room was bearable however I felt little discomfort. I liked the rooftop where one could sit in evenings.
The rooms a bit not tidy. The biggest problem was wi-fi, which i needed for business.
