We liked breakfast and the speed of staff

It's worse than Kerme Ottoman whre we stayed last summer

The swimming pool was nice and clean and had a small toddler section. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. The hotel is fairly new so everything is still in a reasonable condition. Less than a minute's walk to a couple of good fish restaurants directly on the beautifully cool river/springs which is also where the hotel serves its breakfast. Kids get to watch the fish and ducks and adults can eat in relative peace!

Watch out at the fish restaurants. Our evening meal cost 180TL but when I checked the credit card slip they had billed us 380TL. This was the restaurant where the hotel serves it's breakfast in the morning.

Excellent rooms, excellent service from the staff and a fair price. The hotel is situated directly opposite an outstanding restaurant (Halil in Yeri). This is my second time in Hotel Azmakhan & it has impressed me again.

Location, modern design and good condition.

There were ants in my ground floor room. I had to move any food wrappers to an outside bin.

A pretty Akyaka Hotel built in accordance with typical Akyaka architecture with a young staff always smiling and always willing to help. Rather new facilities, almost brand new furniture, lots of wood used in and out of rooms which reflects a feeling of cosiness

Laundry needs to be taken care of with a higher level of attention. We spotted a few hair on the sheets of our extra bed, which were then replaced upon our request. The new ones were even in worse condition (more hair).

We have just come back from a fantastic holiday at the Azmakhan Hotel in Akyaka. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, though you have to bare in mind this is a Turkish resort so English is limited. If you want to get away and experience Turkey away from the usual tourist spots then Akyaka is ideal. The Azmakhan is situated by the river, breakfast is served in a restaurant on the river, whilst watching the fish and ducks. The beach is a 30 minute walk away. Everything is very reasonable price wise as this area is used mainly by the Turkish, and definitely no one trying the "hard sell" on you. On our last day the hotel manager let us use the room till our taxi arrived at 6pm for no extra charge. The room was cleaned every day and had a large bed. Only downside is the menu by the pool was a bit poor and written on the back of a bit of paper in Turkish which although funny could be improved. If your looking for a nice peaceful holiday and want to see some of Turkey I would definitely recommend the Azmakhan Hotel.

This hotel is physically gorgeous and in a stunning location--nestled against mountains and just across from a peaceful river. It's just outside of the small town of Akyaka and has a country feel. There is a pretty pool (which we didn't use) and lots of other spa-related features, which we might have enjoyed under other circumstances. The outside of the building is beautifully maintained--gleaming white stucco, accented by lots of gleaming polished wood, carved in a Turkish style. The rooms were plenty big enough, with a mini-bar/fridge, and a small balcony with seating. Everything was tastefully decorated and very clean.

Despite the rather flash external appearances, some basics were missing or in disrepair. We were two couples, traveling together, and staying in separate rooms. The other couple's room had a defective showerhead that one had to hold in place manually while showering. (Hotel staff came when called and made it somewhat better.) More important though, even though our room had a screen on the doorway to their balcony, our friends' room did not! That lovely river across the road draws many mosquitos beginning in May, so without a screen, their room filled with biting insects. The only option was to keep the balcony door tightly closed, but then it was really stuffy and hot. They prefer natural cool air, but reluctantly turned on the air conditioner because the bugs were otherwise intolerable. When the aircon didn't seem to work, they called the front desk,, and asked for a different room. They were told none was available and instead arrived with a huge hand-carried screen that didn't fit the space--so still would have allowed lots of mosquitos to enter. The employee who came said to wait a while for the aircon, and it finally came on. (Note: The reservation notes say that guests would be charged extra for using air conditioning--however, our friends were not charged.)

The hotel is only 2 years old so all the fixtures and fittings are of a very good quality. The room furniture is very good indeed. Views are wonderful. With a location overlooking the river at the front and the mountains to the rear you have great views all around. Very good service by the hotel staff. Rooms cleaned and tidied every morning and fresh bath linen daily.

Great value for money - we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. The room also had wi-fi, and airconditioning. We had a car, so location was not an issue. We didn't try any spa facilities so cannot comment on this.

Coffee and tea in the room had to be payed for separately. No elevator so suitcases were hauled up and down stairs.
