Kindness of the owners. Good location and value for money. Short distance from the town centre and a good restaurant in front of the hotel. Clean room.
The owners didn't speak english at all and this doesn't help if you need any kind of information. Breakfast ok but same thing everyday.
When we arrived the owner and his wife were eating so little putout that we disturbed them. We booked two suites for 3 people but were shown into one. Owner not very happy when I pointed out that we had booked separate accommodation for my brother in law. He was very gruff all the time, never wished us good morning and was very unwelcoming the whole of our stay. There is no way we will be going back. We were a group of 3 husband, wife, and brother
Good price, for 4 adults, with kitchen facilities and "kitchen/lounge" Suite on ground floor very close to pool. Friendly welcome. Just about walking distance down into town.
Double room although had a window this was blocked and covered over with curtain. Therefore ventilation at night was very poor. Needed air conditioning on although night temperature was not high. Very stuffy! Breakfast okay but limited. A bit tatty around the edges. Inadequate lighting in bedroom.
The suites are very well kept and clean. Good views from upper suites. Turkish breakfast each morning by the pool. Ahmet and Hatice are a lovely couple.
The hotel was clean, the lady owner was always smiling and trying to speak English and help us know the Turkish names for different things. We were invited to join a group for tea on our return one evening which was so nice.
The beds were so hard that my back problem returned. The shower leaked dreadfully and would soak all the floor towels, I hope she didn't think we did it on purpose. A wet room would have been easier with no black mouldy sealant.
Rooms are a very good size, especially if you go for a 2 bed suite with a balcony with pool/sea view, are fairly basic but kept clean. Very traditional and you are made very welcome by the Turkish owners. Air con works very efficiently and towels changed regular.
Very few restaurants near so be prepaired for a longish walk into Kalkan. Language a small barrier but good fun. Tables lamps in bedrooms and a long mirror and a balcony table/chairs would be a real benefit.
Good breakfast, nice pool, comfortable bed. it really depends on what you are looking for. if you are looking for a good place to sleep, this is an excellent place to choose. It is situated a 25 minute walk from the place to be. Very friendly host Hatice
Far away from harbour and bus station, lot of noise from other air conditioners
Hatice and Ahmed looked after us really well. The breakfasts were enjoyable as was the rapport in Turkish. They speak only a little English so google translate came in very handy. Spacious clean room.
No safety deposit box or bedside lights. Bathroom could do with a general overhaul but adequate. Some TLC could turn the accommodation from good to excellent.
This is a lovely place to stay, made our holiday very relaxing. Pool was mainly used by us so we felt it was our own private place! Would stay there again
There was a language barrier but they made all the effort to understand us
The owners are very friendly and welcoming, even though I have no Turkish and they have very limited English we all managed to be understood. Lovely setting, pool area very peaceful with good size pool. Traditional Turkish breakfast was very good and was served until 10am. Rooms clean and fresh and bright, good size - I did travel alone and had a smaller suite. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased from Cafe Aqua opposite - well worth a visit- the Mojitos are excellent! Good location- not too far to walk into main old town, yes some hills, but the whole of kalkan is steep! Plenty of bars on the way to get refreshments on route. I will stay again when I return to Kalkan, thank you very much for looking after me...
I liked everything. Someone has mentioned they had an issue with Wifi, I was given the code but my phone would not accept, this was not a problem though as you can still get access using Cafe Aqua's code, their signal works from the Hotel.
Quiet location, nice traditional Turkish hosts we have to make the effort to speak their language!
No safety deposit box, limited area round the pool for sun beds, no balcony on our room
The pool Spacious rooms
Staff literally speak NO English which made things very difficult, and man was grumpy Turkish breakfast, fine for adults, awful for kids Having to pay for a glass of (cartoned) orange juice at breakfast
The attitude of the employees is not sincere or welcoming
We loved Kalkan, we were really happy with this apartment. The location was perfect for us (we had a car), the apartment was clean and as the pictures.
It would have been a perfect 10 if not two things: - The owner speaks only Turkish (but they try to understand you and please you) - You cannot cook in the apartment (no stove or microwave). But plenty of restaurant around the apartment.
real nice staff rooms always clean clean pool good breakfast a little bit outside of the center though it was not so noisy
Hatice looked after us very well she kept the rooms immacullate, cleaned everyday. Breakfast was a typical Turkish breakfast which was more than adequate. About a 15 min walk down to town but longer on the way back due the the hill. Had a good stay before we moved on to our next location.
The room was totally different from the pictures. It was on the ground floor and the windows were in front of a corridor, so it was impossible to have any privacy. A tile on the floor was missing and the room was not confortable at all. Staff does not speak english at all. Since room was not agible we left the hotel after 1 hour. We have done a formal complain to booking.com to get our money back, but the hotel, although the effettictive problems we had, just refused the refund. At the end we sent the pictures of the room to booking.com that sent us a partial refund. This is a really bad hotel, do not book this hotel ever!!
rooms are clean and comortable, pool is very nice, breakfest ok, 10 min to the city centre and 20 min to the bus station
our room stank of cigarettes (owners said that smoebody befor us smoked cigarettes, but I don't thik that it was a reason - even in the fridge you can smell it). You need to pay for a juice to breakfest, but there is no visible information about it. they will let you know about it just before leaving. We asked owners (by google translator-they don't speak english) if they could give us a lift to the bus station in the day of departure and they said ok. just before departure they said that they don't have such service and we can take a taxi. of course we could, but it was very late and we have almost missed the bus. there is no wi-fi in the room, only in the pool area
The hotel was very cute looking, clean and modern. The number of rooms works well with the quite relaxing feel of the hotel, never felt overly busy. Room was a very good size Staff were friendly
Being brought orange juice to your table at breakfast as though it was free then being asked to pay 94 lira at the end of the week!!! This was sign posted in tiny writing at the bar which we didn't go up to as the drinks were brought to our table. The cost of the orange juice should have been highlighted at the end of breakfast on the first day. Wifi was very slow More sun beds needed as hotel filled up over the week we struggled with just 8 sun beds
Price Pool Cleanliness Close to shops, beach club, town
Owners live on site but speak very little English Had to use a translate app Got angry with visitors I had
Good value , very clean , wi fi access , air con , very friendly but speak little English , but the guys fromAqua bar restaurant , will happily translate and bring alcoholic drinks and food to you
Not enough sun beds
We loved that we had to bedrooms and a living room. So good value for money. We also liked that the apartment was not to hot in the night.
The view and the noise from the road - this was not at problem when sleeping.
The pool was excellent breakfast very nice the couple who run the hotel were very nice .the only thing for us it was too far out of town
The hotel was a bit too far from town for us as we do like to wonder around in the evening as kalkan is just lovely plenty of restaurants to choose from and the people are so nice
The hosts Hatice and Ahmet make the Kalkan Park Hotel a welcoming place. Thank you!
Wifi signal was poor in the rooms
pool was lovely and clean apartment was lovely the owners were lovely and helpful location peaceful
no cooking facilities more kitchen utensils would be useful more than one mirror would be useful
