First of all, excellent stuff that made my stay very pleasant - human, helpful with nice manners and attitude. Appreciated a lot. Room was clean, spacious, internet connection worked well. Very good location - walking distance to the seaside and many delicious restaurant as well as shops. Booked a room and showed up few minutes after - even with this short time for preparation, hotel was ready to welcome me. Thank you.
Excellent breakfast, excellent Bosphorus view
Hard to find a taxi
lovely location, you are right in the middle of everything happening in Istanbul, great Bosphorus view
Location Room facilities
No English chanels in TV Poor breakfast - not much variation No hotel facilities
The hotel has a cozy interior and garden, the view from the balcony is wonderful especially at night it was amazing, the breakfast was very good and the staff are very kind and helpful.
just a 5 min walk to where all the cafes and restraunts in Ortakoy. Stayed in a Jr. Suite with a balcony overlooking the bosphourus. Nice view especially at night.
The walk uphill to the hotel.
The staff were friendly. helpful and approachable. As a three-word Turkish speaker, I appreciated their command of English. We had a long chat over breakfast with one of the two owners, and could converse on matters other than our personal convenience, eg the crisis on Turkey's border and so forth.
Some minor maintenance - eg in room 401 the shower leaks out, and the plasterwork around toilet pan is flaking.
Location- I travel to Turkey often and love Ortakoy, and Palanga Bosphorus Hotel is located in the heart of it. It is a very safe area, is in extremely close walking proximity to Ortakoy Meydani and has amazing views of the Bosphorus Bridge! Staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and although not vast, it was great and delicious.
Cleanliness- or lack thereof! Especially the toilet! I just couldn't even bare the sight of it.... Stains all over the walls, marks everywhere, the towels on the rack were even dirty! I was just absolutely disgusted! I stayed (overnight) in a basic room (level 1) and will not suggest that to anyone, but the next time I go to Turkey, I may consider staying in the penthouse ONLY if it is cleaner and more modern than the room I stayed in, purely due to the location of the hotel.
Staff attitude, The bed
the room, the noise from next door school , the breakfast , no arabic channels, hotel location is far of most major spots , walking back to the hotel is a cardio exercise
The location was great. It was safe as well. Due to the terrific traffic, that s great location to have fun without actually diving into traffic. very convenient to other places. The hotel was good but not excellent.
the hotel could be little bit more cleaner. it does not mean the room does not get cleaned every day, it does. However, if you take a deep look, you can realize that the room was not 100% clean, since neatness is top priority for me.
Friendly Staff, Clean Room and Excellent WiFi
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is very close to a bosphorus seaside restaurants, bars and clubs and Yildiz Park.
Arranged tours like Bosphorus Cruise or Princess Islands is a complete waste of money, going there by yourself would save around 70% and you will be free to go wherever you want and eat whatever you want. When they say lunch is included (Princess Islands) it means you will have a standard arranged menu and even a table in a restaurant is not free to choose. Tours are total disappointment. Hotel is situated on a quite steep hill and after a night out in seaside clubs it is a challenge to climb back.
Location Staff Rooms Comforts Breakfast
The hotel is up a slope and a difficult uphill walk for the elderly and kids,it had a terrible smell that lingered in the rooms and hallways, only one slow elevator, small breakfast buffet,We found this hotel to be very expensive for what it offered.. Disregard the high review scores!!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is new and modern. The Hotels location is perfect and very central. I'd highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Calisanlar cok cana yakin ve yardimcilar. Otel yeni ve temiz. Otelin bulundugu yer her yere cok yakin. Bu oteli herkese oneririm.
Very cozy property, the hotel is very amazing and feels like home, we loved everything about this hotel! Literally everything! Well designed, fresh. And it is located in a good area, in the middle of local entertainment/dining area. Amazing view on Bosporus and nearby Ortokoy mosque, excellent breakfast. Service is helpful, and friendly especially the owner of the hotel Mr. Ali, he is the best in the hotel he did the best he can to make our stay special and was very welcoming, can't thank him enough for his hospitality. We will definitely stay in it in on our next visit to Istanbul.
Price and location of the hotel
people , location
price to high for services
We always prefer to stay at non-starred hotels for our trips and this well located and modern designed boutique hotel has the best managing partners we have ever met!!! nothing to say too much. Ali, Ayhan and their team would do their best to make your visit the most memorable one...
Mr. Ali, the manager, was very helpful in the sites to visit in Istanbul. In general all the staff were very nice. location was excellent.
the corridor and rooms carpet floor had a bad smell and need to be changed.
Staff were friendly, value for money, good location
Noises from street when sleeping...
location was good - although I used taxies only. Very average hotel, nothing really bad about it, but also nothing really special. rooms are really basic.
aircon blowing directly on the bed - impossible to sleep when on. Breakfast was really poor. On an empty hotel I asked for later check-out at 14:30 and they (after consulting overnight with the manager) allowed it only against a 30 Euro fee.
the staff were very nice and helpful, I arrived at 10 am and they managed to check me in immediately even though the check in time is at 3 pm. the location is very close to Ortakuy and to the more quiet areas of Istanbul. the room is spacious and clean and the Wi-Fi connection in the room was good. The Breakfast had a good variety of cheeses and breads.
