Breakfast definitely best! I loved it! Also liked the female receptionist, she was genuinely kind and spoke english so well! The bed was great, service was great, well decorated. Location is KING! I would go back if I return to Istanbul... :) Thanks Peninsula!

The only thing I did't like so much, was the dirty smell of the water. I think it was the airco spreading it through the room...

the hotel is very close to karakoy and galata bridge. rooms have enough space and clean. staff and breakfast is OK.

our room -301- did not have any window to outside, so it was hard to predict if it was night or daytime. be sure to specify if it was a problem for you

Staff is friendly, breakfast is good, and the position is strategic to visit Istanbul without a car. Rooms are clean and with all the optionals (safe, refrigerator, air conditioning).

When we reserved we asked for a king size bed, but we had to twins bed, and they were not able to change room. There are no windows in the "economic" rooms, and this is a little bit annoying if you stay more than 2 days.

Location is very central to both Old City and "European" part of Istanbul. Metro is great to visit sites at both. Room was ok for 4 people and cheaper than two rooms. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was just ok.

Had to switch rooms, but 2nd room still had issue of a very leaky shower. They could not get their credit card reader working, so I had to pay cash.

Location. Comfortable bed. Bathroom. modern decor. friendly staff. So my must haves were all there.

Buffet breakfast that had been sitting out for ages hence cold eggs etc. Lack of attention to detail by staff. They were unaware that things were faulty in room unaware that there was no milk etc. They were decorating the receptio n and breakfast room while we were there. All these things wouĺd be easy to put right.

This small boutique hotel's location is perfect for travellers who would like to visit Istanbul's main sights. It's just 15 minutes walk from Aya Sophia, Sultanahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar and also from Taksim and the shooping street (Istiklal Caddesi) which connects it with Bosphorus. The Karaköy ferry station is just 5, Eminönü ferry station is 10 minutes walk from where you can take a ferry to Asian side such as Üsküdar, Kadıköy or an approx.1,5 hours long Bosphorus tour. The staff is very kind, welcoming and helpful. In general we had a really nice stay so I can highly recommend Peninsula Galata Hotel to everyone.

The wifi signs in the room was not strong enough therefore it was slow little bit. Breakfast was correct. Because there was a lot of olives, cheese, fruits, Turkish salads etc. which is part of a regularTurkish breakfast I would have expected some Turkish breads and pides.

Great location, friendly and respectful staff, clean and comfortable room with working air conditioning. Good Turkish breakfast.

Room view - was looking at another building's roof, but not a show stopper since we didn't spend too much time in the room.

Excellent location for all forms of transport and Galata Bridge, etc. Staff were helpful and informative. The electronic touch panel for showing your status in the room, I.e. do not disturb, clean the room and please wait. The lights were operational through motion sensors.

The walls are paper thin and I was woken several times in the night by noisy guests in adjacent rooms. The shower drainage system was awful and almost flooded the bathroom on several occasions. The toilet seat in room 403 was loose and was nearly falling off. The bathroom smelled like a sewer. The beds only had a blanket as a cover and not a top sheet.
