I would prefer to have one big bed instead of two single bed. A spare blanket might be a plus in winter as there is no central heating.
The place is just great! Apartament has all needed facilities for a home-like stay. The staff is very nice. The room is clean and new.
Everything.Wonderful staff, very clean.Fantastic location with views to die for.Lovely pool. Loved it so much we stayed for an extra two nights.Owner even gave us a lift to the dolmus station when we left. This was very much appreciated.
I didn't like room bedroom vas very small and it is not like the photo ı have seen in your hotel information.
We stayed one week at Portofino and have only good things to say about it. Helpful and welcoming staff, well kept apartment complex with pool. We stayed in the apartment building that is a bit up the hill, but we had a car and spent the days kitesurfing, so for us the location didn't matter that much. A bit of a hike to the beachside, or especially back as it is quite steep uphill.
Cheap but everything was very good quality. Firstly the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room have magnificient view of the sea. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The hotel is near to mountainside and about 50m above the city town. During the nights, the hotel has a relaxing and cool wind which is coming through mountainside. There are 2 air conditioners in the room and they are free of charge. There are a electric heater, saucepans, pans, and 4 sets of plate/glass/fork/knive/spoon (even pasta strainer!!!) in the kitchen. Near the hotel, there are 2 big supermarkets, big bakery and fish shop which are only 3-5-minute walk away. (Fish shops also sell cooked fish and serves to the hotel) Swimming pool and paddling pool are very clean and clear. Hi speed internet through WiFi and no connection/interruption problem. Muğla-Akyaka bus-stop is only 2-minutes away by walk. We stayed 10 days in Portofino. In our 3rd day I called my uncle and cousins to the hotel. They also stayed 4 days in another room and loved the hotel. There are tour boats in the port which cost about only 25TL including lunch!!!. (This price is also included the visit of 4-5 bays for swimming and Kleopatra (Sedir) Island) Hopefully next years we will stay in Portofino again and again...
Takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the sea.
Portofino Apartments is quite place and the rooms are well sized and you will have all the kitchen stuff to cook. market is 3-4 minutes by walk and bakery is 3 minutes by walk. swimming pool was not that big but no one was there so we have enjoyed alot. staff is very friendly and helpful I dont think you will experience any problem. We loved this place and we can recommend this place and definitely we will come back soon.
Very basic accommodation and facilites and worn out bed mattresses, had to ask on day 7 for clean towels/bedlinen. Original room on arrival sub standard tiny room in attic but after complaining were moved to a slightly better room 3rd day. Very noisy both for location and because of sub standard insulation between rooms and tiled floors, long way from beach. No 'transit room' to get showered and changed for late departure, had to use reception toilet to shower and change clothes in reception area, very unsatisfactory. Not a hotel so no onsite facilities other than small unheated pool.
Very clean and well maintained - everything worked, ie hotplate (very old however), aircon, shower, tv (Turkish channels only), free wifi, etc, nice friendly staff, reasonably priced, shower good, plenty of hot water, air conditioning in both bedroom and kitchen area although not needed during our stay as weather was cool.
Not the easiest to find as there are no street signs at start of road. it's a steep walk back from town that was not a problem as we were there for 3 days but longer it would have been am issue.
The view over the village to the sea were fantastic, we made use of the pool and staff were very friendly.
Only suitable for fit people who can walk 1.8km each way up and down steep hillside to get to the water and back. We booked a studio with kitchenette and balcony. We got a basic room with fridge, no kettle, no cooking facilities at all and no balcony. We asked for the room we had booked and were told they were all taken. The boss came and said he would get us a kettle and cooking stove which he did, plus a frying pan, 2 spoons and 2 forks and one knife. Oh, and a plastic patio table to set it on. No sink other than the bathroom wash hand basin. The bed had no bedside table and no light so it was necessary to either go to bed in the dark or get up to turn off the living room light. It was freezing in the room and no heating. It was not possible to sleep due to noise transmission through tbe walls. We could hear every word and tv, shower, etc, from neighbouring rooms.
View from the small pool area.
