I stayed at the old city branch and it was the best thing that I found in Istanbul
Nothing at all
should be 5 star +++
Comfortable, cosy hotel. Small rooms but clean and white. Nice location for thous who wants to go megashopping. Pretty view from restaurant on the 8 floor. Value for money. Next visit - same place.
A little bit noisy in rooms viewing to Koska street (windows not closed tightly)
Staff friendly and helpful, in particular Mr. Murat :)
Clean tidy and the staff was friendly, not to far from the main sites.
Had no restaurant even they said they did, it's more like a b&b as most of the facilities where not there.
Staff are kind and helpful Location is perfect, Room 603 have a window to Marmara Sea,Love it SO MUCH Breakfast in the roof is very nice,
Shower sinking not work good, but it not a problem
The hotel is near at the Grand Bazaar and Sultanahmet Square, it is quite easy to get to the Eminönü Pier.
The hotel is located amidst a variety of shops selling cheap Turkish clothing, both at wholesale and retail. The streets are always full of annoying merchants, offering their stuff. The city noise doesn't go down until late at night. Boxes of mechadise are being carried back and forth. The hotel residents are mostly russian merchants, who buy the goods to resale them back home.
Your hotel--with wonderful and warm staff, comfortable rooms, and the location out of this world has definitely contributed to my deep appreciation of this splendid country and culture--I'll be back!
Friendly reception staff not too far from main road would not walk around too far a night alone
Breakfast food Climb up stairwell to reach front reception with baggage Not really a tourist area better for business people wanting to deal with the clothing industry
staff was very very helpful which made our stay easier rooms are nice and clean breakfast very nice with a beatifull view
the reception hall is a bit dark. the location is a bit far from the areas for going out. we managed with taxis
When I made this booking, I selected that I will be paying by cash. When checking out, I brought the cash out to pay and they said they already charged the credit card??? I did not authorise them to use my cc, what they did is illegal in Australia. Breakfast is very average. Location isn't the best, far away from all the sites. Don't recommend this place at all!
Perfect location. Beautiful outlook from restaurant at 8th floor. Excellent WiFi
The bathroom can be cleaner. (But if you would like sterile cleanliness you wouldn't go to Instanbul :-)
We went to the hotel at about 12:30 to do the check in and we were told to wait 30 minutes and we did so. We went again after an hour (so to be safe) and the receptionist have told us that the're wasn't any available room at the moment, so we had to wait 2 hours. After the two hours we went back and they have told us that there is a problem with our room as the shower cubicle was broken, and they offered to fix it soon. Finally they gave us the room. It was room no 701. The bathroom: Shower tiles were like there was war. and the shower it self I had to clean it myself. Toilet seat not even sealed to proof it was cleaned like other hotels do. I had to clean the bathroom myself. For a 4 star hotel we pretend that we should have had a kettle and a some teabags or coffee in the room. The bed: Not enough sheets, on the first night we had to cover ourselves up with the bed throw over which was very hard material (not comfortable at all) The pillows were to flat. We also didn't like the fact that they give you only 1 key to the room. We were two persons so we had either to stick together at all times or had to leave the key at the reception.
proper customer service and communication.
lack of proper cleaning, not professional service.
- The best part was breakfast, so many options in an spectacular sea view - Staffs were friendly -Distance to historical parts is so close, within walking distance
- The worst thing is the lack of exhaust in the washroom. It is weird that why this hotel (maybe just my room) did not have the exhaust. So if you care about this, you may not want to choose this hotel. -The second problem, which you may find common in the Istanbul is that one should be careful about the prices! Right after booking, the manager offered me a pick up from airport for US$40 which I refused, but while I was there, they offered the same way back for only US$25! - Internet speed was slow and sometimes super slow
Good location. 10 min from Grand Bazar.
Bathroom not clean and bad smell. The toilet was dirty and i had to clean it. I recomand other hotels on the same street.
location staff cleanliness facilities
i like the view from restaurant and clean room
I dont like old beds in the room...its very difficult to sleep on them..and breakfest is very frugal...
I liked the bufett and the cleaness of the place
I did not like the TV channels there were many sex channels and also did not like the reception staff they were un proficinal
The breakfast, that include, is very very good The price in return (by booking.com) was very good
The room for one person is very small' but the main problem it is the small window that are not realy open and behind it have a close like pit and no fresh air. You must use the air condition all the time/
Will recommend this for Istanbul travellers if u wana get value for money. It is near all tourist destinations like grand bazar blue mosque and topokapi musium. Tram nd underground station are to walk.
Some people are very rude with tourists they misbehave with them specially shopkeepers. This thing really disappoint us
We got everything we needed from the hotel in this trip - great view, good location, clean rooms, comfortable beds and great price!
Maybe some international channels on TV, not only Turkish, would be great.
the orange juice at the breakfast
We were late to check out for 2 hours, the guy at the reception did not make an issue out of that.
The A/C in the first room was not working, but after changing the room it was OK.
