Not enough light in the room - the only light from two feeble bulbs above the beds + one night lamp that had to be moved around if one wanted to use a desk. |

we were welcomed by jovial staff and had the most fantastic room overlooking the blue mosque and asofya. the rooms was large the view fabulous and the bathroom great. could not have asked for more and we did not want to leave. the rooftop view at breakfast and the breakfast could not have been better. would highly recommend anyone - family , business or holiday to stay at the rast and we will definitely if we are ever lucky enough to get to istanbul again. thank you to all at the rast for a wonderful stay. free internet in the lobby also and so central to all istanbul has to offer in sultanamet and around, right on the tram also which we caught to the airport as we were leaving....all so simple with a late check out, michelle and pete |

Comfortable and good small hotel on a top location. Spacy room (but we had the room for 3 persons). The hotel is on walking distance from some of the top attractions in Istanbul (old city, Sultahnamet). Even the hotel is located in the middle of the centre, the room is very quite and isolated. Well done! Very friendly staff, making you feel welcome. The view on the blue mosk is awsome. |

We had a special suite on 5th floor with balcony and view of Istanbul that was fabulous. While the bed was hard and uncomfortable, the bathroom was new and modern, the room spacious, and the accommodations very comfortable. If you go, ask for room 502. No liquor license in restaurant, which has fabulous view. They need to get that in place, so can take advantage of lovely rooftop terrace. |

The location of the hotel is excellent for a sightseeing trip to Istanbul. It's only a 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia in one direction and about 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar in the other. The hotel has an unforgotten view from the rooftop restaurant which is used for breakfast. The stuff was very polite and helpful. The room was to small for two persons, but acceptable. It's only for sleeping after all. When the window was open the muezzin will wake up you very early ... ;-) |

The hotel could not be situated in a better location. My room was extremely comfortable, with a view of Cemberlitas tower. Bathroom was spotless with a lot of amenities. The staff were quite superb, what a friendly helpful bunch, they made my stay perfect with their recommendations and suggestions! The view from the rooftop out of this world. |

Early check-in to a wonderfully private room on the 4th floor....with balcony facing Hagia Sophia and Bosphorus Bridge to boot! Breakfast was more than adequate. A million dollor view from the roftop! Great front desk staff who were more than willing to recommend routes for walking and tours. All major sites are in walking distance. On the whole, an excellent stay in beautiful istanbul. |

Th location of the hotel is excellent for a sightseeing trip to Istanbul, being approximately 5 minutes walk to Sutanahmet Square (Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia) in one direction and about 10 minutes to the Grand Bazaar in the other. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was an unforgettable experience with amazing views and an excellent choice of well prepared and presented quality food. We arranged transfer from and back to the airport with the hotel and this ran very smoothly. |

The only thing I like in the Hotel Location and the Terace on the top of the building which has a great view. Only the suits in this hotel has the good view and good facility, by the end the hotel was just opend on June 2009 so they are new to the business. Compared to the area hotels, this one is fair to stay in as it is the nearest to the shopping area. Staff was not very helpful when I arrived and found out that they gave me a twin bedroom and not a double room. After I complained and had a great support from Booking support team they finally moved me to a double room.Bathrooms are too small and missing some items like bath robes. |

People responded to whatever we asked for. They were very helpful, smiling, kind. Breakfast changed in a % of 20% every day (I mention it because I had seen a comment before that they needed to vary a bit the breakfast- so they respond to all the comments).IDEAL Location. We didn't take a bus, tram etc for 3 days. Everything was around.Attention and good taste in every detail in the rooms, very impressive entrance hall. Great experience. Recommended 100%. |

The Rast Hotel is located almost ideally in the Sultanamet district, only a very short walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi, and a short walk to the Grand Bazaar and Sulimaniye Mosque. The tram which can take you almost anywhere in Istanbul stops about 100 yards from the hotel. From the breakfast room you overlook the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi, the Bosporhous, and Sea of Marmara. The rooms are comfortable and, by Sultanamet standards, large. The staff is efficient, curtious, and very helpful. Mr Tank Paksoy, the reservations manager, is a master problem solver. The breakfast is excellent. Really nothing to complain of. The only improvement would be a chest of drawers. All the hotels in the Sultanamet area have small rooms by international, business hotel standards so space is at a premium. But you get location, location, location at the Rast. You could get more space at the Kempinski or Swiss Hotel, but you would pay a lot more and be far away from everything you came to Istanbul to see. We would go back to the Rast in a minute. |

Nothing, except the unique Stambul view. Service, clients relations, accomodation and cleaning. The main problem - terrible smell in the bathroom. |

Charming hotel in the Old City district of Sultanahmet, very close to many of the city's famous sites and tram line. The view from the rooftop is spectaculer! The room was tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who does not want to stay in the impersonal large hotels. |

we found it convenient for the things we wanted to see and although it was in a fairly busy location we found the hotel reasonably quiet. the only complaint I have is a minor one and it is the location of the hairdryer. I feel that from a female point of view a hairdryer located near a dressing table is much more user friendly than the inefficient one provided in the bathroom. |

The location was perfect. Close to tram and easy connection from/to the airport by using metro & tram. Comfortable room with big window.Good roof top terrace with view. Staff was sometimes a kind of rude, especially reception. They did not help to carry the luggage. They did not smile. They could not offer free city map (Out of stock).Drinking alcohol at roof top terrace was not allowed. At least, staff should be retrained on better service. There is no storage room so I could not leave laptop in my luggage (Luggage was put in the lobby. ) |
