Love the shuttle services. Staff are very polite and kind. The bed is very comfortable and clean/

A bit far from city. The shuttle provide service to the city but no pick up service from the city. There was some unpleasant smell at level 9 during my stay but i hope this is only momentary.

Hospitality was excellent, food was great...! Overall experience was awesome!!! :)

It would be great if the city shuttle could run more often and run until 9PM.

Its one of the most amazing hotels we've ever staid in, stuff are so friendly, so clean, they even provide us free chocolate each time they clean the rooms, its very recommended to everyone ..

Location is near to the airport but far away from historic places, but they provide free bus services so not a big deal ..

I did not see much really. I just used it for one night next to the airport to be able to take the flight the next morning

Everything is very good! Staff, room, breakfast!!! Also the spa and the swimming pool are nice!

it was excelent and staff was very respectful and friendly.they're trying to create different new things about your question every everytime especially reception mr niyen and other staff interest your think&idea tirelessly.I believe that anyperson never leave without feeling good.thank you so much retaj!

There is no theme music in lobby so silence.maybe should be international music can be better just my opinion.

It's new hotel and very comfortable, close to airport and there is free shuttle to airport and even to city centre.

I am also Muslim, but there are many very religious Muslims. It should be international hotel with certain rules and standards.

new facility, luxury new hotel (although not real 5*, but 4* or 4*S), quite short distance from airport. very interesting price (so far).

very bad organization, mostly due to hotel youth (1 month), some noise form taking off planes.

A new facility which has a lot of teething problems but Alper and his excellent team of staff will leave no stone turned in fixing it for you - Got upgraded to a Deluxe Suite, efficient airport transfer and eager staff. Training of staff is a major issues however they make it up through their can-do and eager attitude. Location is "iffy' if you are there for site seeing but with 3 daily shuttles, that is not much of an issue either. Breakfast can improve and so can the executive lounge - No executive lounges I have ever visited during my 100+ stays in 5 star hotels globally will stay closed during the day at certain timings. This one does close (as in doors locked). No alcohol (muslim hotel) so might disappoint a few looking at sipping some wine or skulling a beer whilst watching over the views of lovely Istanbul from Executive lounge but they are obviously catering to a significant niche market which does not drink. Overall, I am giving this place a 10 out of 10 for the 'attitude of its service staff'.

Staff needs to be trained ! Below par in being a true 5 star hotel however will improve with more customer feedback. &Quot;Alper" is the guy to resolve any issues for you, no matter how big or small !!

Far from the heart of the city

When you are come to reception,you're really feel like a star.it was impressive and so beautiful.Because that all peoples are looking in your eyes with big smile!!!.then you don't want to leave in Retaj Royal..in addition you don't want to come back home.either room or comfort was pretty cool!! I would like to thank you that all reception team ( mr.alper,metin,noyan) thank you all!! Definetly I'll stay as soon as.

Very good hotel, just open, still have a new scent :-). Very nice and helpfull staff, aim to please. . Great breakfast, great king size bed. A bit far from the center, but the hotel have shuttle service.

Two of the elivator stopped working for a day, long time wait for an elivator. The hotel forgot to notice us reagarding clock change for daylight saving time and we missed the shuttle that goes to the city...

one of the best hotels of Istanbul, nice behavior of staff, welcome drinks, accomodating check in staff, comfortable room, excellent and free shuttle service for airport taksim shopping mall, sultanahmet, and CNR EXPO. A great and memorable experience with Retaj.

The heating system was not working for three days. there were no bath top in bath room the second day. there were no shampoo the third day. Staff were not trained properly. A little better training will solve the problems.

not serving alcohol

Room was big enough because we have stayed in junior suite; hotel is new with all required facilities except a good bar. Breakfast was also good with enough variety and helpful staff.

Unfortunately many things went wrong for us during our stay. First of all nothing was organized in the room, one day we had something and day after we should ask for it, from complimentary water to toilet paper. Location is very far from everything you might want to see or use, especially when you have one restaurant in the hotel and without bar or anything like that. We faced malfunction in room safe, tv (which automatically start working at 4:00 am and it was not possible to shut it off), room heater, wardrobe hangers,… which never fixed during our stay. But all the above-mentioned was possible to handle, except the catastrophic noise level in the room. Windows were double glazed but looks like that you were sleeping in the middle of street at end of airport runway. We were able to count all the departures of airport and listen to music of the cars passing by in the same time. Finally we start to sleep with ear plugs.

It was newly opened, so the staff was very friendly and attentive. The Interiors are beautiful as well.

The location is too far from the tourist destinations, and as the taxi costs alot, the value for money factor is lost.

The hotelis close to airport.It is clean and looks new.Beds are very comfortable.I Dont know about the brakefast as I left very early in the morning.

One guy in the reception was arguing about the use of two cars (the hotel taxi) to send my luggage, while one car was enogh. Also they have an idea that you came here to waste your money and expecting you to give tips back and forth,which is not accepted

Not feasible to stay unless you rent a car or take a taxi to every destination you want to go. Public transportation is very insufficient around the hotel.
