If you are looking for interpretation of the word miserable .. You find here in this hotel ... Nasty deal ... So you are related to the queries 100 times to occupy your air conditioner cooling ... There in the Night Manager does not accept that bothered the customers on the Net ..... chat face in the morning the hotel manager does not bode well never ... Only laughs for new customers only .... to convince the girl in the queries are very polite and worthy of respect

It was probably one of the cheapest hotels that is reasonably 'stayable'. And that's probably the only good side of the hotel. The staff is almost terrible. The guy working at night didn't even bother to carry my luggage to the second floor. The room was very small, other than the entrance, you wouldn't fit anything there except the large bed. It was reasonably clean but the towels had turned grey by being washed hundreds of times. Why can't they go and buy new towels, I seriously cannot understand, towels are the cheapest things.

The place is great - just some 100m from the beach, inside the tiny streets of the old city (Kaleici), few metres from shops and restaurants, but calm in night. There´s no see view, but our palms´ and trees´ view give me lot of pleasure, too. The chambermaids were really very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good when considering the price of the stay. Overall value for money is perfect. I travelled with my colleague for a congress of cancer care and we were both continually shocked by the behaviour of two man-receptionist: Before our arival we were wondering why there´s no response to our mail about our arrival time etc. But that was just the beginning... First day when we arrived we had to pay for the stay immediatelly, but didn´t get any bill, even when we said we need it for our cheef. The price was 174 in cash, when we asked for the price when paid by card, the receptionist put down 184E with counting or anything... When we asked for the bill the second day, the receptionist was making strange jokes, that he didn´t know about any payment we´d done... So no bill so far. I must add, that it´s claimed, that the hotel provides services in 3 languages, but it must be 3 different dialects of turkish - with us the receptionist faced like they didn´t know any english at all. We were asking for transportation and information office, but they didn´t seem to be interested in speaking with us and totally not helpful at all. Second day we also went to buy some water to take on the rooms (we were not sure about the quality of the local water) and the receptions told us that we are forbidden to bring it on the room!!!! :( :( :( This time we faced like we didn´t understand... The same was the reaction, when we asked if we can buy a kettle of tea on the room (the weather turned bad, it was cold on the rooms) - he told us we can drink it only outside of the hotel (=in the rain and cold weather). So, we rather stopped all our desperate attempts to communicate, just the last day we had to come back to the topic of the bill again. In the morning the receptionist told us there´s no problem to get it in the evening, but in the evening they again insisted there´s no such thing as a bill... Their behaviour was really too offensive, arrogant and haughty (macho?) and we were disgusted by the way they are treating their clients.

The hotel is situated in the old town. Very atractive to walk around in the neighbourhood. The breakfast is limited. There was also an anouncement for lunch and diner but we did not see anyone having it.

Germanic cleanliness, Germanic maintenance, Germanic organization. Many Germans staying here (don't expect a smile or "Güte morgen" from the other guests at breakfast). Everything correct and in good working order, which is excellent for Kaleici.

The location is superbe, no more than 30 m away from the beautiful sea and 10 mins walk from the Marina. The ancient fortress walls govern the hotel from behind. Aside the feeling of belonging to an amazing age, the hotel is very practical. Rooms are big, spacious and views are incredible. Excellent choice for a young couple!
