The hotel really should not promote free wi-fi as, although technically correct, the 'free' connection is utterly useless and is worse than an old fashioned 56k modem. Luckily there is a premium connection which I clocked in at 4.5 Mb/s however it costs about $15 per day. Worth it, in my opinion, but really the hotel should not state it has free wi-fi when it takes for ever and a day to load a single web-page.
I had a really great time at this hotel and will definitely return. However, my one criticism (other than the wi-fi) is that the service in general was not up to standard of a 5-star hotel. To be clear, all the staff where very polite and courteous, however they were just not attentive enough. I reckon that the hotel must have lost about 500 Lira which I would have gladly have spent if the staff had been more attentive and bothered to come and enquire if I needed anything like a drink or desert etc. And I don't believe it was a language thing as I could see some of the Turkish guest also getting annoyed at the level of service.
To be fair, once-in-a-while a manager would appear in the bars and restaurants and by the pool and service would pick up. The hotel can definitely improve on this area. At a five star hotel one expects to be waited on by staff not to have to keep on getting up to get their attention. Sometimes, even when at the bar they were far too slow to come and attend. They were all very friendly and polite and did want to help - so maybe they just need much more training.
One final point, the hotel really should invest in hiring a few staff members in each department who have good foreign language skills. I am English, so naturally speak English, however many of the other non-Turkish guests tried to use English to communicate. I may be biased, but in a five-star hotel there should be some staff who speak conversationally fluent English and they should be identifiable with a flag on their name tag.
Lovely building with excellent pool and lots of little places tucked away in the sun but out of sight where one can just relax on comfortable sofas and read.
The Spa is wonderful. Really good quality and the masseurs are very talented.
The rooms with sea view look out over the Med.
