Wonderful place to stay in the village of Selcuk. This family business provides a comfortable place to stay. The staff was very accommodating and kind. I would stay here again.
The area is very historical. The hotel is family run. Very nice people. Because Selcuk is small the hotel is in the middle of a regular neighborhood. Not a tourist area per se. We liked it but some could be off put.
Wifi was iffy at best.
Very homely atmosphere with a great view of the fortress
Although located within 100m away for the main restaurant area..the neighbourhood isn't that great. I was advised by my tour agent to have early dinner as the location is in a rough neighourhood. But other than that, great ambiance.
The owner and staff were kind and friendly. It was nice boutique hotel. Appreciated personnel effort to make visitors feel happy
There was renovation on upper level when We were there which means a bit noise and also we could not get a room on upstairs eventhough I asked before visitation. We were expected at least an information prior to accomodation so we could have change the booking date. Rooms were small for family with children. Hotel was mostly suitable for young couple without children or backpackers
The holtel is very nice. It has a good lokation. the staff is very helpfull and friedly. The breakfast is very good.
nice breakfast,helpful information
facilities is not good. Where we stayed, the sprinkler can not hold on the wall, and this problem can not be solved until we leave.
Hotel is at the good place which is near the bus station. Breakfast is soooo yammy! A nice pool!
The room, amenities and the comfort level were awesome especially after trooping through smaller towns like Sirince and Pammukale. But, if you're making Selcuk town as a base for day trips out to Sirince and Pammukale, I'd say the location of the hotel is a little bit far off. It is a walkable distance to town center and the bus station, but with luggages and bad weather (rain), you'll need to go with a taxi and it's a 10TL flat rate. Not much dinner options around the hotel unless you want to walk back into town center (not on a rainy day), food at the hotel is frankly pretty bad. One of the two worse meals we had in our 11 days in Turkey. So, barring location and food, the room itself is very lovely to my surprise as the website's pictures came off as tacky.
Amazing staff and breakfast! Arranged to get us at the train station. Very nice albeit small rooms. Breakfast spread was unbelievable, especially after seeing usual Turkish breakfasts. Fresh baked pastries and omlettes.
very nice staf they attend and support us very well and we felt very good
Very comfortable. We stayed in winter and the room was warm and dry. It's a lovely reincarnation of an old jail and very unique.
The kitchen staff needed to pay more attention to details. There was rotten fruit in the breakfast buffet and the coffee was cold! The neighborhood was very run down, but seemed safe enough.
Clean and tidy, great hotel management who also picked us up free of charge from the local Info Centre. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and also in a quiet area. The breakfast is also very generous and great variation of cereal's fruit, cooked eggs etc. We would stay again if back in Selcuk
upon my experience of stay, probably the best in Goreme
This little hotel was decorated well inside and was a sharp contrast to the neighborhood in which it is....very undesirable. They dont show you that in their website.
The location was horrible. On a small lane with part residential and poor section of town. There were stray animals all around. The back view from my room was pitiable with broken homes in dilapidated condition. It was not nice. Also they billed me extra for tea that I didnt take. Had to tell them. I dont think that they are very ethical.
The hotel is really nice considering its price. It's very well located for exploring the city and close to the train station. Breakfast is abundant. Staff is very kind and willing to assist.
The room was really cold. The hotel does not have a proper heater, but an air condition machine that does not heat up the room efficiently. Water was also cold at night. We left the hotel very early in the morning and had to take a cold shower. Internet did not work well in the room.
We chose this hotel because the good rating on booking.com but we were deeply disappointed with the location of the hotel. It is situated deep into what looks to me like a ghetto of Selcuk. The walk from the main road (Ataturk Avenue) to the hotel is horrific. If you decide to go on the ally leading directly to the hotel, you'll find groups of young men standing on the street hanging out. They would stare at you and some would yell something to try to make fun of you. During night time, it's dark and the atmosphere just gave me the creeps and is quite scary. If you choose to walk on the main road, and cuts left into that same ally, you'll have to pass so many tea shops with scary looking middle-age men who will stare at you. Definitely, not recommended for a lone traveller. The hotel is family run, though the owner who's the father is very friendly, but it's very unorganized. Maybe those who like a home-stay feel would enjoy it, but not for us.
1.Every staff were very freindly. 2.The room was nice designed and very clean. 3.There were some supermarkets close to the hotel.
1.There wasn't enough light in the bathroom. 2.There wasn't electric hot-water pot. 3.The atmosphere around the hotel was not good. I don't really think this hotel is a reasonable price.
Turkey bath charge 50€, which is charged 50TL outside.
Very helpful staff and would accommodate for vegetarian requests.
The fact that the hotel used to be a prison spooked us a little bit when we found out after checking in.
breakfast is ok
it's just a room with bed, nothing else
Breakfast was good, the staff is very nice, the hotel is very simple but enough. I would not recommend staying more than one night, it is just to pass by to be able to go to Ephesus.
I did not like the location and the smell of the sheets and bed, it could be a little cleaner, many things are rusty. Dinner was bad.
Small, friendly, comfortable & good value for money
Located in a somewhat impoverished area with on street parking
the ambience was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us
coffee - the American style drip coffee needs to be banished from the earth
Family owned hotel managed well by the owner. Pick up from Izmir airport was excellent. Excellent location, very close to St. Johns church and castle.
Extremely helpful staff, great food, beautiful hotel. Will be back next year!
