We booked for "junior suite with balcony" but they sold out the room before we arrive (they take the money for the room from my credit card in the morning thoug). They gave us another room without balcony and it was not a junior suite not even a suite, not even a room . Room was dirty, there were no cups or glass to drink smth, couch was looking to a wall (ıt was 50cm close to wall, ıf u want to sit on a couch u need to look through the wall). Water was not even warm and flowing very insufficent, bath was very small, tv was in bad order. Don't stay in there, pay a little more stay in real hotel
the old building..and the hotel very samll
Very friendly and helpful staff, a great breakfast to start the day, and Ottoman decor that gives this boutique hotel its unique style. I loved walking over the wooden bridge that takes you from the front of the hotel to the back. (The hotel is made up of two rows of houses joined together. Location (near Taksim area) is excellent, and free wifi worked very well.
The decor The location Lift to all floors The young boy waiter/worker very helpful. Heating in rooms.
Too much dairy for hreakfast. Wifi worked in reception not in my room. Atmosphere was cold. Room cleaning was very odd & room was not dusted floor not swept for whole 7 days. Shower head leaked. Poor sound insulation between rooms.
Staff cleanliness soft foam bed close to Taksim square no noises or disturbances pleasant helpful staff esp Ilham Shaheen Fatih Ayub Murad etc.
Breakfast. Hardly any items to choose from. Nothing else.
Magnanimous is the word for Santa Hill Hotel... Very friendly staff, tasty breakfast.. Faith, Sharif, Ilham, All Butlers were good and cooperative.. I will highly recommend Santa Hill for comfort and great hospitality..
Breakfast is very poor not a nice smill in the room. Shower is bad
1. Spacious room 2. All amenities closeby 3. Wifi was excellent 4. All hotel personnel very friendly and helpful esp. Mr. Ilham Mr. Fatih and Mr. Shaheen 5. Was given a private taxi to the Ataturk airport on my return compliments of the hotel. 6. As I am a night person, I didn't find any disturbances in the daytime and slept peacefully 7. Was feeling sad when I left as Ilhaam Shaheen Fatih Luqman Murad and Ayoub had become good friends and were extremely helpful in making my stay comfortable. 8. Realised that the Staff were making a great effort at speaking and learning English.
1. Location 2. Room size 3. Wifi 4. Cleanliness 5. Sound proofing 6. Close to Taksim 7. Airport shuttle 8. Lovely girl joined just one day before I left who was extremely helpful and who spoke excellent English
Language issues. Except for the manager none of the staff could speak any other language other than Turkish. So even simple things like asking directions or giving instructions were cumbersome. I think such a flourishing Hotel Industry should have staff speaking English or Arabic or French. Simple communication with the staff was very difficult
The cleanliness of the bathroom and comfortableness of the memory foam bed!
Good breakfast. Kind staffs and their smile. Clean room.
Was bad drainage of the flow of the bathroom. Water had accumulated in the time of the shower.
Comfortable room, good staff, central heating, proximity to Istiklal Street, room decoration, noise isolation are all well handled.
- Satellite TV does not have turkish mainstream secular channels such as CNN Turk, Halk TV, etc... - Outside makes fell unsecure late night - Bath Towels are old and have stains. Must be renewed.
No one smile There's problem with smiling
The location is very convenient for those who decided to stay close to Istiklal street. Breakfasts are good (eggs, omelet, cheese, fruits and vegetables, cookies etc.) Personnel is very kind and helpful.
The main disappointment is the shower and towels. I kindly ask the hotel management to change the towels because in stead of being white they are close to dark grey color. The quality of shower cabin/bath is also far a way from normal condition. Our windows were looking to the road in front of the hotel that is why it might be very nosy.
Clean rooms Elevator Close to Taksim square
Small variety breakfast Surroundings
I like the crew
Idont like the atmosphere and lighting
Nothing!the worse hotel I have ever stay!
Everything!noise-no breakfast-no clean-no space-no view-dangerous spot in the middle of tarlabasi street
staff very pleasant and helpful location good room fine
getting to our room very dangerous multi stairs only had hand rail on one side and this was very loose very dark almost black. a lot of chipped crockery. often no juice at breakfast.
The chap who did the taxi transfer to the airport was very amiable. The hotel was well located for Taksim and Galata.
The man on reception was very rude and aggressive. We were discussing transfer times to the airport and he got very angry that we didn't immediately take on his advice - which incidentally turned out to be completely wrong. Breakfast was appalling and there wasn't a proper shower in the room. Rooms were dark and it was hard to sleep with the traffic noise. My friend was put in an awful room as I think they'd got our booking wrong.
Staff at the hotel were very nice, location is very good
room very small breakfast was so so no much variety
comfort, breakfast, staff was very helpful, near to every thing. management was good.
they put my baggage out of my room the morning of departure day without my permission and they did'nt allow me to return to my room although was before 12.00. Some rooms have no views and are dirty and noisy.
Room with a balcony and calm location Mattress was comfortable
Staff needs more training and is not professional Breakfast was poor and not varied with a bad service
We were traveling as a group of friends. One evening a Turkish friend of ours came to pick us up for dinner. We were tired from sightseeing and wanted to take showers and chill on the balcony before leaving. The staff would not let our friend up to our room. Citing something about safety and worries about prostitution. When we supplied them with a copy of his driver's license and explained we'll just be an hour, they then asked for 10 euros. I was outraged. We had rented two rooms for 4 nights. The receptionist got loud and nasty.
