Hotel staff not friendly, but correct attitude and good english. The worst hotel we ever stayed in. Very expensive for what they offered. We payed 250 Euro for the first night when we received a room in the Premier Sarnic Hotel and have been moved the other day in a less comfortable room, downfloor, with a huge ventilation system which covered half of the window, even if when making the reservation we had not been announced the hotel has more different categories for the rooms, we just booked a double room. The second night of accommodation we had no water, very bad after a busy day in Istanbul, extremely uncomfortable not to have a shower when coming home! The menu breakfast was the same every day, with poor options, bad tasted coffee and if you wanted to have an one egg omllette instead of the boiled served eggs you had to pay. Never stay again and never recommended to any friends or tourism agencies.

Staff was quite helpful in setting up tours, giving directions and making recommendations for shopping and food. (Warning: some tours will make an unadvertised stop at a retailer (leather store, for example) to try to get you to buy something.) Room was showing some slight wear and tear but was cozy and very clean. Location of hotel was central to all the most important sights of Istanbul. I would say my first three nights in the hotel were outstanding. Paper thin walls in my room were made worse by an adjoining door to the next room. This meant that on my final night in the hotel I had to listen to the couple next door have sex repeatedly. Even though I complained to the front desk, the couple was undeterred and they kept me up until well after midnight. This made my fourth night in the hotel a misery and wrecked any positive review I might give to it.

Nothing except staff hotel who was very kind Very poor breakfast (with extra cost of 5 trl to have a milk and coffee or an orange juice!!!) very small and uncofortable rooms. The roof restaurant shown on website pictures does not exist or isn't open as breakfast and other meals were served inside the hotel.

We only liked the location. The hotel was not updated as they claimed. It is a very tired, outdated hotel. We didn't get the triple room we requested and paid for. There were two singles and a portable bed that was absolutely horrible. The hotel comped us our transportation to the airport for our displeasure which was a very nice gesture, however, one adult suffered every night sleeping on that bed. It was not as advertised on their website and it soured our view tremendously.

The bed was comfortable and unlike other hotels, they did have double beds. Breakfast was more than a traditional Turkish breakfast, so it was quite filling and sustained you for the morning. The first floor rooms get noisy since people pass your room on the way to the other Sarnic Hotel and to the restaurant. The television connection was not corrected properly, causing cable outages. Not a big deal, but the noise was needed to drown out the people walking by.

The location was very convenient to many of the major historic sights. The staff spoke excellent English and helped with all of our questions. The breakfast buffet was included and had an extensive choice of items. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom well appointed, big towels, conditioner, etc. Airport transport was prompt and reliable. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. The stairwell was not well lit and somewhat steep and difficult to climb and descend. Although the breakfast buffet was extensive, the "hot foods" - eggs, potatoes were not kept warm in chaffing dishes and were always cold. Cnn and bbc only English channels, little entertainment channels for late night movies, for example. We booked two rooms for four nights, but airport transport was not free because we used Bookings.com and not the hotel's online reservation system.

The hotel has excellent, personable staff. From check in I was greeted warmly and asked if I would like a cup of tea. As it was raining and it took an hour and a half to arrive from he airport, including walking the last bit, it was a friendly and most welcome gesture. Their ability to communicate in English was very helpful. Cleaning staff was also very polite. I would have just liked more info on hotel airport pickup, but that was really the only thing I would recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room with windows facing the garden, hence quiet as well. Clean bathroom. They have a "hotel Sarnic" and a "Hotel Sarnic Premier". The entrance is the same to both. The rooms you get at discount prices (advertised on websites) are in the regular hotel. These are good rooms though. The premier rooms seem to have balconies and are on higher floors. The booking site did not make distinguish between the two. Breakfast was the a good spread, but the same every single day of my 8 days stay- boring!

The location of the Hotel is amazing. Near to many things by walking. Many cafes and restaurants are also around the location and there is the Arasta Bazaar very close. Owners and staffs are lovely. Everyone is very hosting and ready to help at any moment. Breakfast buffet is very rich, although I don't like to eat breakfast but that buffet made me taste something each time. It is a good recommendation for everyone.

We were in Istanbul on business and stayed here for 3 nights because my meeting was close by. Also was extremely pleased with SarnicHotel' Location is the best with spectacular views from the rooftop terrace over the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. Friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast with personalized service and clean rooms. The staff members were very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of our questions. In front desk had maps of the area available and very able to direct us easily when asked. The market was nearby, as well as tram station and many fish restaurants. There was free internet connection, television set was very fast a real gem of hotel which I would throughly recommend.

Friendly staff and excellent location Hotel rates are quoted in euro; however, when paying with credit card, payment is in Turkish Lira which resulted in an approximately 2.50% higher charge in euro on my credit card bill, due to fluctuating exchage rates. It would be better quoted in local currency, with an approximate euro conversion.

Die Lage war optimal. Wenn man Istanbul besuchen möchte, sollte man in Old Sultanahmet bleiben.
