In the Old City, Meridiani Hotel is a quarter mile from the Blue Mosque.
Score from 256 reviews Good
Only 320 yards from the Blue Mosque, Hotel Coliseum is an 8-minute walk from Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. There is a 24-hour front desk and free Wi-Fi is accessible in all areas.
Score from 338 reviews Excellent
This hotel is located 325 ft from Istanbul's Taksim Square. It includes rooms with free Wi-Fi and has a restaurant that serves international cuisine. The Bosphorus Strait is less than half a mile...
Score from 1005 reviews Good
Located in Sultanahmet district, Miran Hotel is just 150 metres from Cemberlitas Tram Stop and 250 metres from the historical Cemberlitas hammam.
Score from 219 reviews Wonderful
Good value for money. Good ubication. Just 8min walking from the Gran Bazar and tram station and 20-25minutes of pleasant walk to the Santa Sofia mosque. Nice views from the terrace while taking a tasty Turkish breakfast. Local and authentic atmosphere in the area, with many small trade and restaurants with good prices. If you like to feel the real life of local people, that's the good place. But without doubt, the best of the hotel was the treatment of the staff. Both the guys on reception as the owner, were very pleasant with us, helping us in everything we needed. Alpay knows very well the city and can give you some interesting tips about where to go, what to visit. A friendly and charismatic guy, do not hesitate to speak whit him :)
The bathroom door did not close properly. For the rest, everything PERFECT!
Its a very nice hotel , everywhere is clean , bed is comfortable , bathroom is pretty big and clean , our room had a great sea view and there is and old church next to it which makes the view better .. Hotel stuff is very friendly , they made us feel comfortable Thanks very much to receptionist who made me a mint &lemon tea at 3:00 AM because i was sick :( Breakfast is in terrace which has a great sea view , there are many delicious options for breakfast Its very very close to kumkapi and sultanahmet by walking And people staying in there are neat people.. The price is perfect for this hotel
I liked everything
Terrace view was real nice. You can see a church and a mosque and the sea at the same look.
It's a bit far. Especially in winter.
Everything OK Location OK
-Staff are extremely friendly and forthcoming with assistance. Yavuz helped us out a lot and made sure our stay in Istanbul was very pleasant. -Very close to all the major attractions of the old city district (Sultanahmet) of Istanbul, such as Hagia Sophia, Grand Baazar, Blue Mosque, Topkia Palace. -Huge range of cheap and very tasty eating options just outside the hotel. -Comfortable facilities, including good WiFi connection and buffet breakfast.
-The hotel is near a steep street, so if walking with luggage to and from the hotel, it can be a bit tiring. Better to arrive and leave by taxi.
The staffs are nice, but actually not very helpful.
The room is not sound-proofed. The worst thing was, we found cockroach every day in the bathroom! We told the receptionist, but she didn't respond anything.
I liked everything Big hi and good salary for General Manager Yavuz :-)
Nice and competent reception personnel. Good price/quality relationship. Very good (Turkish) breakfast. Friendly area. Nice view from (all?) the rooms and especially from the breakfast terrace.
For elderly people the steep 5-10min ascent to the main road and tram stop may be a problem. If you are not used to it, you might be woken up by the imam calling for prayer.
The manager was really helpful with everything. The hotel location is great, just in the old city, very convenient to walk to tourist spots.
Breakfast a bit cold.
We visited Istanbul in December of 2014 and it was our first time in Turkey. First when we arrived, it took as some time to reach the hotel, because it was quite late and we didn't know the city at all, but once arrived we were welcomed with a cup of Turkish tea and several useful quick tips, which helped us a lot during our holidays. Excellent position close the Old Istanbul (Sultanahmet) and to the Grand Bazar. Beautiful sea view from the breakfast terras. The staff is extremely friendly and available for any help you may need.
Sound isolation was not very good.
Good location, near Agia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Top Kapi and the two Bazaars. Very friendly personnel and nice breakfast. The price was quite good for the junior suite. The neighborhood was traditional but a little bit scary.
The location was also near factories (shoe i think) and we couldn't relax or sleep until 23:00. Every day at 6:30 the prays from the mosque waked us up. The breakfast was nice but cold and every day we returned to the hotel the coffee cups were missing (the receptionist however brought them in the room immediately).
Very helpful staff, enjoyable breakfast at the terrance with great view!
Very small room, uncomfortable bed, low connection of wi-fi, noisy neighbourhood
The staff at the reception was truly fantastic! Bathroom very clean and looked new. Location is good.
The breakfast while beautifully located at the upper floor with great views is utterly disappointing. I would definitely stay there again, but have my breakfast in a nearby cafe. The walls are really thin, so if you are unlucky to have noisy people on your floor, you may not enjoy it.
staff and location overall
Good location, near to public transportation, sight seeing, very near to Kumkapi the place with the fish tavernas and the small music bands playing traditional music from table to table if the customers invite them to play. This was very enjoyable ,and something we never saw before. The hotel staff especially Mr.Yavouz was really helpful and very very polite. The cleaners cleaned the room every day and changed the towels every day as well. Thanks for the good service. Our room was on the 4th floor with a beautiful view to the sea and an old christian church ,Ag.Kiriaki.The breakfast covered all the tastes, eastern and western.Even if the hotel is situated in a very busy street(during the day),during the night it was very quiet.I would definately come back to Sayeban Hotel.
There is nothing we did not like.
Great staff; they were very friendly and helpfull. Made reservations for us at a EXCELLENT restaurant ("stone house") Breakfast was good, hotel was in a good area but most of all the staff was SUPER!!!!
Wifi didn't always work and the rooms where a bit small.
We had amazing time at this hotel. Everybody was friendly, especially Yavuz (General Manager) who was so helpful, he went out of his way to make our time wonderful. The hotel has a great location in the old town, close to many attractions and also with good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Our room was nice, clean and well equipped. We had varied breakfast on the top floor which has a beautiful sea view. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
the staff was Excellent especially Mr Yavus And Mr AbdAllah the Syrian guy, the view was excellent
there was smell at the fourth floor i hope they have fix it
Best location, very nice and helpful staff, excellent breakfast with views,
short bed noisy street (but noisy everywhere in Istanbul:-)
The location of the hotel in the old town is pretty nice. Staff were very helpful and nice especially Yavuz and Abdel-Wahab. View from the terrace is very beautiful.
- Quality of food wasn't excellent. - It is a little bit noisy out there especially during the day. - Room service changed our bed sheet once in 4 nights, they only make our bed while keeping the same bed sheet. - Hotel is down a steep ramp, it is somewhat tiring to get up there especially if you have luggage. Hotel should offer some service to deliver your luggage up there or something. - It was a bit hard to find the hotel, so we got lost for almost half an hour until we found it for the first time.
Every receptionist are very nice! friendly and kindly provide information to tourist.
1. The guys at the reception are enthusiasm, they always said hello to me when I got in and out the hotel. 2. I like the breakfast in the beautiful dining room very much. The lady working there is a nice person. 3. The hotel is near the Beyazit tram station. Blue Mosque is also within the walking distance. There are a lot of shops and restaurants near the hotel.
1. The windowsills are covered with dust. There is also a lot of dust under the bed and the cabinet. One day when I came back in the night, two cockroaches on the floor of the toilet scared me a lot. 2. The prayer from outside woke me up at 6 o'clock every morning even when I closed the windows. 3. As there is no socket above the table and the bed stands, it's not convenient to charge the digital equipment. 4. The room floor is uneven.
The room looked exactly as in the pictures, with great sunrises from the window. Also great terrace, where we could relax by a great Turkish coffee. Neat and pleasant.
