Cleaniness , helpful staff , good breakfast with a good terrace view
I went to Istanbul to meet friends. I was there a day by myself and I can't say enough great things about Yavouz, the manager. His hospitality was wonderful and he helped me navigate the city on my own. When my friends arrived he was just as welcoming to them. Overall wonderful experience. Only downside is that it was really hard for the cab to find so go prepared with the address and phone number!
everything really: the staff were very helpful and friendly; breakfast was excellent; the room was nice and clean, and we could see the sea from the window. Would definitely choose there to stay again if we are visiting istanbul
wifi was sometimes not connected, but generally very good.
Great location, wonderful staff, nice view, great breakfast, great value for money.
Nothing not to like :)
The hotel staff are friendly and professional, and Alpay especially was very helpful! They serve a great breakfast as well. The location is central for easy access to all the tourist areas, but also offers a glimpse of real Istanbul. We had a great stay.
I cannot thank the staff enough - they were exceptional. We booked all of our tours through the hotel and that was so much easier - and cheaper - than doing it anywhere else. The view from the terrace is beautiful and the rooms are clean and well lit. I would love to stay here again.
Great location, fantastic staff, we had a lovely sea view the breakfast was really good, great value for money all round.
The room was small with no space to hang clothes and the aircon was not very efficient, but otherwise it was brilliant!
Very beautiful place to stay in Istanbul, not so far from the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia... Staff very friendly, they help us with many usefull suggests. Big room cleaned each day, good bathroom. Breakfast on a terrace with a beautiful view of the Sea. Structure close to many good fish restaurant.
Quick service , employee very friendly , handling problems professionally and quickly when appearing.
Nice view from the room. Good room standard. Overall good location, although not the best neighbourhood. Very nice staff - with very good suggestions (e.g. restaurants).
Bad WiFi connection. Quite difficult to access (both walking as the street is steep and with taxis, which don't usually know the place).
Seaview (though i think available only from 5th floor rooms and breakfast terrace on the roof). Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to T1 tram and important sights and places. Really close to Grandbazaar and many shopping streets.
There is a steep 150-200 meter uphill walk to get on the tram. The downway isn't much easier either. The hotel is quite hard to find, it is situated among many old buildings many of which are used as workshops for making shoes/clothes/etc. (though with little noise).
Very friendly and helpful staff.. Room and bathroom standard but very clean. Good value for money.
The area was a bit dodgy. I requested during booking a smoking room and was never informed that it was non smoking rooms!
All funitures and facilities are new and rooms are very comfortable. The staff is very nice and sincere to provide all guests with good service. They gave advices on where to go and what to eat. We stayed there for 5 nights. On the third day, they changed a bigger room with sea view for us. Unfortunately, the air conditioner didn't work properly. It stopped every 20 mins. On the following day, we changed to another room. To make up for the air con problem, the hotel also offered us free transfer to the airport. Really a surprise!
The hotel is about 20 mins walk to the main tourist spots and many local restaurants are in the vicinity. However, the hotel is located in a steep way. It takes about 10 mins (for us) walk upward to go the tram station. Old people and family with young children should note and consider.
Friendly staff Excellent breakfast with great views on terrace Close to tram stop and to Gran Bazaar
Climb up and down the street. We had to stay in another hotel for the first night - the last thing we wanted late at night - but we were given a good room.
Very convenient location near the Grand Bazar and the monuments of Sultanahmet; very kind and welcoming personnel. Great view from the rooms and the terrace.
Well actually I usually travel frequently based on my Job requirements and as the company pays I stay in 4-5 Stars hotels. But I never felt comfortable like the 8 days I stayed @ Sayeban. The view from the room and from the top roof is simply incredible. Its location like 3 mins walking from the Tram Station. Its Location is like in the middle of everything. THE STUFF IS SOOOOOOOOO SO SO Helpful and nice. they are doing excellent excellent Job. I stayed once at Holiday Inn the night was for like 165$ and i had a wedding party down my room veranda i couldn't sleep till 2am even after making too many complaints. if i went to Istanbul ever again i wouldn't choose something except that Hotel :) :) :) :)
- Staff is super kind and helpful (we got all the necessary information about the transport/sightseeings, restaurants, bars, etc.) and also free maps, postcards and Istanbul transport card was also available in the hotel - breakfasts are tasty and diverse (also when checking out early, the breakfast was served earlier especially for us) - rooms are clean and tidy - the view is magnificent from the 24-hours open terrace, as well as from the room itself - centric location, everything within 15 minutes reach (on foot, or by tram).
- 5(!) minarets in the neighborhood, really loud at 4 am (at the sunrise), but you get accustomed to it
good stuff，early check in and breakfast
a bit noisy in the night
Hotel feels very new. Extremely clean. Very warm and helpful staff at reception. Excellent breakfast and view from the terrace. Wifi worked well.
We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and it was a really nice stay. The staff is very kind and tried to help us with all of our questions about everything from nice places in Istanbul to which places to visit after Istanbul. The room was clean and included a small fridge. The breakfast was great and included more than 20 different turkish dishes.
It is located at the bottom of a steep hill, which means you are quite sweaty already at the beginning of the day.
Good hotel in a 15 minutes walking distance from main sights of old city. The best in the hotel is a personnel, communicative guys in the reception and polite man serving breakfast. Nobody will stay indifferent of breathtaking view from the terraсе to the Marmara sea and the domes of old christian cathedral.
Staff was fantastic!!!!!!! Cute, small and sweet hotel with an amaaaaaazzzaing roof top view while enjoying a wonderful breakfast spread they prepare for you!
Funky neighborhood ... but then again... kinda cool to be in a neighborhood where the locals live not just the tourist area.
Spacious room. Clean, quiet hotel with extensive views of the.Bosphorus from the breakfast room. Helpful staff.
Handy to centre and cheap restaurants.but the location at the bottom of a steep street in a relatively poor area would not appeal to some.
We had a fantastic time.Yawuz and his staff were amazingly helpful.the view from the breakfast area and the location were prime . sultanahmet is only 10 minutes walk and wonderful eating places are nearby. It was like being among familiar people.they guided us so well about local sightseeing etc.we will always stay at Sayeban if we ever return to Sultanahmet area.breakfast was amazing.
The last street leading up to the hotel is quite steep and on our way back my 6 year old daughter would get tired:). There was nothing wrong really. We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly to all families .
staff was fantastic. The hotel is off the beaten track yet close to major attractions. Rooms are clean and comformtable. Breakfasts are great
