Score from 502 reviews Very good
Very helpful staff, enjoyable breakfast at the terrance with great view!
Very small room, uncomfortable bed, low connection of wi-fi, noisy neighbourhood
The staff at the reception was truly fantastic! Bathroom very clean and looked new. Location is good.
The breakfast while beautifully located at the upper floor with great views is utterly disappointing. I would definitely stay there again, but have my breakfast in a nearby cafe. The walls are really thin, so if you are unlucky to have noisy people on your floor, you may not enjoy it.
staff and location overall
Good location, near to public transportation, sight seeing, very near to Kumkapi the place with the fish tavernas and the small music bands playing traditional music from table to table if the customers invite them to play. This was very enjoyable ,and something we never saw before. The hotel staff especially Mr.Yavouz was really helpful and very very polite. The cleaners cleaned the room every day and changed the towels every day as well. Thanks for the good service. Our room was on the 4th floor with a beautiful view to the sea and an old christian church ,Ag.Kiriaki.The breakfast covered all the tastes, eastern and western.Even if the hotel is situated in a very busy street(during the day),during the night it was very quiet.I would definately come back to Sayeban Hotel.
There is nothing we did not like.
Great staff; they were very friendly and helpfull. Made reservations for us at a EXCELLENT restaurant ("stone house") Breakfast was good, hotel was in a good area but most of all the staff was SUPER!!!!
Wifi didn't always work and the rooms where a bit small.
We had amazing time at this hotel. Everybody was friendly, especially Yavuz (General Manager) who was so helpful, he went out of his way to make our time wonderful. The hotel has a great location in the old town, close to many attractions and also with good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Our room was nice, clean and well equipped. We had varied breakfast on the top floor which has a beautiful sea view. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
the staff was Excellent especially Mr Yavus And Mr AbdAllah the Syrian guy, the view was excellent
there was smell at the fourth floor i hope they have fix it
Best location, very nice and helpful staff, excellent breakfast with views,
short bed noisy street (but noisy everywhere in Istanbul:-)
The location of the hotel in the old town is pretty nice. Staff were very helpful and nice especially Yavuz and Abdel-Wahab. View from the terrace is very beautiful.
- Quality of food wasn't excellent. - It is a little bit noisy out there especially during the day. - Room service changed our bed sheet once in 4 nights, they only make our bed while keeping the same bed sheet. - Hotel is down a steep ramp, it is somewhat tiring to get up there especially if you have luggage. Hotel should offer some service to deliver your luggage up there or something. - It was a bit hard to find the hotel, so we got lost for almost half an hour until we found it for the first time.
Every receptionist are very nice! friendly and kindly provide information to tourist.
1. The guys at the reception are enthusiasm, they always said hello to me when I got in and out the hotel. 2. I like the breakfast in the beautiful dining room very much. The lady working there is a nice person. 3. The hotel is near the Beyazit tram station. Blue Mosque is also within the walking distance. There are a lot of shops and restaurants near the hotel.
1. The windowsills are covered with dust. There is also a lot of dust under the bed and the cabinet. One day when I came back in the night, two cockroaches on the floor of the toilet scared me a lot. 2. The prayer from outside woke me up at 6 o'clock every morning even when I closed the windows. 3. As there is no socket above the table and the bed stands, it's not convenient to charge the digital equipment. 4. The room floor is uneven.
The room looked exactly as in the pictures, with great sunrises from the window. Also great terrace, where we could relax by a great Turkish coffee. Neat and pleasant.
Staff, breakfast, roof top terrace, location
Noisy at night due to construction and workshop nearby,
Friendly staff Clean room Good hotel position.
I dont see.
The location was very handy for the most popular sites, all within 20 mins walking. Staff very helpful and welcoming.
The area looks a little on the rough side, but is very safe and the locals are extremely friendly. Good restaurants within easy walking distance.
WE reserved a room with a view to the sea, double bed and bathroom, and that's what we got. The building looked like it had been remodeled recently, with new appliances and fixtures. It features a very good and reliable elevator. The manager, Mr. Yavuz, proved to be a really good communicator, and very helpful with every one of our questions. The breakfast, buffet style, with a large variety of options, was served on the hotel's terrace with a great view of the Marmara Sea and of the fishing vessels going in or out of the neighboring fishing port. The bed sheets had been changed every day and the room thoroughly cleaned. All in all it had been a very good experience and I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends.
I can't think of anything that I disliked about this hotel.
The guy at the reception is very charismatic and helpful. The terrace with a great view is always at your disposal, so you can buy local wine or Turkish delights a few blocks uphill and enjoy the evening on top of the building. The rooms are small for anything other than sleeping, but there's no point in spending days in your room anyway since this hotel is located in the Old City. The description says that there's a public parking nearby, but to be honest I wouldn't try reaching this place by car (unless you are sure that heavy traffic and narrow streets will not make you regret your decision).
Breakfast, location, quiet, cleanliness.
No washroom in ground floor, comfort of bed is really thin.
YANUZ at the reception was very nice and helpful. Terrace is nice.
Everything. Bed is uncomfortable and too short I had to sleep side ways. We got two singles put together there was a gap in the middle. Nothing on the telly in english exept for Bbc. No good light to read a book. Breakfast all cold. Decor like from a hostel. We got ripped off €80 a night !
We had a great stay at Sayeban. Despite our unexpected (very) early arrival in Istanbul we were warmly welcomed in the hotel at 07AM. General manager mr. Ozhasar quickly came over to help us in person, found our booking and helped us to our modern room where we could lay our tired heads way before the official check in time. The room felt nothing like other unpersonal hotel rooms but was comfy and nicely decorated. Location close to some good restaurants and the IDO-dock, nice neighbourhood in the old part of Istanbul with all the major sights within walking distance. Breakfast at the roof top restaurant was excellent. Hotel has an elevator. Would definitely recommend this hotel for great quality and service for a good price, especially when compared to other hotels we've had in Istanbul.
So we didn't actually end up staying at this hotel, because the previous guests had broken something in the bathroom, rendering the shower unusable, and they had no other rooms, but they arranged a room for us at anothert great hotel just around the block as well as free transport to the airport at the end of our stay. So while I can't rate the hotel itself, I can say that the customer service was excellent.
Yavuz ahahahah, everything...amazing hotel... Regards from Nina,Marija,Vlado...
The service was great Staff was professional and very kind Alpay help us in transportation in Istanbul Abdel-wahab recommend us for places to visit and gave us tips And Yavuz guide us a lot in istanbul and cites aroud like Sile Great service Rich breakfast meal Fantastic view of the sea during breakfast. There was a minimarket near the hotel with good prices.
Cleaniness , helpful staff , good breakfast with a good terrace view
I went to Istanbul to meet friends. I was there a day by myself and I can't say enough great things about Yavouz, the manager. His hospitality was wonderful and he helped me navigate the city on my own. When my friends arrived he was just as welcoming to them. Overall wonderful experience. Only downside is that it was really hard for the cab to find so go prepared with the address and phone number!
