I do like the manner of approach by the staffs at the hotel. They are so polite and always willing to help you. I love the space in the room and quietness as well and most especially the top class bar restaurant that gives you a classic view of Istanbul sea. Fantastic breakfast. The Staffs at Sed Hotel been so helpful to me during my stay there. See you soon guys...
I would say the management should do something about the stairs leaving into the hotel. A more accessible stairs for handling your bags without lifting up.
The hotel is very nice, very comfortable, the people working in the hotel are very helpful , i had tried many hotels this trip, 4& 5 stars but this hotel for me is the best, in my next trip t to Istanbul, for sure, i will stay in this hotel
The proximity to both metro (3-4 blocks uphill or to the tramway (2 blocks downhill). The view from the terrace is second-to-none over the sea and the Asian side. The stuff was very friendly, from Mr. Vatan and Mr. Selgur at reception, to the restaurant staff at the terrace. Breakfast is very complete.
The room carpet was not the cleanest. The Hotel could provide cheap sleepers for confort in room. Internet was a bit too slow.
Good staff. Kind reception. Close to Taksim. Quiet.
Taxi couldn't find the place. Need better info for the access.
Wifi and location
They really care about their guests, trying to satisfy all requests. Based on my schedule I was in the hotel predominantly in the evening and independently on the time Caren the receptionist during that time slot was always kind, welcoming caring about my requests such as having late dinner, water, directions, taxis. I usually travel to Istanbul and I have been to higher stars hotel but the customer service at Sed hotel has been the best so far.
They should have a more optional breakfast. Bit more of maintenance.
The hotel was very clean, and the customer service was good. The area where the hotel is, is generally quite safe. The breakfast was alright.
The air-conditioning wasn't working. It was so hot you'd think the heater was on even though it was during October. I had to open the windows in order to sleep comfortably. The furniture and colours in the room were a bit dull. No complimentary water bottles were provided. Live music on the rooftop restaurant during weekends till 1am can be heard in the rooms.
difficult to walk to hotel from tram station with baby stroller
Convenient location, midway between Taksim and Kabatas, from where you can get the tram into the old city. Nice roof terrace restaurant and bar, with a lovely view over the water to the Asian side. Breakfast acceptable; room small but decent. Location is in a side street, so reasonably quiet.
Only problem with the location is that if you want to get to Taksim on foot, it is all uphill - not so good if you have luggage. But taxis are cheap.
Everything! The hotel is classified as a 3 stars but definitely deserves much more. The staff is incredible: Very polite and always trying to do the best to help us. I've been travelling for 2 weeks and after Paris and Barcelona, Istanbul was the best in everything, specially the hotel. The Wifi was really good and never failed. The location can be a little bit confusing in the beginning but I get used to really fast. In less than 10 min you can get at Taksim Square and Istiklal Caddesi.
location was great although hills could be a challenge if you are a bit less abled
small room but nice and clean and well furnished
there is a club which is so loud and I can't fall asleep until 2am.
Central air conditioning was turned off during day time, so it was very hot in the beginning of September.
clean & cosy rooms, easy connection to old city part, practical in one word
staff could be a bit more friendly and welcoming
It was a nicely located hotel with friendly staff and at close walking distance to the Bosphorus and golden horn boat tours. Wich i enjoyed a lot for litlle money and gave me a very good orientation off Istanbul. Breakfast buffet was super presented in a nice decorated specious dinning room on the downstairs floor. I had a real cosy single room for a super deal price. I slept great.
Would be nice if the breakfast buffet was serviced at the roof restaurant terras with its beautifull panaroma. I had no dislikes. Just one waiter at breakfast thought he could take his change on a single traveling woman. Wenn i completly ignored him, he made some stupid remark wich ofcourse only i good hear. But nothing i wouldn't go back for, for a next plesant stay.
This hotel is situated a stones throw from the Bosporus with a wonderful rooftop view of the city. Location is hard to get to but centrally located in the city. Perfect for business or pleasure. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. And there is a very fine restaurant on the roof featuring live music on weekends and reasonable prices!
The road to acces the hotel is difficult to reach because of the crazy streets but that is an issue anywhere in Istanbul.
The smell in the room, the breakfast, that wasn't so variable.
the breakfast, room
Expensive transport charges to & from airport - should be hotel service - not through bus contractor
Good.quite..clean staff also kind enough specially in the evening shift Mr. Canar and brus and it is near to see and pacatash station
Road to taqsim is difficult so you have to keep your special car to reach the people there
The hotel is good clean and modern
Rooms are small it is on a hill so it hard when u go upstairs in the road from meteo
location not far from metro staff cleaning
located at a hill, so when you get back to the hotel you need to be sportive man/woman the breakfast poor and not changed (all the days we get the same breakfast)
The reception staff spoke very good English. were very friendly and efficient. The standard single room was small but comfortable and the bathroom lovely. Once given directions by reception the location proved to be great and just 10 minute tranquil walk to bustling Taksim. Had it not been for suitcases it is far better to walk than take a taxi as the roads leading here have lots of one ways hence the being longer than walking.
the taxi driver found it very difficult to find the place and it took several stops and enquiries to finally get there which costs double the fare had he known where it was. Apparently this is a common problem
The llace is interneduate and close to tge sea, rooms are clean and quite and you can enjoy nice sleeping with the air coundioning system after a fat day.
Excellent breakfast! African Grey in lobby!
