Good hotel if you want to be in the center of Istanbul near the Blue Mosque and the historic place of Istanbul....you can walk about 7 minutes to be there Near the metro station Sultanahmed Value for money we were two brothers when we visited Istanbul in December 2014 for a 7 nights at only 168 Euro including breakfast Staf so kind and helpful specialy Ismail who worked at night in the reception... the restaurant is in the roof of the hotel...view is great from there when you have your breakfast
Clean bed and bathroom. Nice owner to talk to in English. They were helpful when we needed help. Not expensive at all.
It's very noisy area around ( industri area ) that I couldn't let the window open all day and untill late in night. No reception. you need to go up in the street to find the office ( reception ) to get the key when you arrive. We had a reservation for 3 single beds and did pay for that, but got 2 single beds first day. and second day we got one double bed and one single bed in one room. I will find another place if I come to Istanbul again.
location, cosy room, efficient private bathroom, eat corner with some ustensils
that there was no elevator
location and value for money was excellent, providing us with a clean comfortable cozy little room, minutes walking distance from main attractions. pleasant area, accessible at all times, for walking and moving around all the city and easy access back at all times of day. friendly staff & clean rooms.
bathroom was tiny without a tub, and water heating wasn't that comfortable, otherwise all is very good.
That there is no sign about hotel, so it was quite hard to find it.
Price was good. Nice staff.
A little bit far from the main places.
Staff / fathi et les autres + Wifi excellent + close to the metro station
Very prime location.
The reception office was difficult to find and no labels.
Place Very Good for a sleep if you travel for bussiness Good and kind staff Near to port if you want to travel
Away from tram and metro station Away from reception No phone to call reception And no elevator
Good location, value for money, friendly host!
No card facilities which we found out the morning of leaving and had to walk 2km to draw cash. Bit embarrassing.
Good location, nice personal, clean, change towels and clean the room everyday, correct place.
Difficult find the reception or lobby is next to the hotel in other hotel at 50 meters distance.
- big and comfortable bed - nice location (5 minutes walk to AyaSofya)
- we booked room in one building (shown on the pictures) but were settled in absolutely another building - To find this hostel you will need to ask guys from nearest cafe. They will point to some main office, which is responsible for a couple of hostels in this district of Istanbul. Manager in this hostel will call another guy from the hostel to serve you. To much movements... - Host told us that he will settle us in another (better) room, because the one we booked was busy. - It looked like the building itself was absolutely old and in the middle of its repairing. The room was in the same condition. There was a glue smell inside. Toilet wall wasn't finished, and didn't reach the ceiling. Shower cabin lead water to leak to the toilet. - Staff inside the room didn't match description on the booking.com: electric kettle, glasses, mirror were missing. - There was only 1 guy on reception who was speaking English well. But this guy was only at the day we arrived. After that, another young man was on reception all the time, and he didn't speak English at all. In order to solve some issues he called his manager and I discussed everything with him by phone. - In the morning of the next day we asked on reception to give us the kettle, and they promised to do this. In the evening, when we came back, there was indeed a kettle, but when we turned it on, it just blew up. In order to get some hot water that evening, that bad-english-speaking guy was running around Istanbul looking for hot water for me. - Breakfast wasn't on time every morning. Even more, I had to came down to reception to remind them of my breakfast. Breakfast was served to your room. There is no kitchen in the hostel. - At the last day of our staying there we got working kettle, glasses and mirror. But breakfast was still delayed :) - We spent here 3 nights and every day we had new fun with this hostel.
Excelent situation Service was very polite and friendly Good value for money
We request a double bed, but we had two beds together The ceiling was too low in our room
Staff is very friendly and tries their best to provide every possible satisfaction to the customers. Cleanliness is good. It's located 5-10 minutes walk from the historic Blue Mosque.
Rooms & Bathroom are smaller.
There are many broken down facilities. Toilet bowl flush did not work properly. Water heater did not work.
I could enjoy about all could be necessary, no more no less. Good location.
The Wi-Fi were enough good, but slow.
I knew I'd booked a very basic hotel for my last night in Istanbul. Luckily I had a blue Dot on my iPhone to guide me to the hotel as it was not signed in anyway. I saw two people leaving a doorway and asked if I were in the right place . When they said I was there I went up two flights of stairs only to find that the manager was not in . a Turkish couple were waiting for him and told me not to stay in the hotel that it was awful! The manager arrived moments later and I asked him if I could see the room before I paid. He said the room wasn't ready could I come back in an hour . He said he was giving me a room in a newly renovated apartment . The new hotel has an elevator that works well and the rooms are brand-new with new furniture and bedding. But there's still painting drywall drains and lighting that need to be installed. I went off to look at the blue Mosque and came back probably three hours later only to find that the room was not yet ready. The manager told me I was his first guest! The shower had plenty of hot water but the shower stall leaked all over the floor. It was very noisy until the workers left but then I slept like a baby all through the night . When the project is finished and the outside is prettied up it will be great for a budget hotel.
I would've been happier to checked in before five as I had left my other hotel early in the morning to visit the blue Mosque before it got crowded. I was only spending that night and leaving for the airport early in the morning. I had left my bags at the other hotel so all I had was a little day pack. The flooding gave me pause but it was easily cleaned up and I think that once they get everything finished it will be a decent place to stay
very good breakfast on the terrace, kind staff, location
bathroom (small; equipment was old), it's difficult to find the hotel for the first time (even with taxi), despite this good value for money
Small room and small bathroom. Water goes everywhere!
The location was great however taxi drivers and our bus tour struggled to find it. It is directly above The Local Cafe and Restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was basic but clean and comfortable and secure and had air conditioning which is a must. You can pay for a lot in Turkey with Euro, including this hotel, which we didn't know about in advance so that may be helpful for others to know.
You have to call on arrival at the hotel so make sure your phone is charged. They also don't have a manned reception so we used the hotel across the road to call us a taxi when we needed it.
Emailed and Fethi Fırat responded in absence of Yusuf özhasar. Fethi was very helpful after I located him. A smoking room on 1st floor was arranged on request. Location quite central depending on what you want to see. Local Cafe & Restaurant provides fair priced good food but many other restaurant near-by. Wi-Fi Free and good as advertised.
Found Rethi Firat 30 metres south of local Cafe & Restaurant, this could have been advertised of emailed. Tv didn't work but didn't miss it as such. Building activities across the street may upset some people but only 08:00 Taxi from Atatürk airport was 40 Lira or 50 at most instead of Hotel Courtesy taxi Euro 30 - Bookded external Airport Shuttle for 15 Lira. Bed Linen had small holes on side but didn't bother me really. Bathroom a bit small and shower head fell down from wall. Water spreading as reported can be stopped by towel on floor. Draw money at airport as you have to pay cash on arrival not Credit Card facilities.
Nice location behind Blue mosque, nice breakfast in bed, nice staff, good net connection and clean
The location is bussy area with big traffic jam and noisy.
Very good location too near from the touristic places specially Sultan Ahmed mosque" the blue mosque" , Ayah Sophia and Topi kapi palace
there was mini fridge in room, a/c, and kettle! staff was great! we will return for sure!!!
Really good location near grand bazaar and blue mosque. Tram is also really close and the neighborhood is calm and full of life.
It's not easy to find, there is no name at the door of the hotel and you have to ask in the bar which is at the door...
