1- according to booking.com the hotel was supposed to be 5 minutes from taksim sq. Which was a lie, and false advertising. The hotel was not close to airport nor to the city downrown. 2- the food was terrible and expensive and my daughte got sick from room service for lam chop, and she needed a Dr. But at no avail. 3- towel and robes were old and ripped. Room not very clean either and no mgr on site and employees don't speak english neither the shift supervisor for the weekend. Overall I give zero and worse experience of my life and trip.

staff somehow dry attitude outdated far from attractions like SUltan Ahmet, Ortakoy and Taksim food and internet pricey large families and kids in hotel make it noisey sometime poor selection of toiletries in bathroom

The warm and friendly wlecome and service oriented approach by the team from check-in to check-out, notably by Mr. Ozgur, Room Service Supervisor who was attentive to details and went the extra mile promoting Shereton brand. I also liked the lighting, lobby layout, interior decoration/colour scheme of the room, sea view and service excellence customay to Shereton brand.

I cannot think of anything I did not like but the following: I had booked through Booking.Com for 2 nights - check in date 27th March and check out date 29th March. Total cost Euro 280/- I arrived around 2 am on the 27th March from the airport to the hotel. I was charged Euro 230 for early check in, which I found exhorbitant. Half day charge could have been more reasonable which I proposed to pay but this was not accepted. Please consider refunding me the eaerly check in charges. Thank you very much.

The hotel is in a nice position on the sea, close to Atakoy Marina. It is handy for the airport and for ncr showgrounds

It is a bit away from Istanbul city center. Due to often bad traffic, a trip to the city center can take one hour or more.

This hotel was a disaster at all. Our arrival was on 26th of February but they charged from my credit card a huge amount of money 4400 turkish lira on 25th of february before our arrival. Although I asked many times to the reception staff if they charged any thing from my card they did not informed me at all. I have been travelling with booking since 20 years and this is the first time that a hotel charges from your credit card before your arrival ! Especially a huge amount of money. When we were checking out also they didnt inform any of us that they already charged in the beginning. This is worst service I have ever had and I complain them to the Ministry of Culture. They are cheaters and they didnt return my money till now !!! Their staff is not polite and if you have a piece of mind never choose this hotel. It was my mistake that I didnt read the comments in booking before I made reservation from this hotel, because if you read the comments you will see that nobody was happy and they cheated everybodies money.

We particularly liked the location and facilities within the hotel - close to the airport, sea and shops. The staff were friendly and gave excellent service. The room was spacious with panoramic sea views. Breakfast selection was first class and the trendy bar was friendly. Lobby entertainment with the piano was enjoyable. Lobby food was tasty and room service excellent. Having stayed in various hotels in Istanbul this was the best so far.

It seems strange that in a hotel of this category extra charges are made for internet and tv. These charges should be incorporated into the room rates for ease of use.

This is becoming my favourite Sheraton. Close to the airport and the ferry to Barakoy and great seafood resturants. Not the best place to stay if you are looking for nightlife though.

The no outside food or drinks policy. If I want to eat a banana and drink Raki in my room and not pay Sheraton prices I should be allowed.

I have visited several hotels in Istanbul last month and the Sheraton was the best - very nice hotel!

1. Cold Lobby and coffee area , we had to ask every day the staff to shut down the AC by 4 degree no need. 2. No Nargila (Shisha) available

One of your reception staff was particularly discourteous and unnecessarily obnoxious.

When I booked the room the Hotel charged TL 310 from my card account, but during check out time they asked me to pay for the room, when I told them that the amount already has been charged from my account on 22.02.2013 at 13:35 they explaned me they only blocked but did not charge. I always book through booking.com but it was first to have such a situation. Hope they will return TL 310 to my card account as they told me.

The hotel is amazing, perfect view, Nice and helpful staff. Very good options for a club room! The size of the room was very good- with a sofa and a desk, big bathroom. The area around the hotel - very nice marina, good and famous restaurant Gilik, next to a big shopping mall and very easy access to the other places.

Everything was perfect!

The bottom of the bed is covered with leather which has probably been white before. Find a way to clean it, it doesn't look very appealing anymore.

I forget big amount of money under my pillo , and when I came back I found the money in the same place, the cleaner was a young and honest lady she returned the money in the same place and informed immediately the security, this can't happen in other hotels

Calmness , honesty , kindness of the staff and the food was delicious

Basically I don't like hotel and service is very poor and I prefer not to stay this hotel again

The hotel is modern and comfortable, not bad.

The staff gave us a very hard time and would not give us the rooms until we paid again, although we booked and they received payment one month before we got there. They claim that the person(my husband) who booked with his cc was not present and they charged my cc for the same amount and would not even listen that we are frequent travelers and we never had such an experience. I would never stay there again, and I am still waiting for them to reverse the charge although they checked and told me that I was right!!!!
