Wifi siginal is not very strong
convenient location with an excellent view from terrace, fun and unique rooms, friendly and helpful staff that booked tours and busses for us. overall awesome place and great value!
The reception staff didn't leave us with a good impression. The first one (young guy) who checked us in was not very warm nor helpful with our enquiries. The other one we met (older man) was blunt and pushy. We were advised via email that we could pay for the night show with credit card, but at the hotel the staff demanded that we pay cash in euro. Overall not a welcoming experience.
Authentic cave dwelling; spacious bathroom; room stayed warm in winter. We arranged airport shuttle, local tour and night show with the hotel via email before our trip. Response and confirmation was quick.
Nice staff and very good local foods.
Great price for the standard
No TV, however the name of the place is "Shoestring" :) The wifi is a problem deep inside the room but then you are inside a cave. It works well in the dining room and outside on the terrace.
First, I was lucky to have my room upgraded for no extra cost, which gave me a jacuzzi tub where I had about an hour long soak one afternoon. Awesome! And they provide a hairdryer. Oktay and Suleyman were very friendly and extemely helpful. When I arrived, I spoke to Oktay who helped me choose a day tour and gave me excellent advice about booking my balloon flight. He advised me to book for every day of my stay because the weather hadn't been great and the balloons weren't flying every day. His advice was right on the money because the first day of my stay and the third day of my stay the balloons couldn't fly but I was very happy and excited to end up being lucky enough to get my flight on day 2. Oktay was also nice enough to show me a new room they were constructing in one of the caves when I asked if I could see how they ran pipes and wiring. On my last day Suleyman offered to drive me to the carpet co-operative where I saw first-hand how the women knot the carpets and also how they process the silk coccoons into the silk threads for the carpets...another highlight of my trip.
the room we had was way too small. the double bed was not that big either. and the ceiling was dripping water a little when it rained. but the staff took care of that soon enough. too bad it was winter so the pool wasn't working.
the location of the hotel is good. up the hill and close to town. staff nice and friendly. they arranged good local tours for you. the breakfast is good enough. the room is extremely cozy and warm.
My only reservation is that the staff works in shift and at times, I had to keep on checking with multiple people to get some questions sorted out.
I stayed in the shoestring cave for 2 day and it was fantastic. Good cave rooms, clean and warm (it was winter time). Breakfast was pretty decent too!
Definitely worth to come. Very helpful staffs, offering many information, help you booking for your tour in cappadocia. Facility in house in ok though it can be better. Beautiful place, good location.
Bad wifi signal. No tv in room. Heater satisfactory.
Helpful staff, Helped tour organosation. Beautiful place.
The shower leaked and I the mount on the wall was broken so had to hold the shower head. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim, lightbulbs were missing. Also the breakfast was terrible. The lobby/hang out room served drinks but no snacks, which was really inconvenient.
I liked that it was in the centre of Goreme Village. The bed was nice and comfy as well.
They should atleast provide with a telephone in the room for emergency cases And hotel staff should learn to communicate in basic english.
Location of the hotel and value for money.
Wifi was unreliable. It didn't work most of the time.
Staff was very helpful, hotel decoration was great. The bed was comfy. We stayed in deluxe room. The room was quite small but got the bathroom with the same size of the room! we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to stay back there if we visit Cappadocia again!!
We really liked the cheffcooker who is calling Ali Can. We enjoy all the time in hotel. The position is good, at the center of the city
* The bathroom drain was very smelly so we had to keep the bathroom door closed.
* It's a cave! What more can we say? * The staff were friendly and helpful.
the WIFI in someplace is little bit weak.
the room and bed are very comfortable! even in the very cold winter, the room is still very warm. also, the host and staff are really friendly and helpful. you must try the breakfast, really substantial and delicious!
We really enjoy our stay in shoestring. The staffs are really friendly and kind. The location are great too. We hope,we can go there again!
the bathtub was not clean and i had to clean myself. The bathroom was too dark.
Hotel not easy for older people with walking problems to go to breakfast . Dinner at 25 TL was a bit poor , over cooked chicken, dessert so so. The guy on duty was in a hurry to close the restaurant and was running to leave the place.
Nice helpfull staff, good breakfast delicious omelettes and fried eggs, clean rooms, great shower with nice warm water at all time. Good location.
Location was great, free parking available, was fun sleeping in a cave, free breakfast available, good shower
The jacuzzi in one room when used spurted out black dirt - needed a good clean. Were woken up early as the walls are thin and you hear everyone as they get ready to leave or go to their balloon flights.
We enjoyed the quaint appearance from outside and the suite rooms. Beds were comfortable, staff were helpful, breakfast was plentiful. Despite what I might write in the 'what didn't you like' section, I would stay there again. We were there in autumn, so didn't get to use the pool on the terrace. I think that would be cool to use in summer!
Scammed us on touristy packages. Promised refund on cancelled air ballon ride due to poor weather. Did not provide a refund. Breakfast was mediocre.
Clean room and facilities. Free breakfast.
