I stayed in the shoestring cave for 2 day and it was fantastic. Good cave rooms, clean and warm (it was winter time). Breakfast was pretty decent too!
My only reservation is that the staff works in shift and at times, I had to keep on checking with multiple people to get some questions sorted out.
Definitely worth to come. Very helpful staffs, offering many information, help you booking for your tour in cappadocia. Facility in house in ok though it can be better. Beautiful place, good location.
Helpful staff, Helped tour organosation. Beautiful place.
Bad wifi signal. No tv in room. Heater satisfactory.
I liked that it was in the centre of Goreme Village. The bed was nice and comfy as well.
The shower leaked and I the mount on the wall was broken so had to hold the shower head. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim, lightbulbs were missing. Also the breakfast was terrible. The lobby/hang out room served drinks but no snacks, which was really inconvenient.
Location of the hotel and value for money.
They should atleast provide with a telephone in the room for emergency cases And hotel staff should learn to communicate in basic english.
Staff was very helpful, hotel decoration was great. The bed was comfy. We stayed in deluxe room. The room was quite small but got the bathroom with the same size of the room! we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to stay back there if we visit Cappadocia again!!
Wifi was unreliable. It didn't work most of the time.
We really liked the cheffcooker who is calling Ali Can. We enjoy all the time in hotel. The position is good, at the center of the city
* It's a cave! What more can we say? * The staff were friendly and helpful.
* The bathroom drain was very smelly so we had to keep the bathroom door closed.
the room and bed are very comfortable! even in the very cold winter, the room is still very warm. also, the host and staff are really friendly and helpful. you must try the breakfast, really substantial and delicious!
the WIFI in someplace is little bit weak.
We really enjoy our stay in shoestring. The staffs are really friendly and kind. The location are great too. We hope,we can go there again!
the bathtub was not clean and i had to clean myself. The bathroom was too dark.
Nice helpfull staff, good breakfast delicious omelettes and fried eggs, clean rooms, great shower with nice warm water at all time. Good location.
Hotel not easy for older people with walking problems to go to breakfast . Dinner at 25 TL was a bit poor , over cooked chicken, dessert so so. The guy on duty was in a hurry to close the restaurant and was running to leave the place.
Location was great, free parking available, was fun sleeping in a cave, free breakfast available, good shower
We enjoyed the quaint appearance from outside and the suite rooms. Beds were comfortable, staff were helpful, breakfast was plentiful. Despite what I might write in the 'what didn't you like' section, I would stay there again. We were there in autumn, so didn't get to use the pool on the terrace. I think that would be cool to use in summer!
The jacuzzi in one room when used spurted out black dirt - needed a good clean. Were woken up early as the walls are thin and you hear everyone as they get ready to leave or go to their balloon flights.
Clean room and facilities. Free breakfast.
Scammed us on touristy packages. Promised refund on cancelled air ballon ride due to poor weather. Did not provide a refund. Breakfast was mediocre.
The housecleaning lady not change the linen for 3 night It's do horrible
The beackfast it's same everyday
Oktay, I love you for your hospitality. Thank you so much for making our stay so beautiful. Hotel Location: Stayed 7-10 Nov 2014. City Center, very near to all the restaurants, shops, many attractions even such as (Goreme Open Air Museum, Red Valley, Love Valley). Considering Cappadocia to be very quiet don’t look for a place quieter than Goreme. In Cappadocia Goreme has its own charm. It’s quiet, peaceful but not dead. Room: What can I say, I don’t really have words to express my experience staying in a cave room. OMG..!! It was super cute. Don’t complain about rooms being small Oh come on it’s a cave and it has to be small. Go and visit the underground cities and actually you will come to know what exactly living in a cave would be. Rooms are small but the beds are not. Beds are really comfortable and the room is super cute. If you are looking for a luxury better don’t stay in any of the cave hotels in Cappadocia. I have stayed in a standard room and a suite too but I loved the cute cozy standard room more. Bathroom: Super big, I really mean it. It is super BIG same size like our standard room. May be because of the concept of the cave hotel they have made the rooms smaller to get that cave feel but bathroom is super nice and clean. Shampoos, Conditioner, Body Wash provided. Every day the sweet lady will come and make your bed and clean your room. Towels changed every day without asking. You need to keep your keys at the reception and don’t worry about your personal belongings at all. Important Advice: Shut the bathroom door close to avoid the sewage smell. The smell is not too harsh but due to limited exhaust it happens don’t judge the hotel on this. Breakfast: 8am-10am - Boiled Eggs, Half fry eggs, Cheese Borek, 3 diff types of cheese, Salami, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Apples, Oranges, Grapes, Bread, Jam, Butter, Honey, Cornflakes and Cocoa Pops, Cake, Biscuits, Black and Green Olives, Big Green chilli fried which was amazing, few more things I don’t remember.
Nothing AT ALL
Staff seems amateur but really helpfull and location was really central.
Breakfast was not fresh actually, even cheese was smelly. But maybe because it was off season in november. Anyway, they served better on nextday.
Friendly staff, good breakfast , excellent location
nice,clean,close to treking area,good breakfast
We liked the appropriateness of the building to the Goreme area as a whole. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel gives very good value for money with its affordable rates.
There are good places to sit outside in fine weather, but the little reception room becomes very cramped in poor weather. Small details in the bathroom and bedroom could be improved, such as soap dishes and towel hooks and bedside lamps. Availability of tea and coffe in the bedroom would be a big plus.
Location and ease of access to mountains
* I love the experience of sleeping inside a cave that was converted into a modest, comfortable and creative room * the location: very accessible to the bus stops, restaurants and shops in Goreme * helpful and friendly staff * most of the activities are arranged by the hotel so it's really convenient * I was offered complimentary shuttle bus service from the airport
* the toilet is not as clean as I expected it to be.
