Only stayed one night here but could have stayed much longer. Şirince is a beautiful little village and I think we chose an excellent place to stay, not because of the accommodation facilities which were adequate but because of the host - Ali - and his family who looked after us so well. We ate at the restaurant both dinner and breakfast the next day and those meals were a highlight of our trip to Turkey. Given the time of year, it was quiet and staying at Şirincem Pension was so relaxing. Thank you Ali and family for looking after us so well. We hope to be back!
The Turkish cotton towels were the nicest we had in the entire month long trip through Turkey.
The smell of moth balls and sewage from the bathroom was overwhelming. The toilet was IN the shower stall so it made for a wet toilet with every shower. There was too much furniture in the room which made getting around awkward. The bed was fine but the bedding just covered the bed which meant that once you got into the bed, one of us was without covers if the other person rolled over. The linens were lovely but the lace and embroidery was uncomfortable and scratchy. Ali tried very hard to be nice but he was too "touchy" with me. My husband was also very uncomfortable with Ali always touching him. The restaurant was stressful as it appeared to be super disorganized. One of the windows in our room didn't open. Our eggs the second day arrived "swimming" in oil and were basically inedible. The village is very, very busy with way more tourists than we ever could have believed so it wasn't the quiet or peaceful sanctuary that we envisioned. The fan was so noisy in the bathroom and it came on automatically when you turned on the light. Consequently we did as much as we could in the dark. We didn't want to tell Ali any of this because I had questioned him about the price of the room and he was so distraught about my question that I finally had to tell him to leave our room and go take care of the customers in his restaurant. He doesn't handle problems or issues well which could definitely be a language situation.
Friendly host. very good location. Excellent breakfast
My wife and I only stayed 2 nights however our stay was memorable in so many ways. from the time we arrived till our departure we were treated as family. Ali (the owner) is warm and friendly and nothing was a bother to him as our comfort and care was his priority. Really appreciated this kind of hospitality. As a parting gift Ali gave us several handfuls of home grown organic walnuts which were delicious. Do yourself a favour and stay in this village as opposed to the options in down town Selcuk. Ali's restaurant was great value and delicious - the breakfast was the bestest ever !!!
That we had to leave
Ali was wonderful, helpful and welcoming, the ambiance of the place as different from a regular hotel as can be. The owner, Ali, was very attentive; to accommodate our early departure, he personally prepared a full breakfast and saw us off. We were very pleased with the experience.
Nothing to do with the pension itself, but beware of the congested traffic on a market Sunday.
Ali, the host, was very helpful with anything we needed. The village was small and interesting, outside of more tourist areas. Cafe just across street was very pleasant with good and drink.
The bathroom was clean, but small.
Friendly owner, he made me feel like home beautiful decorated room Hearty breakfast
location, location, location. Super breakfast!
Room really small
Ali the owner, goes out of his way to help you. It was a very comfortable stay and just exceeding expectations when you think of the value. Sirince is a tiny, charming old town (20 minute dolmus) away from Selcuk, which is as any other bus station city. So I really recommend staying in Sirince instead if you're in the area for Ephesus. Ali's restaurant also serves good food and the breakfast was scrumptious. I would think that's the end of it and then he would bring another course. The honey and cream for bread was just delicious.
Beautiful comfy bed, very friendly wonderful owner Ali who couldn't do enough for you, good shower, spotless room, fridge and kettle, fabulous breakfast(best I have had in 10 years of Turkey trips), beautiful village especially after day trippers leave. I want to return. double glazing and air conditioning ensured a great nights sleep
Nothing to dislike
I spent 1 night in this pension. It was really awesome. It is very central, 30 sec walk from coach station in village. Staff is very welcoming. For them, You are guests rather than customers. Strictly suggested :).
Ali is the perfect host. Food at the restaurant excellent. Sirince is a charming place. We enjoyed our three nights very much.
great family run pension went above and beyond to accomodate our needs.
The staff was great at all. He was kind and helpful. The location of the hotel was great also.
The room was a bit small but if you do not spend time in the room too much, not a big deal.
We stayed in this guesthouse for one night. The location is great, host is incredibly welcoming and helpful, breakfast is very good. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
Located at the entrance of the village, next to the parking (5tl day). Opposite to the hotel is a very good restaurant that bellongs to the owners of the hotel. The staff is very nice and polite. Unfortunately they do not speak English, besides Ali who does. The breakfast was very rich with great homemade jams, cheeses and many others.
Unfortunately the room and the bathroom was not well cleaned. In the fridge there were stuff from previous occupants. It needs sound proof and renovation of the bathroom which is quite small and even difficult to enter.
Location with the hustle and bustle.Cute little hotel neat and clean.Small cozy courtyard like area outside the room. The room had a good view of the hills.
They also run a restaurant where the food was below average and priced too high for that kind of food..They did not keep their end of the deal as mentioned on the booking agreement.
Everything about this place was wonderful. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and all around amazing. Clean & beautiful room. Wifi, AC, Tea. Small and intimate, quiet and beautiful views. The food at the restaurant was wonderful. Homemade jam, freshly squeezed orange juice, great coffee, fresh fruit after each meal. Easy to get to and from Efes. They even flagged down a bus for us so we didn't miss our train! I would (and will) recommend this place to everyone I can. I wish we could have thanked Ali and said goodbye. We will never forget the wonderful time we had at Sirincem Pension.
We were sad we only stayed a night and had to leave in a hurry. If you come in by train, it's worth noting that you cannot walk to Sirincem (We tried). From the train, walk to the bus station and it's 10 minutes from there.
We were a young couple for 1 night in Sirincem Pension. We were so happy with the treatment that we decided to prolong our stay to 2 days in total. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We were welcomed with a cup of tea while waiting for the keys and invited later for some wine with appetizers, all complimentary. The complimentary breakfast was huge and very good (can be practically substituted to lunch). The rooms are little but very cozy. There was air conditioning in the room, wi-fi and private bathroom. The location is in Sirince centre and is the perfect start for the characteristic nice walk through the little town in search of the perfect fruit wine.
Toilet was not entirely clean, wifi was a bit slow (I believe that it probably still was the best geographical connection in Sirince, so I would not say it is the pension fault).
We stayed in Sirincem Pension for two nights and found everything to be perfect. The location could not be more central, the staff not more friendly and helpful. We got great suggestions for local explorations from Ali, the owner, who was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had breakfast (included) and dinner at Pension and found both to be delicious. The room was cozy and certainly enough for two. Considering the value for money, the size of the bathroom was perfectly reasonable. Especially great for couples. We would definitely recommend staying at Sirincem for travelers looking to visit Sirince for a few days.
Very nice and helpful staff and owner. Always treating food, drinks, and fruits. Breakfast was wonderful. Clean and comfortable room with air conditioner. Their restaurant is good with really nice atmosphere.
Nice town and very quite place , we like the breakfast and the dinner in the hotel.
The boss don't give us the free bottle wine . The another is perfect .
Traditional. Comfortable bed. Breakfast very good.
Slippers are not recycable and should be removed. Bathroom ventilator was noisy and should be repaired. Air condition was wrongly installed and directly diffusing the air on the bed which makes us ill. Staff has been forgotten that we will come to stay, then waited for half an hour to have the room cleaned.
We enjoyed our stay and Ali and his staff were warm and helpful, made us feel part of the family. Great breakfasts and other meals at the restaurant also very good. Nice vantage point to watch people coming and going from the village.
Rooms were small and lovely courtyard with gourds in the photo also small.
the staffs are friendly! Always smiling and energetic. The breakfast was great! And they sometimes offered free orange juice. The location is excellent. Rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable.
