We enjoyed the company of the staff. Sinan gave us the best local knowledge on where best to dine especially at Dibek restaurant (try the Testi kebab). Location of hotel was tucked in a quiet corner away from noise. We enjoyed our walks to the hotel.
Great place to stay. Also does impressive meals. Really enjoyed chatting with the owner in the evening. Sorted us out with everything we needed, bookings and suggestions for things to do. Quiet location near the bottom of pigeon valley.
View was great, clean, staff very friendly and they really try to help you. Breakfast great. I was 2 days in a deluxe roon( cave) and is really nice, the last night i was in a standard and the roon has an incredible view.
Staff Meals Location
So happy we stayed here; amazing views, excellent rooms and the best service we have ever had. Staff and owners go out of their way to make you feel like you are part of the family. They are also very helpful for arranging area tours and transportation. Food was out of this world. Highly recommended.
nice and friendly staffs, the best breakfast I had in Turkey, 10 minutes to walk to center so quite quiet.
we stay in family room which is no view to see, strongly recommend to stay in double room which has a balcony
The location is very good, although a little bit away from the town center, since on the balcony you can see greet typical Cappadocia view. There are a lot flowers in public areas which I like a bit. The stuffs are friendly, and the host drive to pick us from the information center. From booking, they offer a lot help and advice, as balloon flight booking, daily tour booking, shuttle booking. The breakfast is very good, and they offer home made pancake every day, which is fantastic!
As cave hotel, some of the room may only get fair wifi signal, which is understandable.
Not very happy experience to stay this hotel. The room we stay is quite different from those shown on website, all of us were totally shocked and got disappointed in the first sight we came into the room. And the manager is not very honest. bad smell in room as well. All in all, I will not recommend this hotel to my friend
Staff are friendly, going out of their way to help you. Personal service, helpful. Great breakfast. Clean well priced.
Staff fantástico, super acolhedor. Cuidou de tudo pra nós como, shuttle aeroporto/ hotel, passeio de balão e outros tours. Localização excelente. Café da manhã bom! Recomendo totalmente!! Staff fantastic, super friendly. Took care of everything for us as shuttle airport / hotel, balloon trip and other tours. Excellent location. Good breakfast! Totally recommend !!
This is not a luxury hotel, but excellent in almost all other aspects. The staff were very helpful, big, clean rooms with great view (I booked a corner family room and a cave room). a few min's walk to the villege center, but perfect to drive-in customers.
SOS is great value for money. The manager is very friendly and organised our green tour and balloon ride for us with good quality companies at a reasonable price. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view and the free breakfast was great with a wide selection of offerings.
Customer service was excellent. Extremely helpful, kind and accommodating. Spectacular view from terrace..
Relatively good location. Comfort bed. Air-conditioning.
We expected it to be a cave room but it turned out to be not. The room is relatively clean, but the breakfast is nightmare. Flies dancing in the air, tasting all the foods before you do. It's still not the worst thing, the staffs were. They were very friendly, yes, when promoting their tours, balloon flights, airport transportations, etc. However if you do not want take these, the information provided were really poor and even misleading. It is obvious that they must have some sort of partnerships with the tour agencies. The first day we asked for an ATV, and they said it was not allowed to drive ATV on our own thus we must have a guide and the price per hour almost doubled the price outside. We went our own with a much cheaper cost and enjoyed it. The second day they said it was very inconvenient to go to the underground city so recommended us the green line tour, I went back room to do some research and it only took us one third the cost and time to the underground city and everything was great. In the end when we were leaving to the airport, so we asked for the shuttle bus thinking it will pick up us directly from hotel to the airport which would save us plenty of time and efforts. We confirmed the price (25 TL per person) and time the night before our departure. The next morning the bus was late for 15 minutes, then took us around the town to pick up other travellers, making us almost missed the flight. As we only got 100 TL when arriving the airport, we gave the driver 100 but he refused to give us change saying it was 50 TL per person. As time was really limited we had no choice but suffered the losses. We wouldn’t let these people destroy our great impression about Turkey and Turkish. All in all if you have plenty of money and want to secure your tour with tour agencies, choose this hotel and it is great. If you are independent traveller and want to save your money, trust me, choose some one else.
The warm and kind hospitality of the managers and the staff. Especially memet, David and mocsin. It was truly a memorable experience.
Location, staff, the whole place was great, made very welcome, great value for money
The strong point of this hotel is the warmth and friendliness of the owners. As soon as you arrive you will be greeted with a cup of tea. The operator will give you tips on how to organize your stay in Cappadocia. I want to give an example of the great kindness of the owners: We had booked for only 3 nights, but we realized we want to extend the stay. The hotel manager, in addition to having accommodated our request without any problems, also called the airline to change the booking of the flight and the shuttle to the airport. Speaking only of the kindness that you will receive at sos Cave is unfair. The rooms are cozy and clean. The furniture is made of good wood and new. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Great views over the Valley of the Pigeons. The hotel is within walking distance from the beginning of the beautiful trail that runs through the valley, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street, but in a strategic position to reach the ancient lanes of Goreme. Tip: ask for rooms 301, 302, 303 or 304 Beautiful patio with large windows overlooking the valley.
great care shown in meeting the needs of guests, from helping them organise their sightseeing to making sure they were up in time to catch their next bus. The food was terrific and for me it was great that, when I came home after a long day of walking/sight-seeing, I could have dinner at 'home'. Dinner was delicious. Musa, the owner manager, made use of local produce and even took a few of us to the fruit and vegetable market in Avanos where he did his shopping. He has over 25 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry and it shows. But most important, Musa really cares about people, and this makes staying at SOS a very special experience.
real cave hotels. staff are very friendlyand the owner is very knowledgble who gave us lots of useful information. location is very good and has very nice views
we booked a room with terrace, but the host changed our room at last minute: a dark narrow one without air conditioning and a tiny window on the road...After a discussion, and one hour later, he tried to offer us again a good room. We refused because we had already use bath and bed and didn't wont to waste water and energy, and maybe because we had the impression he tried to correct a wrong step. Finally he proposed us a lower price and we accepted. But the disappointement stayed alive.
Helpful, kind staff. A family-run facility where everyone was eager to please and eager to chat to improve their English. They were invaluable in arranging all our tours and transportation. Very honest and dependable. Excellent dinners (not included) and fresh breakfasts (included). Intimate atmosphere where guests have an opportunity to interact. Comfortable and home-y.
Unless you are a sound sleeper, you cannot keep any windows open because of the incessant barking of many dogs all night long. You will be fine if you button up and turn on the a/c. Unfortunate since hotel is located away from noise and mayhem of downtown and still convenient for walking to everything.
We have a beautiful view of the hot air balloons flying in the early morning from the hotel balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful. They even let us learn to make pancakes by ourselves and did our laundry for free!
Incredible staff, great food, good location....loved it so much I decided to go back! Take the owner's advice and wait until you arrive before booking, you can trust him and he will guide you really well.
Musa and Kamal both went to great lengths to get to know us personally and provide for our needs. Sincerely great people. On our last day we checked out in the morning, but hung around town until late at night for an overnight bus. They held our luggage, and when we came to get it, they offered us a ride to the bus station even though we had been checked out for over 12 hours. We agree with the other reviews in saying it's an awesome place all around. Highly recommended!
This hotel is family run and we were treated as family. Staff were genuinely caring and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. The day we arrived, we were given a ride to the open air museum and they made sure we knew our way back to our hotel. Location is excellent. Dining room/patio provided us with an awesome view during breakfast.
