More light at the bathroom
+ Good Location + Kind labor who do their best for your comfort + Free drink ( wine or tea) at hotel restaurant in evening. + Clean rooms with wonderful sight.
- Breakfast variety should be improved - Internet quality should be improved.
Different experience of staying in a cave. Hospitality. Location. Convenience of joining tours/activities. Stove/Fireplace.
Comfort of the bed.
Clean Near to historical places Turkish bath is good
We booked a room in the hotel because balcony and tea/coffee maker were listed in the room description. The room did not have a lot of amenities listed including balcony, tea/coffee maker, and safe deposit box. The room door and windows was opening in a shared terrace with tables/chairs. Since there was no A/C we had to open the windows and was no privacy. We went to the reception and asked why the room does not have what they described but he made different excuses and was very offensive in his talk. At the end he told us, very rudely, if you don't like it get out of here! My experience, just stay away from them!
The owner of the hotel was friendly and kind. When my son came down with gastroenteritis he provided a driver and is own car to take us to the nearest hospital. The driver stayed with us nearly three hours, took us to a pharmacy, and brought us back to hotel. I expected/wanted to pay Ramadan, the owner, he refused. He said the driver worked for him and it was his car. He did let me tip the driver--that is all. Extraordinary.
Breakfast was O.K. but limited in options.
Great Location, hot water was constant and it was nice. Bathroom was spacious. Its a nice experience to be staying in a cave, while you would be dreaming of it when you are hiking !
The room didn't look cleaned well, since we found some used plaster on the floor and other things clearly would have been seen if it was cleaned properly. Shower head was broken.
I like the warm hospitality from the hotel owner and the great scenary. The deluxe room was fantastic!
Loved the hotel and it's location, which is near the top of a hill 100m from sunset point. The rooms all open to an outdoor patio where you can sit, sip a beer and view the rest of Goreme below you. Contrary to the listing, all rooms have WiFi access though this can be weak or slow at peak times. Very comfy bed too!
Breakfast is the same every day and is a rather half-hearted affair with emphasis given to range/selection rather than quality. Could definitely be improved. The other minor issue was communication. Trying to arrange or request anything slightly off the "main script" was harder than it should be for this kind of hotel. These are minor points for an otherwise excellent hotel, but attention to these details would turn an 8.3 rating into a 9.0 rating I'm sure!
I loved all .especially the owner that gave us all the atention and help us sooo much for bringing the willchair for my wife that i had forgotten in Istanbul by bus. He treat me and my family like his own. Thank you so much and defenetlly i will recommend this place for my friends.
Living in a cave is special and nice.
Breakfast not so good. In Turkey you think you can get real juice for breakfast.
Great location. Attractive cave hotel.
Horrendous manager with bad energy. Badgered us constantly about booking tours and hot air balloon rides with him. Every time we entered the hotel, he would dart out intercepting us before we entered our room.
Staff was rude
rooms are very big, clean, comfortable and good equipped. breakfest was very good. it was possible to take a shower befor check-in after all-night journey
on the beginning personel seemed to be nice, but when some problems appeard personel made nervous very quickly. It's good to know that standard rooms are not cave rooms. some things like toilet cistern or shower need to be repair
excellent breakfast! + Overall very cool cave hotel + Great view of the city + Jacuzzi tub in room was great + Made all tourism arrangements for us, very easy + Transit from Kayseri airport was very reasonably priced (arranged by Spelunca)
- Bed & bedding were not comfortable - Staff had limited english, + but it did not prove too problematic with google translate on their computer - Third-party services they arranged had to be paid in cash, + but they took lira, euro, and dollars
Location and hotel very nice
The manager of this hotel made us girls feel very uncomfortable. Do not book this hotel if you are a group of girls he will take advantage of you and try to get you drunk on a night out. Do not book any tours with this hotel very overpriced just go direct to the tour groups.
- nice cave hotel - nice staff - the location is easy to find, juz walk about 5 mins to downtown
- the floor room is not that privacy
We had been upgraded to a huge room for a family when we arrived. The staff were helpful by picking us and dropping us off at the bus stop and arranging tours. We had to wait a while at the hotel the day we left to catch a night bus and even gave us a "goodbye" fruit plate as we waited.
Our room was quite hot during the day. It would have helped to have AC as our room was not directly in the cave.
Bad quality, bad service, bad attitude, staff even kidding at guests, so so so impolite, the price of travel trip in hotel is fraudulence, it is said breakfast is included, but I saw the staff reject give a female customer two toast, only one, so so ridiculous, unbelievable, the worst is that, their behavior of kidding at guest make me so unhappy, I think they only want is making money, I feel no quality of service, especially their behavior let me feel discrimination.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The hospitality we received from the staff and the owner was beyond GREAT! Also, the location and comfort were excellent and the hotel rooms are beautiful. I would like to recommend this hotel to whoever visits Goreme. :)
Excellent local turkish breakfast with variety of choices.Great location.Just walk 5minute to Goreme town.Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.Good experience on Cave Hotel.
Room door very difficult to open.Need servicing.
The staff were very good and helpful. Location excelent, We realy recomend the Spelunca hotel.
Spacious and comfortable room. Bathroom facility. Overview from hotel.
Very ideal cave hotel as expected and pleased with the interior of the room. Good location and the owener is really a nice lady. Very near the town centre and the suset point is just few minute away.
Room was extremely wet during the stay which made me very uncomfy. Tried to fix it by opening the door and window but ended up with a cat trying to get in and a fly actually got in. might because of the rain these days? The electronic system shut down for several times one night but soon got fixed.
good location being easy walk to the town and with good views over the town and valley. Room was an authentic 'cave room' experience
there was a mix up with the airport transfer organised through the hotel when the bus that collected us was headed to the wrong airport - probably a language issue.
