Anything I needed was swiftly taken care of. It was all very easy, the two brothers were absolutely lovely hosts, it felt like a bed and breakfast.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Spelunca Cave Hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They helped us book anything we needed, provided information about the area, and even drove us to the bus station when we left. The hotel is in a great location, we could walk up to see amazing views of goreme, close to the main street, and there are good restaurants nearby. Breakfast includes a wide spread of a typical, very fresh, Turkish breakfast. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We wish we had stayed longer! We hope to be back soon.
The only problem was there was a funky odor in the bathroom. Could've been bad plumbing; I told myself it was just sulphur. Not unbearable though.
The spa tub was terrific; very comfortable; clean; loved the breakfast; the light was much better than I thought would be in a cave :)
staff are great, very helpfull, I booked the ballon flight with them and was everything great, nice location. I had a good experience in hotel
For a trip in February, not a proper place. The electricity went off a few times. The water wasn't running when we first checked-in, the furniture was missing in the room, the bulbs of the mirrors weren't working, there was smoke all over the room when they lited the fireplace.
The room was clean.
*breakfast was not satisfactory *wifi was poor *not many facilities *and staff does not speak english very well. *one bulb was not working, we informed to fix the same but they didnt understand us.
the hotel structure was amazing. however, inside it was not properly managed, with very less facilities. *the view was awesome *you have to walk the slope to reach the hotel
room like a inconceivable space ,beyond my imagine, huge bedroom, large living room , turkey shower room add a massage bathtub, open the door you can see the stars and valley
Everything that has been advertised on the website was not delivered. Hotel room was mediocre considering we were the only guests in the hotel it shocked me that they just didn't care. In extreme winter they didn't provide heaters and no quilts and comforts to sleep. Plus there was cold water running in the bathroom, when we complained they just didn't bother. In fact we felt very unsafe here and the staff which comprised of two boys abused us after we checked out saying "fuck off you are out of our property" we were two gals traveling and I ask booking.com to take resp
The friendly staffs, room.great shower
Internet was poor and hot water did not work in the morning. Heating in the room only work certain periods. No extra blankets or pillow in the room.
Location was good can park car and walk down town. Breakfast was verygood. Nice view and lighting at night. Would stay again.
More light at the bathroom
I would like to thank Mr Shulyman and Typhor for their hospitality ..i like the place ..a home far from home
- Breakfast variety should be improved - Internet quality should be improved.
+ Good Location + Kind labor who do their best for your comfort + Free drink ( wine or tea) at hotel restaurant in evening. + Clean rooms with wonderful sight.
Comfort of the bed.
Different experience of staying in a cave. Hospitality. Location. Convenience of joining tours/activities. Stove/Fireplace.
Clean Near to historical places Turkish bath is good
We booked a room in the hotel because balcony and tea/coffee maker were listed in the room description. The room did not have a lot of amenities listed including balcony, tea/coffee maker, and safe deposit box. The room door and windows was opening in a shared terrace with tables/chairs. Since there was no A/C we had to open the windows and was no privacy. We went to the reception and asked why the room does not have what they described but he made different excuses and was very offensive in his talk. At the end he told us, very rudely, if you don't like it get out of here! My experience, just stay away from them!
Breakfast was O.K. but limited in options.
The owner of the hotel was friendly and kind. When my son came down with gastroenteritis he provided a driver and is own car to take us to the nearest hospital. The driver stayed with us nearly three hours, took us to a pharmacy, and brought us back to hotel. I expected/wanted to pay Ramadan, the owner, he refused. He said the driver worked for him and it was his car. He did let me tip the driver--that is all. Extraordinary.
The room didn't look cleaned well, since we found some used plaster on the floor and other things clearly would have been seen if it was cleaned properly. Shower head was broken.
Great Location, hot water was constant and it was nice. Bathroom was spacious. Its a nice experience to be staying in a cave, while you would be dreaming of it when you are hiking !
I like the warm hospitality from the hotel owner and the great scenary. The deluxe room was fantastic!
Breakfast is the same every day and is a rather half-hearted affair with emphasis given to range/selection rather than quality. Could definitely be improved. The other minor issue was communication. Trying to arrange or request anything slightly off the "main script" was harder than it should be for this kind of hotel. These are minor points for an otherwise excellent hotel, but attention to these details would turn an 8.3 rating into a 9.0 rating I'm sure!
Loved the hotel and it's location, which is near the top of a hill 100m from sunset point. The rooms all open to an outdoor patio where you can sit, sip a beer and view the rest of Goreme below you. Contrary to the listing, all rooms have WiFi access though this can be weak or slow at peak times. Very comfy bed too!
I loved all .especially the owner that gave us all the atention and help us sooo much for bringing the willchair for my wife that i had forgotten in Istanbul by bus. He treat me and my family like his own. Thank you so much and defenetlly i will recommend this place for my friends.
Breakfast not so good. In Turkey you think you can get real juice for breakfast.
Living in a cave is special and nice.
Horrendous manager with bad energy. Badgered us constantly about booking tours and hot air balloon rides with him. Every time we entered the hotel, he would dart out intercepting us before we entered our room.
Great location. Attractive cave hotel.
Staff was rude
on the beginning personel seemed to be nice, but when some problems appeard personel made nervous very quickly. It's good to know that standard rooms are not cave rooms. some things like toilet cistern or shower need to be repair
rooms are very big, clean, comfortable and good equipped. breakfest was very good. it was possible to take a shower befor check-in after all-night journey
- Bed & bedding were not comfortable - Staff had limited english, + but it did not prove too problematic with google translate on their computer - Third-party services they arranged had to be paid in cash, + but they took lira, euro, and dollars
excellent breakfast! + Overall very cool cave hotel + Great view of the city + Jacuzzi tub in room was great + Made all tourism arrangements for us, very easy + Transit from Kayseri airport was very reasonably priced (arranged by Spelunca)
