friendly staff. large enough room.
It just did not live up to its star rating, and not the least to the high price. The bed was small, the air condition noisy and the breakfast buffet minimal and boring. The doorknob to the toilet came of on the second day, the toilet roll was placed on the floor and there were none of the small extras or feeling of luxury that one should have expected from the price. We had in part chosen it due to the garden, but it was never in use during our stay, all the chairs placedin top of tables and looking very inhospitable despite this being one of the hotels selling points.
Excellent location Somewhere to relax other than in the bedroom Friendliness of staff They were so helpful
break fast could be bettar
We loved the view from the rooftop cafe and the friendliness of the staff who couldn't have been more helpful
We really enjoyed the homeliness of this hotel and found little not to our taste
Great location near the hippodrome and Blue Mosque etc. friendly reception staff with English and very helpful. Large room (we booked a room for 4 plus an extra bed). Air conditioned room which was perfect after a hot day walking round the city. Breakfast on the roof was a great view towards the sea.
Some basics not right given the price is pretty premium - no bedside lights, bathroom needs updating although large, powerful shower was good if a little scruffy. Nowhere to hang your clothes - very odd. Breakfast was basic and coffee poor.
We traveled with 3 little kids and booked the cave room. There is a beautiful courtyard where my kids loved to play. The breakfast was plentiful, and we had a great view of the sea and the city. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel itself is 5 minutes away from all the major tourist sights in Istanbul, which was important for us. There was hot water and wifi. The room was a little bit dusty, but everything else compensates for that. It is large, with enough space for the three extra beds for the children.
The friendly reception staff and the location.
The awful smell from the shower water. The fridge did not work, neither its replacement. No coffee making facilities. The inflated cost of a room with a view.
The staff was extremely kind and was able to give us perfect advice for our plans in Istanbul. What we enjoyed most was the court garden, a wonderful place to relax.
None to be mentioned.
very convenient location to see the old city. Nice staff. Very kind. He allowed us to leave the luggage for a week to travel other cities.
The family room was a bit small for the price. A little difficutl location for a cab driver to find...small alley...
Nice hotel, excellent location in the centre of the old city nearby the main sights, very friendly and helpful English speaking staff, amasing sea view terrace upstairs.
The acting Mosque nearby (night service was heard very loud, however, suppose it applies to every location as the Mosques are everythere in the city).
The hotel had a perfect location - within close walking distance to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and other must -see sights. Also very close to two metro stations which made getting anywhere in the city (even all the way back to the airport) super easy and cheap. Its right near the water's edge so the view from the rooftop restaurant is gorgeous. The hotel employees were very warm and helpful - helping us get to a great hamam, making us feel at home, etc. The bed was very comfy, and the rooms were very cute- decorated with Turkish rugs, art, etc. I highly recommend the Stone Hotel.
Can't think of one thing I would improve upon, honestly. Great experience.
Excellent location with excellent staff who guided well and tried their best possibilities. They are going to last stage for your comfort.
Mini bar is not good and fridge not working at all some time we are facing for hot water in the bathroom.
great location, helpful staff, lovely terrace and garden for breakfast or relaxing
Mr.Aziz, the manager, was an amazing person. All hotel staff without exception were very nice, polite, helpful..Staff were the best thing in the hotel. You will really enjoy how they deal with you. Sometimes We delayed in Breakfast time. Never said time is over. All smiling all the time. Even the cleaner smile for you. I booked for 4 days and stayed 9 days. They charged me same the booking price although price increased. Also when Paid by dollar they didnt overcharged me like what other hotels do. Mr.Aziz chrged me according to internet rate...I really appreciate that Hotel was very clean. I traveled with my little 1 year old daughter. She was enjoying in the room without any doubts of touching things because I was feeling that they take care about cleanness very well. The location was the best just 3 minutes walk to see hagia sofia and sultan ahmet mosque. It was amazing feeling when you wake up and go out and feel the history once you go out from hotel. Breakfast was good and have some verity although it was the same everyday. Honestly, It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I highly recommend it. افضل فندق زرته. نظيف جدا وافضل ما فيه الموظفين اخلاقهم عالية جدا قريب جدا من المزارات السياحية وايضا امينين لا يخدعوك عند الدفع.. ارشح هذا الفندق بشدة
In fact there was nothing bad. What I will write here is just to be better then the best. In fact in my visits to other hotels I have never written such things because there was so many negative things that what i will write here never be in consideration.. because I like the hotel, and I like Mr.Aziz the manager, I want give some notes to improve more and more: 1-I have asked them 2 times to guide me to the locations I wanted to visit. For a budget limited visiter like me , I need to know how to go by public transport. They didnt have such information and told me any taxi will take you to there. I Know that, when I ask how to go somewhere I mean how to go either walking or by public transport..They have to increase their knowledge about different bus and metro routs so they give accurate information. 2-They have problem in hot water system. sometimes coming very hot and if you open the cold just little bit it comes cold. they have to solve this problem 3-Braskfast: it w as good, tasty and there was many options including fruits and everything. But, everyday was the same you will feal bored after some time. In fact all hotels were like this but they want to be better I have one suggestion. they can keep their standard food always same, but everyday they add something and change it next week. For example, Saturday burok, Sunday homlet, Monday Donner, and so on then next week they repeat the same same schedule again. Most visitors they stay just 3-4 days so they will feel everything they have something new. 4-The original price is expensive. the hotel was the very good compared the amount I paid ($75) per night, but if I had to pay the original price, it was expensive, you can go for higher star rated hotel. It was just suggestion to be better. I hope next time I visit them I see they have applied it. Thanks
Good location, good price ,friendly and helpful staff
Location very good for main tourist spots
No tea making facilities in the room
the friendliness of the staff, always ready to help and the very good location.
lack of at least a chair in the room.
very close to the blue mosque and the aya sophia. the staff is very helpful and you can always ask them about good food and interesting side's that you would normally not find in a traditional tourist guild.
be aware that the hotel is located next to an active mosque that starts at 4 in the morning.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent location.
Location of Hotel, Kindness of Staff
Value for money ... not really as room too small
great location and price!
slightly difficult to find by cab the first time. stairs are very steep
Great location - just a few minutes walk to the Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi; friendly and helpful staff; excellent price.
The hotel was in a good location, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were helpful. I would recommend.
The hotel is great, I highly recommend it to everyone. Especially, if you are a couple and if you plan a romantic getaway at Istanbul. Location is great, just 5 minutes on foot to Blue Mosque. Staff is very friendly and helpful. On the roof there is a nice sea view restaurant, we had a great dinner there by arrival.
Very close to everything. Great view from the room. Wonderful terrace on the roof. Exceptional cuisine in the restaurant.
Breakfast was not perfect but not bad
