With natural stone walls, Sakli Konak is located in Uchisar, a typical Cappadocian village. It features a terrace where traditional hookahs for smoking flavoured tobacco are served free of charge.

Very helpful stuff especially Done, thank you for everything. The view and the involvement was great.
Though it's not hotel issue it just bad public transportation, or taxi..
Hotel owner Murat considers every guest not as a client but as his friend. It was a bit like coming home here. Great location and views, enormous well decorated cave room, great breakfast, clean etc but the best were the quality time with Murat! He made us even free dinner and free walk through rose valley w him as personal tourguide! I recommend this hotel 100% to anyone visiting cappadocia and wanting a personal experience.
Murat the owner was excellent along with his very helpful staff. Murat took us on two hikes voluntarily and was an excellent guide. The hotel has stunning views, lovely rooms and decor. I agree with all the positive comments made by others and highly recommend the Taka-ev. Murat mentioned he is closing for 5 months to make further improvements, so I imagine it will be absolutely fabulous when the hotel re-opens.
Lovely spacious room with view of Pigeon Valley. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Just about everthing. Top marks go the staff - you could not ask to be better looked after. Excellent suggestions are provided as to what you might want to do in the time available - you will even have the opportunity for a guided walk with other guests through the red/rose valley at no cost - a route that could not be done without a guide. Quite simply the staff will go out of their way to help. The view from our room and from the terrace is also amazing. I could not recommend this place more highly.
I liked it all - I even got use to all the steps!
We stayed 4 days in the cave suite with a wonderful view over the Cappadocia landscape and morning balloons and views of the sunsets. It was a 2 room suite with a four piece washroom. The staff helped with all our needs and baked lovely goodies for the ample breakfast. The owner was a warm, generous man who introduced us to the area through walks in the valleys and his knowledge of this unique area. Ushisar is a small village with access to the valley hikes and panoramas. We felt part of the TakaEv family by the time we left and would recommend the entire experience.
Panoramic view of Uchisar Valley, personalised attention by owner / manager Murad (enjoyed a walk with him into the Rose Valley), good restaurants within walking distance.
we loved staying at takaev. Murat, the owner, is a great man
Service Room Breakfast
When we arrived the owner, Murat Sünber, told us to make it our home and that is what it felt like. We did not get one of the "view" rooms but there are wonderful, light, comfortable public spaces in addition to the terrace, all with expansive views over the valleys. Hanging out in the public spaces helped us meet some of the other guests, who were also lovely. The rooms and the whole place are scrupulously clean, each room has a fridge, free tea and water area valuable all day, there is free wifi, the staff is attentive, professional, helpful and not intrusive. Mürat is incredibly attentive and generous, a real gentleman who goes out of his way to be helpful. He leads hikes through the nearby valleys and gives great advice on sights to see. If you make reservations for the ballooning, the bus picks you up and delivers you to the hotel. Mürat is fluent in French, Italian and English as well as Turkish. Basically I cannot find enough praise for this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat as long as Mürat is running it (and as long as I can get up and down stairs).
Nothing I didn't like, but be warned it is built on the side of a hill. Be prepared to climb stairs.
The location, the rooms, the staff, the extras (great breakfast, spectacular view, daily hikes led by proprietor, other assistance in planning activities).
Very nice staff. So helpful in guidance. Actually they would help in anything they can. The room view is amazing.
Lady on the reception was very nice and extremely helpful. The owner was also great who provided guidance for all the activities in Kapadokia and also helped us plan our remaining days in Turkey. Nice friendly staff who carried all our heavy luggage 5 stories down and back up. Free rides down to Gorome. Free laundry. Free water.
Nothing to report.
Warm and friendly atmosphere. Kindness of Mr. Murat and all the staff: plenty of recommendations and suggestions. Nice room and bathroom. Cleanness. Breakfast on terrace with nice view. Water and tea always available for free.
What did I like? Everything basically. A room with a view it was looking out across the valley and beyond. The room itself had a boutique hotel feel but at a very reasonable price. Döne was very helpful and took myself and a few others hiking one afternoon. I was even able to practice speaking French with her. Uchisar is a great option as a place to stay in the region. Smaller than Goreme and much less touristy. I reckon a much better option.
So much friendly people are working there and the owner of the place is a super guide. They helped us to go and spend our time without losing a minute. Location is awesome. For sure, I will stay in this place again when I visit this city. Nothing bad to say. Do not hesitate to take it.
The hotel is based on the top of Uchisar whence you can appreciate how is beautiful the surrounding region. Murat, the owner, is a really kind person, helpful and pleasant. Every morning he starts from the cave hotel to have a walk in some valley with hotel customers. I heartily recommend you to go with him sometimes because he knows deeply the area and he can suggest you a lot of interesting site to visit. It's even great to chill out on the amazing terrace of the hotel simply drinking a turkish tea. I strongly suggest you to stay in Uchisar instead of Göreme because of the incredible view and it's also less tourist. At the same time from there is really easy and handy to reach the numerous Cappadocia beauty.
If there is a thing that you can't be missed in Cappadocia, Hotel Takaev is a must! The breakfast is so rich and you can enjoy all the drinks through out the day. Murat is so helpful and friendly, you can enjoy the hiking with him in the morning and everything is free. Also, there'a a lady who can help you to plan your schedule and give you advice. There's never a hotel I have ever been experienced like Takaev before. I highly recommended it and I'm sure you'll never be regret to stay at Takaev!
The fantastic view and the nice hospitality from the staff! Lovely walks through the valleys!
The staff were lovely. The owner was very passionate about Capadoccia and very knowledgeable. He even took several of us on a late afternoon/early evening hike in a valley to see the unique rock formations, a painted church, and the sunset.
Having to leave
Room was quite spacious and the staff was great even after I told them I will not be staying more than one night.
Rather pricey. Rooms are very damp to to the point that you can feel the wetness on the bed covers.
Great place to stay and visit Cappadocia! Very warm and hospitality for us who travel in Turkey first time! Thanks for the good time!
Warm and genuine staff with excellent local knowledge and enthusiasm, committed to ensuring a very special stay. Memorable hospitality. Great views from the cosy rooms and terraces, and a fabulous breakfast with home cooked pastries, etc. Uchisar is a really handy place to base yourself with walks from the foot of the hill and a quieter boutique feel. Lovely dinner and local wine on an amazing terrace at sundown at Siri restaurant down the street.
The hotel is nice, rooms are ok, but cannot say fantastic or excellent. The breakfast was nice, not more than that. The rooms are ok. Very big difference between each and every room, so it is difficult to say that all of them were good like the others. In general, nice place to stay.
nothing special to mention, but at the same time - nothing special to mention as very good or excellent. Nice place.
An incredible setting. A warm, caring culture. The owner/manager is a former guide in the area and willingly shares his knowledge to enhance your experience. Great breakfast. Excellent restaurants nearby.
Everything went exceedingly well.
