Overall, room and hotel were good and we would stay here again. However, there are some issues that the hotel needs to address to improve hospitality: the room could do with proper blinds or blackouts. Curtains in the room are really thin. The hotel charges extra for mini bar and safe, I find unusual to have to pay for mini bar. There were no safe in the room, you had to rent safe/lockers only available in the reception area. Breakfast was basic, but good enough, it could do with more fresh fruits and juices. Enjoyed the white fresh cheese style and rose jam they had for breakfast. It was a nice change to have rocket salad, tomatoes and cucumbers for breakfast. They also served an interesting combination of olives and feta cheese for breakfast which it did not seem very popular amongst the guests. The hotel seems to cater mainly for British people, not sure if even Turkish people have olives for breakfast.
We stayed in room 314 which was very spacious and had a lovely large terrace with sea sideview. Very comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobes/storages and large bathroom (great shower!). Housekeeping and breakfast staff were great and very friendly. It was our wedding anniversary and housekeeping left a heart shaped towel with garden flowers on the top of the bed, we thought it was quite a nice touch. Reception staff could had been better (not the warm Turkish welcoming we received in Istanbul), but they were helpful enough if needed. The location of the hotel is great. The majority of the hotels by the Oludeniz beach are noise due to all the bars and restaurants, but the Deluxe Blue Lagoon Hotel is one of the last ones away from the main street, which for us was great as it was less noise (loud music until no later than midnight) but still close by to the beach and services. We did not use the pool, but the pool area seemed cosy and quite relaxing.
