The hotel is located near sultanahmet square, staff were all helpful and willing to assist has really nothing much to provide comparing to other hotel i have been to but its considered fair if you hit the street all day long to explore the historical area. There was a laday called Esra, she was helpful and polite

Very small rooms and poor air condition in JUL AND AUG.restaurants down da street rip u off

Excellent hotel staff welcome and service. Super restaurant with nice wine and good food at the top floor with excellent views to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

All the staff especially the guest manager (Esra) are very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is located in a street which you can find many restaurants and bars around with just 5-10 minutes walk to Sultanahmet. We have booked a double room with a crab for our 3 y/o boy. They gave us a family room without extra charge!! The buffet breakfast is great.

Although it is not about the hotel, it is somehow far from Taksim and the modern shopping centers if you are looking for!

The Hotel is located in the Sultanamet area, close to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Topaki Palace. The staff were very professional greeting us on arrival, responded promptly to our requests and a number of them farewelled us on the street when we departed. (We only stayed one night) We received an upgrade to a suite which was spacious, well presented and had views over the water. The hotel is located on a street full of restaurants so you are spoilt for choice when it comes to dinner.

The bar area on the roof is fairly small and however it has nice views. The complimentary drink voucher given to us on arrival turned out to cover only soft drink.

Great location in Sultanahmet. Friendly desk staff, attractive lobby and decor. Good breakfast selections.

We were 2 couples traveling together. The hotel had overbooked so the first night both couples were bumped to another hotel, that the manager said he found my searching for availability online. That hotel had a cigarette smoke smell everywhere and mold in the showers (plus the strangest decor I've ever seen). The Byzantium did give us an upgraded room (very nice) the next night, but the experience was not a good one overall.

The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a great selection of traditional and western food selections. The room we stayed in was small but well appointed with modern bathroom and bed furnishings. The street is lovely with lots of restaurants and cobble stones, within easy walking distance of everything.

This was a really great hotel with a very central location for the Blue mosque and other places of interest in the old quarter. We dis not get to the spa but were offered a 1 hour session for free. The Wifi was good and the hour spent on the roof top terrace especially good. The restaurant breakfast had everything one could have wished for. Overall we wanted to return to this hotel.

A plug for the washing basin would have been very useful since all travelers need to do some washing. And at breakfast perhaps a few buns or fruit to take along for lunch!

The Byzantium Hotel is in excellent location and within walking distance to Topkapi Palace, St.Sophia, Blue Mosque and all other tourist attractions...

There was an unpleasant smell in basement, A/c was not working properly.

Location was excellent. Walking distance to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Nice breakfast. Great view from the restaurant at the top.

Wifi was very poor. Disconnected in a minute. I had to stay another hotel for the 1st night due to double booking. The voice from Blue Mosque woke me in early morning.

The hotel was very well located. In one of the main streets for bars and restaurants, very lively and literally 5 minute walking from the main attractions. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very client-focused and attentive.

It might be a bit pricy. I think it is worthy dropping them a line to try to get a discount, in special if you are going to stay for several days (more than four). I booked the double room (not economy fare) as it was saying it had city views, but I believe it does not make any different. We got a room off the main street or Bosphorus view, so I got a bit disappointed there. The Internet was ok when it worked, but it didn't work for three days out of four (this probably was bad luck though...).
