Excellent location with a tram stop right on the doorstop allowing you to vist a wide range of locations in central Istanbul. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and were able to visit most of the tourist and shopping sites without haveing to spend a great deal of time and money on taxis A very small number of items were missing from the room for example there was no printed instructions about how to use the safe, batteries were missing from the remote controls for the TV and air conditioner and there was a leak in the shower unit in the bathroom, These were small but irritable points which could easilty have been checked and rectified prior to the arrival of the guests. |

The staff were courteous, helpful and amazingly had adapters for our laptop then! Location is superb considering it is very near to Sultanahmet/Eminonu which we were top on our planned list before. Breakfast was not too good though (not much choice), shower heads and hot/cold water mixers didn't work well in both our rooms. Our rooms were facing the cemetry/graveyards! |

Hotel did not match exoectatuions as raised by photos and commentry. Room was large enough and bed large and comfortable but room was old, tired and little things that were "rough" or unfinished. Took long to check in (more than an hour as the room was not ready even at 4 pm). We were booked in foir 4 days but checked out after one night. Nothing really wrong but just did not meet expectations or "promiose" |

Great Location. The tram stops right at the front door *Gulhane*. Leaving the airport, go downstairs to the metro, it costs 1.50 TL. Take it about 5-6 stops, the stop starts with a "Zey...". Then exit and get on the tram, another 1.50 TL to Old town. The hotel staff were very, very helpful and there is a lift. Great price! Other have commented about the daily breakfast. We enjoyed it, yes it is basic, but so is 99% of the other places in Instanbul. You can walk 100 meters and find 50 different resturants, from sidewalk vendors to nice places to eat. Go to Istanbul it is great! On our 4th day, water leaked through the A/C and when we told the front desk they immediatly moved us to another room, actually a deluxe room at the same price. |

We choose the Constantine for the value, but were amazed by the great location and helpful staff. The man at the reception desk, named Ali, was most attentive to our needs and ensured that our honeymoon stay was enjoyable. He even arranged for a little "Honeymoon" surprise in our room for our arrival, which was very thoughtful and unexpected. Also the location in front of the Gulhane tram stop makes it a great base for exploring Istanbul. There are only two things we can think of which could be improved upon. The water pressure for the hot water in the shower is low, and they don't have "Do Not Disturb" signs to hang from the doorhandles. |

this hotel is centrally located, in the historical side of Istanbul. I liked the hotel stuff, they all were very friendly and helpful expecially Ali. The room was large and the bathroom excellent., The cleaning of the room was not all days made properly. Breakfast was substantial but not many options for people loving cakes and sweets. |

The location was excellent. Most of the staff were pleasant and welcoming. The room was very small - would not have been comfortable for a long stay. The bathroom was not very clean. We aired our complaints to one of the staff who did not appear to take them too seriously. Also, there was a some 'hard sell' on tours etc when we arrived. |

Hotel staff's flexibility (the room was changed to a bigger one on request and with no extra fee, Ali and Korsan from reception desk were extremely helpful on all the occassions), very good localization in Sultanahmet, close to the most important tourist attractions (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and right opposite Topkapi Palace), clean and tidy rooms (cleaning service, incl. towels and bed sheets change every day), tasty breakfasts, good value for money smell of naphthalene, a little bit monotonous breakfast menu |

Lovely triple room with clean, comfy beds and efficient air-conditioning. Good breakfast provided. Right in the centre of things and tram stopped outside which was brillant. A leak under the bath provided a pool for little black worms to swim in. Dining room was a little tatty and the ceiling leaked, due to a burst pipe, on our last day. |

The staff went out of their way to help us. Really liked the great attitude of the bell boy - Mehmet Ali. Receptionists were chatty as well with the guests. Overall a good staff attitude. Yes, houskeeping standards are poor. The white comforter for the bed was stained badly. The blanket provided was more like an oversize kitchen dishcloth - not comfy at all unless a sheet is placed under it. The Bathroom was not cleaned properly and i used to scrub the bathtub myself every evening. When it rained, the room used to flood a little and soak the curtains. My husband was annoyed that the TV only had one channel in English - Fashion TV. Room floors were not swept everyday and the corridor floors were swept on alternate days and never mopped. Looked untidy. |

The reception stuff was very friendly and speaking Romanian, the position of the hotel situated right in the tram station in the heart of the historical city Even if the hotel was recently renovated the constructors did not pay attention to details, so the bathroom had quality products inside but they did not looked so well because of the mounting solution |
