This hostel is perfect for tourists. -With reasonable price(actually cheaper than any other places around Turkey) -Very friendly staffs "Erdi" who do reception working and "Ismail" who serve for breakfast. -I stayed in dormitory room and it was really cool interior with warm inside. -And I was surprise how the staff was passionate with his working. This hostel has full of contents for the tourist. Recently, they make a newspaper for fun and interesting information about this season. -you can easily solve laundary problem here in cheap price. -you can also get infinite free towel. So, I recommend this hostel when you are staying in Goreme!!
Staff are really nice and helpful. Location is perfect. Room is clean. Bathroom is good because water is warm.
No free cold water to drink.
When you get the lay of the land, the hostel is less than 10 minutes away from the only bus depot in town. The town is really small and easy to navigate. Meeting dorm mates was great to sight see, the hostel makes great effort in setting up tours and services. Breakfast changed daily with a mix up of eggs and other stuff.
Cleaning lady was annoying. Checkout is 10 am, and she would leave the dorm room door open letting cold air in. She would be loud, turn on the lights, and make beds while people were still sleeping. She did this 2/4 days I was there. 6 of us were awake after her 8 am cleaning spree.
Hotel staff was well informed and very good. They informed us about all the activities that could be done in Goreme and how to visit nearby areas. Due to some reasons we got stuck in Ankara and couldn't reach goreme on time. Hotel staff were helpful in shifting our reservation by one day
Location, cleanliness, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, wi-fi, good price.
Our private bathroom didn't have hot water for the shower.
Great location, comfy beds, big rooms
The snorer in our room
Rooms were cool, not really a cave but sort of dug into the ground. Close to the middle of town. Very clean room and bathrooms. Breakfast was OK but not great.
WiFi was rubbish. Most of the staff don't speak English.
Really interesting hostel in an interesting place. Huge rooms with plenty of bathrooms. Clean and chill
Location and room was nice as was shown on booking.com. Ours was double with attached bathroom. Has heater and was good for this time in Oct. Breakfast is a sufficient plater. Reception v helpful with various kind of booking.
Be prepared for packed food if arrived late. Not available hot water for coffee/tea etc. Can get bottled water only.
Location near bus station. Just only 5 mins walk. There was a free pick up service when you arrive bus station. Maid cleaned often so that room and toilet were in good condition all the time.
Staff did not friendly and helpful.
The Dorm Cave by Travellers has fantastic staff, willing to help with any questions. They are great with email communication. Breakfast was nice and the facilities are always clean. Dorms are spacious and beds are comfortable. A very convenient location (although its a small town, everywhere is convenient). Definitely recommend the Dorm Cave
The only very very small problem was the wifi - it didn't work everywhere on the premises - but definitely worked in the bedrooms.
We checked in hotel double room No. 4 at noon on Sept. 27, and prepaid 60 euros in cash. On the morning of Sept. 29 at around 3 am, my wife was woken up by extremely itching swellings that spread over her face, neck, back, arms, legs and hip. We counted around 40 - 50 swellings in total. We immediately checked the bed and found 5 - 6 bedbugs which had just bitten us. We squashed some of them at once and left blood stains on the bed sheet. Then we took photos of the other fleeing bedbugs by our phone camera. At around 9 am, we complained to the hotel administrator Miss Ozge about the horrible situation. After examining the stained bed sheets and the dead bedbugs, she deeply apologized and chastised the cleaner who was responsible for cleaning our room. We asked Miss Ozge for a solution, but she said she could not settle the issue because she wasn't the manager. After attempting to call the manager, she told us that the manager was still asleep and asked us to solve the problem by ourselves on the hotel website. In addition, while we were waiting for Miss Ozge, we were extremely disappointed by how the cleaner did her job. Within only 1 minute, she used the very same brush to clean the toilet seat, the inside of the toilet bowl, and the bathroom floor, without using any detergent. The fact that the cleaning staff did not do their jobs properly explained the rampant presence of the bedbugs, and the reason why the hotel had such unbearable sanitary conditions.
I arrived late at 3:00am and had a balloon trip booked to depart at 4:45am, so felt lucky that the shower rooms were located outside the dorms, allowing me to take a shower before the flight without waking up my roommates.
The breakfast was fairly basic.
Rooms were warm, beds comfy. Wifi worked well. Location close to town, and the staff were helpful with booking trips & tours.
Having to cross the open courtyard to get to the bathrooms / toilets. It would be truely horrible in winter. Also, it was very difficult to keep your towel/clothes dry while showering as there was no shower curtain & a lack of hooks to hang things up and out of the way. The bathrooms/showers really let the place down.
I was very please to stay in this hostel since from the start. I arrived in Goreme bus station on 6 am, there was a hostel staff picked me up. I was very surprised the hostel staffs directly brought me to my room and allowed me to check in without additional charge (it was around 6.30 am). The room and the toilet are very clean and comfortable. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. I strongly recommend this hostel.
Location Comfort and design of single rooms
I liked the dorm rooms they were very spacious in the 16bed dorm, also the beds were comfy. nice seating up stairs.
The breakfast wasnt really my thing but it was good for your average turkish breakfast. the showers also lacked in pressure but over all good. wi fi average good at times bad at others
The location was great and the atmosphere of the place really nice ! We paid only 10 euros for a dorm. I would définitely recommend the place.
The staff is nice but seems young and not very experimented. Their english is not really good but enough to understand.
They had no concept of "reservation" - we made a reservation of 3 tours a month earlier, but they didn't confirm it so that we almost didn't make the balloon flight. Even though it was their fault, they didn't have any intension to make apologies - it was the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. Furthermore, little rocks fell from the ceiling and it was not quite a comfortable place to sleep....I really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
+location +calm area
-rude staff -booked a 4 bed room and got moved to a 18 bed room in the middle of out stay -no keys to the rooms
Good wifi, free towels. Toilet was clean.
I saw more than 6 people overbooked, including myself. I had to change my room to the mixed dorm, but they didn't noticed until the check-in. I even think that they jus make reservation until there's no bed left in the whole dormitory, no matter what room we choose in the first place.
- Nice staff, very interactive - Good advice - Good tours suggestion - Free supplied of towel
- Dusty - Suggest to draw a smoking area
clean good location
Good location. Clean. Good value for money. Friendly staff
