Not busy street but close to places to go

The hotel is pricey for what you get. We asked to have our room changed because the first one was terribly uncomfortable and the paper wall was torn in many places. Then We had a room that had the shower not working properly and although we told the manager they won't get it fixed. The flush was malfunctioning too. The light in the rooms is not good enough if you want to read and also wifi is difficult to reach if you are staying in rooms facing backwards. Honestly, I expected much more for what I paid for, but we had a nice stay anyway.
The location is excellent. Just a block away from the cistern and Hagia Sofia. Tram stop is just a couple of blocks away. Full of restaurants nearby and plenty of markets and stores to buy souvenirs. Breakfast is tasty and there is a wide variety of choices.

i did not like that was a bit cold during the night and the air-conditioning did not work. the sound insulation was not that great.
i likeed very much the location and the way that the room looked. the morning view, as i had breakfast, made my day, a very nice way to start the day.

Breakfast weak, poorly (in my opinion) of most cheap quality. kitchen staff friendly but completely inexperienced in the means serving breakfast. every morning (especially Sunday) I found them unprepared for receiving customers.
an extremely well positioned hotel, close to all the sights of historical center, in a quiet area. Attentive and helpful staff, spacious and clean rooms, the bathroom clean and well equipped. Breakfast room on the top floor provide a great view.

The main entrance was defective.
The room was big. The Location was walking distance from a few historical place of interests. The Tram are near the hotel which you can used it to cross the Golden Horn and reached the Galata Tower without the hassle of train transfer. The hotel offer late check-out.

Bad sides: The lobby is the main negative side of this hotel. It is small, badly lit,and empty of life although it has a fireplace and two sets of comfortable sofas, and a small library. The second is the lighting in the rooms where we stayed. The rooms stay badly lit even when it depends on the lamps that are fixed in the ceiling. You can open the curtains in daytime and its perfect but then you dont have privacy. All lights work from one button...so you cant leave one side light..so its totally dark when you put off the light. We used to keep the bath door open to win a side light when we went to sleep. there isn't a reading lamp either.
We are a 50 and a 55 couple. We traveled for leasure. The hotel is a small one with 20 rooms , a Hammam (Turkish spa) in the lower floor,a top view breakfast hall which turns into a dinner hall at the 6th floor, standard rooms that have basic facilities that answered our needs, a jacuzzi and a super clean bath floor and basin etc. You will find 2 pairs of cloth-made slippers ready in the closet and a hairdryer in the bath so you dont need to carry these aling with you. The breakfast that we had in our 5 day stay included 4 kinds of cheese, two yogurt, eggs in 3 forms, one kind of sausages, 2 kinds of olives, 3 kinds of vegetables,3 kinds of coffee, all types of tea, cold and hot milk, cornflakes, 4 kinds of bread, honey, tihina, jams, olive oil and lemon. The view from the sixth floor is facinating. You can see the Bosphor and much of the city and the Ayasophia museum and mosque and much more. The 6th floor is rather the roof of the hotel which is covered with glass. This lets a lot of light and sun to enter...which we enjoyed a lot.

The first night some other guests were extremely noisy. When I raise this with hotel staff they urged me to contact them if this happened again. They would have been happy to deal with it.
Travelling by myself, I was impressed by how safe and hassle-free staying at the Istanbul was. I recommend the shuttle-bus service from/to the airport. Fixed price. The hotel staff were very helpful. The location is fantastic: the underground cisterns are just down the street. From the restaurant (moderately priced & good food) a view of Agia Sofia to the left, the Blue mosque to the right.

The taxi driver stole my wallet on the day of arrival
Very nice view from the panoramic roof restaurant

The main door is closed
Location is good. Breakfast is delicious The view of roof is wonderful! !!

When we stayed there, the main entrance door was closed for maintenance and we had to go through a travel agency office to enter the hotel Which was not comfortable. Because there were not many customers at the time we were staying there, the quality of breakfast was not great.

The hotel is walking distance to most of the centers of interest for visitors. Calm and quiet with daily cleaning and linen changes. Restaurant offers a good panoramic view of the area.

Breakfast, location and view were fantastic.

Only one big disappointment - breakfast. Unpleasant staff, working slowly, a lot of what you need to make themselves, such as cutlery and pick table. Although the terrace picture perfect, the food the same every morning, very traditionally, poor assortment in the Turkish breakfast traditions. Products not fresh, sometimes - very outdated, except bread. Dried sausages, scrambled eggs if you want ask for that fried, boiled eggs though is always there. Sometimes fry with egg baguette. All of these products are often cold, very bad taste. Has white and black bread. Coffee from the machine very bad, do not have Turkish coffee, tea reason. Cheese and meat a very small, multi-species, but not fresh, poor taste, tomatoes and cucumbers not fresh, wilted sometimes absent, no salads. Olives are good. Turkish yogurt was served always, breakfast cereals too, traditional sweet jam, milk, water. Juice is not very tasty. There are pieces of halva.
The hotel is ideally located off-season price really low, I do not know what is price in season. Location: 2 minutes from the hotel walk to the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Sultan Ahmet Park, 5 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque, Sultan Hurrem Hamam, Topkapi complex gate, the church of Hagia Irene, Gülhane Park, Gülhane or Sultanahmet tram stop, Sirkeci metro station, 10 min - to Mosaic Museum, Nuruosmaniye Mosque, Grand Bazaar, 15-20 minutes walk to Sirkeci train station, the New Mosque, Eminonu port, Galata bridge, Egyptian Bazaar, Hagia Sophia Little Mosque. View through a window and a French balcony to in front house. The room is very spacious and can accommodate three people, lighting the room a little small, there are minibar and a small fridge. There is no welcome gifts. Bed very comfortable, good mattress, the room clean and newly renovated, large closet but little shelves. There is a TV, but it did not work for several days and the staff did not repaired up. Only one rosette in room! The room appears to be safe, the hotel has a camera everywhere, in the corridors as well. There is an elevator. Administrators helpful staff, propose and outsource the desired excursions, tickets to events, provide other information, always! Clean the rooms every day, to maid should leave a few lira, cleans well, bring the item, the constantly adds bathroom accessories, bedding changes. Her very thanks. Staff speak English well, some - Russian. There is a spacious lounge below. At the top of the terrace a great view, there can be climbed at any time and enjoy the day in Istanbul. At hotel has a small private hammam, which offers services at the same prices as in Istanbul and elsewhere - if negotiation is not busy your can get a discount. Traditional Turkish hammam program without oil massage costs 40 euro per person. Masseurs excellent, very good doing massage, you will be sure to satisfy. I've tried - and thank them and a guy who take discount.

The room is not sound proof. Noise from the roof top restaurant and the sound of water sort of licking in between concrete walls was so annoying. Water pressure for showering very low and at times it stop completely. Heater in the bathroom not working. Spread of breakfast can be better but view from the roof top restaurant were amazing .
Fantastic location. Able to see fireworks on new year's day from our room balcony. Very attentive and helpful staffs. Big and comfortable room for 3 people. Many shops around for food. Walking distance to major attractions such as Blue Mosque, Haiya Sophia, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar ,Spice Market, Islamic Museums, Basilica Cistern and more. Nice restaurants for dinning in as well.

Breakfast didn't have much too choose from but the quality was good. The windows in the bedroom didn't close properly but we didn't have much trouble as the heating worked perfectly.
Loved the room. We had amazing views of the Bosphorus and Hagia Sophia. The bath tub was a plus! Just what you need after a long day walking around the beautiful city.

New years eve arrangement not worth the money, bad food and program. Top floor restaurant, expensive and not clean in my opinion. Breakfast, bad... only some cheese and other wierd stuff that doesn't belong as a Breakfast.
Close to almost everything in the old area of istanbul. Decent rooms Regular cleaning of rooms Helpful staff
