In the heart of Istanbul’s historic district, Sultanahmet, this hotel is a few steps from the important landmarks such as Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern.

Location is exactly right with all attractions only a few steps away.
the bathroom shower did not operate correctly and was not very clean
Great location. Friendly, helpful staff with reasonably good English skills.
Curtain didn't cover the window completely so privacy from the street was a concern. The safe was not bolted to the wall. Anyone could have walked away with it, and it didn't work properly either.
Location is good (Note that car parking is not available, though) Staff is helpful, breakfast is good on rooftop) Bathtub is good and wide enough)
Air conditioner did not function properly. Water was dropping a lot, but they did not listen to us.
Our experience ticked all the boxes. Great location and accessible to tram lines. We had a very clean, quiet room that had magnificent views. Staff were helpful & friendly. We will stay here again!
The hotel is very close to all the major attractions and good restaurants. Good views of city from restaurant. Big rooms.
Terrible breakfast. Patchy wifi.
No wifi on my floor and staff was unable to resolve the issue. Quite expensive hotel compare to facility size and quality. Further while booking they confirmed that both rooms will be attached but when I went there they offered me totally separated rooms as they have no attached rooms in their hotel.
Location in the middle of the historic hood. 2 minute easy walk to Blue Mosque. Galata Bridge is downhill, but tram is not far and cheap. Bkfast buffet is ok. Nice view. Room and bathroom is big and clean. And quiet, even the street facing ones.
Not well known hotel, taxi had a hard time to find it from the airport (with taximeter 45 tl, approx 15euro). Best is you have a print out map. Early check-out time (12 noon). No facilities to shower or change (late evening flight back home). They were nice but all rooms were full.
The staff always tried to be helpful. The breakfast room had a beautiful view. Breakfast was okay with some western options. The locations was perfect, close to everything.
I picked this hotel and room because I wanted a balcony and tub. The "balcony was a fire escape. We asked when we came in if this was a balcony and he said yes, then we asked if we could go out there and he said "no, dangerous". That was a bit misleading I think. Still the view was nice. The tub wasn't really usable as the plug was broken and there was this weird black stuff in the corners around the tub (mold?). Didn't feel clean being in there. It just looks like they need to scrub it and put some silicon sealing around it. And the water pressure completely cut out a few times. Also the decor in the room was some weird 80's style. There were a lot of channels but only one in English, just news. The breakfast was okay but there was one lady running around doing everything and a guy who just stood there and watched her. If you asked him for some eggs or something he'd just scream for her and go back to standing there. She was very frustrated and a bit snappy but I can understand why. What is this guys job? Can't he help her out or is that just woman's work? Not cool. Also they seemed to not want you to order more than one egg. Not sure what the deal with that was.
We got the room with a tub and balcony, room was really spacious. But the two highlights from this hotel are: rooftop (really beautiful view with a good breakfast) and the location - walking distance from all major attractions: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Cisterns (street of the hotel) even from Grand Bazaar. The neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, fun place to stay and lots to see (day and night).
The only downside is the dark bathroom with no windows.
location is fantastic.for this price this hotel is one of the best.
the breakfast was very basic.
Great location in the old city Comfortable rooms with fast wi-fi Soundproof rooms with little disturbance from outside noise
Little hard to find on arrival
Location Price Room Space Wi-fi connectivity EVERYTHING
Size of the room was good :-)!
Couldn't get a non- smoking room :-(
Friendly staff. Big room. Beautiful view from Dining room.
Breakfast not ready at 7.30 am
Perfect location, attentive and helpful staff. Worth shopping around before booking tours or even considering doing some sights on your own rather than paying good $'s to tour groups. Main sights are within walking distance. Great rooms with nice street views but balconies are 'French' balconies and only standing space, no room to sit out on the balcony. Overall an enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.
Attitude of the tour information staff when confronted him with our tour bookings and being over priced. Misleading information regarding some of the sight seeing and costs.
is nice hotels clouse u agia sofia, grand bazar, clouse u tranvai station(sultanahmed) 3min. big room and badroom
Location and access, close to every attraction in the old town. Surrounded by resturants and cafes. Room spacious. Spacious bathroom. Inexpensive rates.
Rear rooms got no view at all.cleanness of bed sheet.TV satellite system is out of date.
Very nice and clean hotel, breakfast is good, amazing roof terace restaurant, polite staff. Very good location, 5 minutes walking to Hagia Sofia and Sultanahmed tram station. Sound-proof is OK, bathroom is very nice and big, I highly recommend this hotel
The rooftop restaurant with view and walkind distance to Grand Bazzar
As this was are first trip to Istanbul we arrived to a friendly reception at the Hotel Istanbul. This is a delightful boutique hotel in an excellent location within easy walking distances to museums, palaces and the grand Bazaar. The rooftop restaurant has one of the best views in Istanbul overlooking Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The food was excellent and staff delightful. Reception staff were extremely helpful and informative re tours etc.
We had perfect vacation. The staff was profesional, and very helpful. Brekfast was great, and the view is the best that you can get in this lovely city. If we come back to Istanbul, this will be again the place to stay!
I recommend this hotel to any and all persons who wish to have a good accomodation at a reasonable price in the heart of Istanbul's historical sector. This small hotel offered us all the necessary features together with the personal sense of 'being at home while away from home.' Our complements hereby to both its staff and management for the excellent care and attention we experienced during our 7 day/6 night stay.
Location to sites of interest and public transport was excellent.
Besides the "manager" staff could not speak English. No coffee bar in the room, had to be ordered from reception. No light switches at the beds. No shuttle service to Ataturk airport, could be ordered at additional cost. We used the Metro which was great.
A small hotel..excellent location for tourists...suitable for families..
