Hotel is ideally located in the very centre of the city making it easy to walk to all attractions around town. The staff is friendly and helpful fulfilling all that yoı may ask or need. Upon arriving at the hotel -a late check in around 10pm- we discovered that the rooms that I specifically booked are already taken. I had asked for rooms that are facing the front side of the hotel. The rooms at the back side are rather small -usually one side of a double bed faces the wall and the windows are tiny or there is none. The hotel also hosts a night club on the basement which is open on Fridays and Saturday nights until 3am which makes it impossible to sleep.I literally called the police around 1pm but without any success to cut down the noise since the venue is licensed to be open until 3am. I would suggest that you look into other options if you are visiting on weekends.

Great design, both for the room and the hotel as a whole. I love what they have done when renovating this building! A great mix of old and new. Good location.

The room was comfortable and well appointed, the desk staff were helpful, and the restaurant was quite good. The hotel car service helped us for a short trip out of town as well as getting us to the bus station.

It was a very interesting old building that had been sympathetically restored. It looked very interesting on the web-site and that is why I chose it, and I was not disappointed. It was comfortable and it was close to the town centre. The staff were all very friendly. I could not fault it.

Great location, nicely renovated old building. Whole night we listen the noise from the bar, whole morning we listened the cleaners noise! Rooms need serious sound isolation.

The hotel was in a beautiful building that has been restaurated with great taste. The location was perfect as well: walking distance to all the sites in the city centre. Staff was extremely helpful. Room around the courtyard can be a bit noisy early in the evening as guests are having dinner there. Also in the morning, typical hotel lobby music starts at 7:30 when breakfast starts being served.

Breakfast was very nice. It was continental but really had a lot of cheeses and rolls to choose from plus fresh fruit, olives, cereal and omlettes . The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean. size of room - exceedingly small, smoke in hall.. This is not for a handicapped person because although there is an elevator you have to go up at least 5 steps to get into the hotel.

Great front desk staff. Beautiful building. The Liwan is small and personal. We didn't like the breakfast buffet. The restaurant staff did not notice visitors' confusion. The guys on duty seemed to be there to service the buffet table rather than to anticipate and respond to needs. For that reason, I would suggest another breakfast place, not the hotel breakfast buffet. The one light dinner we had in the restaurant was very good.

Inside the hotel is completely charming. Real character. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing and modestly priced. The staff are incredible. I loved the place. Part of the charm of this hotel, the former home of a Syrian president, is the original tile flooring. It does make the hotel a bit noisy. Bring some foam earplugs. It is worth it!

The staff were wonderful at the Liwan Hotel. After driving our rental car from Cappadocia, we were not certain where the hotel was located (our map was not detailed enough). However, they gave us excellent directions to the cross street of the hotel, and then told us that they would meet us to direct us the rest of the way because of construction. We were warmly welcomed, and the service could not have been better. This hotel is strongly recommended.
