The location right off Istkilaal street, the main busy shopping street, as well as proximity to Taksim Square where you can catch the Metro. The rooftop bar Mikla is gorgeous. Good place to stay if it's your first time in Istanbul. The sheets had stains on them. The room is small but workable. The room service doesnt taste that good.

Having to wait for several minutes during checkout while the front desk "manager" had my minibar consumption checked, talking on walkie mode with the employee checking the minibar, with the telephone on loudspeaker mode, and everybody in the lobby listening to my minibar consumption. I will never come back to this hotel only for this reason.

saorry i will never stay at marmara the room was not that clean and there is bad smelkl coming from bath room and the sink is blckerd the hand of shower was broken and at last when isaid i dont want to stay they charge me what a shame. we are not happy . thank you

i liked the location, the free wireless internet in rooms (but it was kinda slow using the wifi, the cable is the best and it's all free of charge), i like their in-room menu (specially the salmon and spinach) and how they respond to my requirement, clean rooms and calm atmosphere. istiqlal street is 3 minutes away (if not less). i don't have any complaints a bout this hotel, but sometimes i feel the recieption guys aren't that welcoming but i guess it's a kind of the natural life style of turkish people, i don't mind about that at all but maybe few world travellers feels it's not welcoming. so it's a good experience i had.

Good comfortable bed and crisp sheets. Helpful reception staff. Good business facilities and wi-fi available thrOughout. Pool area was terrible. Photos were misleading as the pool is tiny and overshadowed by a huge grey wall. Insufficient wind protection and lack of space. Rooms were basic and boring. Breakfast lacked fresh tropical fruit selection. Location was wrong for a tourist, mikes from the main attrfactions.

We appreciated the location, near Istaklal and dozens of good restaurants. The staff was uniformly welcoming and helpful. Parts of the hotel were under construction, and it was noisy. We asked to change floors, and they graciously moved us to a room with a river view without increasing the price. Would like a hotel with a double rooms so we don't have to pay full price for a second room for our 18-year-old son.

The views across the city, Bosphorus and Golden Horn were fabulous. From our 15th floor room we could see everything. The location was perfect - straight out of the hotel and a short walk to Istiklal. Staff really lovely and helpful.

My room had an excellent view and was really comfortable. The hotel is very close to Istiklal but it does not get affected by the nightlife noise. Very good value for money. The lack of breakfast included on the room price.

The Marmara Pera's location is just perfect. Right in the city center. The staff is friendly, the room was just right fo a 1 night stay. The Marmara Pera seems to have problems with Air conditioning / Air Circulation. Even though we asked for a non smoking room the air smelled like we just smoked in there. We even woke up because of that. This has to be fixed
