It is so noising here
Excellent location, with very well-decorated hotel. The staff is helpful and in general speaks English well. The rooms are spacious, but not huge and the bathroom is well-appointed
The lack of attention to detail by housekeeping was not pleasant. Complimentary water wasn't replenished, used glasses weren't replaced, etc.
lobby staff not friendly, always new staff, always trainees in the lobby who take care of the guests. No recognition for the regular customers. Even if you stay in the hotel once a month or every 50 days they welcome you like an stranger, not like a regular guest. The hotel also needs some new towels!!!
the room (very quiet) and the spa facilities and the massage (was great!)
the very sweet juices at breakfast
Beset location in a beautiful city
Little bit dark in the lobby
Big room, big bathroom, good location
Very noisy at night because of the night club, The bathroom have some problems and every time we call some one to fix.
Very kind staff
TV was so small. I expected a better TV.

Location, location, staff friendliness
In nisantasi area, One of istanbul most class areas. and in front of city's mall. The hotel is beautiful, excellent staff, beautiful and comfort newly rooms.
-Small spa area and swimming pool. -smelly elevator -no view
Great facilities and helpful staff. Very comfortable room, with a high standard and in a nice location. Wifi in the room.
Our room had a malfunctioning HVAC system which meant that our room was freezing. However, the hotel staff quickly remedied the problem. If you are looking for an hotel to view the 'historical' part of town, you will have to take a few taxis. Not a huge problem as taxis are reasonably cheap, but something to be aware of.
I like that they urgrade us to sweet insted of the two room that we booked with the same price and without even asking.
They didnt respect our religion as muslims by removing the two painting with clear naked womens !!! And said its the hotel policy. Ps: they were removed before we come and taked back
It was my second time at Sofa Hotel and again I liked the location which is amazing.
what I didn't like was the very poor cleanliness of the rooms. actually, the house keeping staff didn't bother their selves and clean the room and all they did was to arrange the bids. I had to call the reception every night to complaint about that and the response was just very disappointing. I felt that the hotel is dying. you dunno who is the manager or a supervisor nor you don't see staff any where. they don't speak English very well or any other language. the quality of food during breakfast wasn't so good like other hotels. Honestly, the I wouldn't pay again to stay there and have this very bad service. there are very good hotels not too far from there with cheaper price and very impressive service
Location is good as long as you are not expecting a view. Staff helpful and polite.
The wi-fi in the hotel is seriously bad, do not go to this hotel if you are wanting to work on computer. The room had not window which was not mentioned on hotel listing. I was moved to a room with a window, this room was very dirty. I was moved for the 3rd time to a suite, again wifi was non existent.
The best and most convenient aspect of the hotel is its location. It has a mall right across the street, which includes a variety of shops including a pharmacy and a supermarket. Alongside this, the hotel is within close proximity to all the tourist sites. The second best aspect of the hotel are the concierge staff! They will go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. Specifically, Murat, was very kind, helpful and genuine every time we seeked help. If I was to come back to this hotel, it would definitely be due to the much help and guidance we received from the concierge.
- The hotel does not have any wheelchairs to provide to disabled guests. That's a major flaw. - Breakfast variety was horrible and the food did not taste good at all. (Our rate included breakfast, but after the first day, we asked the hotel to exclude the breakfast from our rate). A member of staff had willingly done so and asked what variety would we have liked to seen so they improve on this issue and the constructive criticism we've provided was well accepted! Good job on that! - Some rooms have no windows which means no direct exposure to sunlight. Other rooms have windows overlooking a Japanese garden which limits sunlight exposure. Other rooms which have windows (with a street view) might be bothersome if towards the lower floors of the hotel due to cars/traffic. - Walls were not soundproof, every night I was able to hear the music coming from Frankies (Restaurant/Lounge) located on the 8th floor. - No outdoor pool (indoor only).
Our room 201 was very noisy The widow glass was soft which not isolating the noise in the street They provide wherlchair with extra charge The tv is very small comparing yo room size and has only one arabic channel The bed is very high you meed to climb
Rooms, linens, location, cleanliness. Nice staff.
Staff though pleasant weren't helpful for restaurants and sites.
Excellent location and staff.
Beds are not very comfortable.
If you want a local laid back istanbul experience that is completely central, this place is it. Although I was here for only one night, the staff was extremely helpful. I had a bit of an issue with my credit card for payment and they were extremely helpful and completely understanding. I loved all the friendly faces at Sofa Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and provided lots of advice on where to dine, nearest shops and what to do. I will most likely come back to this hotel without a doubt. My room was immaculate and had a window that overlooked a beautiful waterfall in the centre of the hotel. Overall great experience to end my Turkish trip on.
Very close to alot of nice cafes and restaurants .and it's in one of the best shopping areas of Istanbul.
