The people who run this hostel are very friendly and helpful. I had a restful sleep it's in a quiet area. The cost of a double room is affordable. Room was very clean WiFi was good.
The free breakfast was plated
It is a reasonable back packers place but I have to wonder how it got an 8.1. It is clean, but average in other aspects. The family and staff are very friendly but I must add a negative comment.
We found Selcuk has a culture where travellers are seen as "walking cash". Even when booking a bus, despite being clear where we wanted to go, they only cared about booking us and overcharging. I was very disappointed when we arrived at the Pension as we were subjected to a moderate high pressure sales pitch for tours which we did not want or need. We were a captive audience. This experience almost spoiled our stay.
Very kind and helpful owner and staff
The staff were friendly and helpful including drop off at the ralway station Only a few minutes walk to the shops the bus and train station
There was no clothes hanging space and the shower needed a major overhaul (then it would probably work properly)
Great location a short walk from bus and train stations. Really friendly and helpful staff. A great laid back atmosphere that was always very welcoming and a great place to come back to in the evenings.
The curtains were a little thin so the room didn't quite get as dark as we'd have liked - not a big problem - we fixed by hanging some towels up.
the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff, the excellent and varied breakfast in the vine covered courtyard, the roof terrasse with a view on the castle, the very international guests.
not being able to spend an extra night in this veeery nice pension !
Great place to stay. Excellent staff, clean rooms and bathrooms. Delicious breakfast. Central location.
No soap in the washrooms.
The rooms were nice, there is an Air Conditioner in the room so slept comfortably. The breakfast was good. No selection of cheeses like usual Turkish breakfast, but still it was really good. The location is perfect. very close to the bus station and the train station. The owner explained how to get to Ephesus and all the rest of it.
The shower curtains- it was not cleaned and it was spots of something on it in the end of the curtain.
Tuncay Pension is a beautiful retreat in a lovely vine covered courtyard. It's a family run pension so warm and friendly and great breakfasts! Cuneyt, the owner is a very kind and generous man who gave me good advice and took good care of me. I felt very secure and have many fond memories of my stay. The location is optimal for transportation, downtown and historical sites. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again when in Selcuk and would recommend it to others.
Everything was a wonderful experience.
breakfast room shower booth
Tuncay Pension is located just a 5-minute walk from the pedestrian disrict and about 10 minutes from the bus station. The staff at Tuncay Pension were the highlight of our stay. All were cheerful, friendly and helpful. The owner was always eager to answer questions. Breakfast was delicious, served in a beautiful courtyard garden. Our room was small but had all of the amenities, including excellent AC, and was clean. The staff even cleaned our room on our third day there.
Like many pensions in Turkey, the water heater gets overtaxed in the morning. Evening is a better time to take a shower. Nothing else to note.
The pension was very close to everything important in the city. Just 5 minutes away are great restaurants and bars.
The position is close to the city center and the bus station, so you can go everywhere. The pension manager is very kind and has picked up us for free when we arrived late at night.
Staff are really nice Good location Breakfast is sooooooo good!
Only fan available in dorm room, no air conditioner
Staff and manager were nice and accommodating.
Rooms are too small and too sparsely furnished. No AC in the rooms. Price is just a bit above average for what is offered. It is geared more young travelers and back packers.
It's a very nice and friendly family run hotel with extremely clean rooms and fantastic breakfast. We got good advice for getting around using public transport. When we arrived we were offered some refreshments and the day we left we were even allowed to use the bathroom/shower again in the afternoon which was really so nice after a full day walking around in the sun. Definitely recommendable!
The hotel was easy to find and the proprietor, Cuneyt, was extremely helpful! The breakfast was good, the room was simple and clean. The hotel itself has a lovely courtyard. I would definitely book this space again if I return to Selcuk.
Friendly atmosphere and kind staff, very nice patio and a big terrace with castle view. Close to the city center and to the train and bus stations. Definitely recommended if you want to visit Ephesus and the surroundings, and the city center itself is lovely.
Friendly staff, excellent position, reliable wi-fi connection, clean and organized.
The breakfast was quite poor, but served in the wonderful garden.
Nothing was too much trouble at Tuncay. We were so well looked after during our short stay and would recommend them to all.
Perfect location, next to the bus terminal and old city. Very welcome and friendly owners, clean dorm room and bathroom, nice shadowed patio with small fountain, wifi works everywhere, good turkish breakfast. Highly recommended place!
Really nice atmosphere. Great location and price. Staff are wonderful human beings.
Had better breakfasts but it wasnt bad. One shower for 11 people can be an issue
Location. Near the bus stand. Good breakfast.
There is only one bathroom and a toilet for the 11 bed dormitory. The beds are on the first floor, bathroom -toilet on the ground floor.
I liked the no frills but stylish surrounds of this 'budget' pension, with friendly staff in a surprisingly pleasant, friendly town that is not itself a tourist Mecca. Easy access to Ephesus and don't miss the remains of what was once the largest church in Christendom and the Castle in Selcuk itself.
This hotel is close to Selcuk otogar, and really quiet!
