Great staff - they were extremely friendly and very helpful. We rented a car instead of doing tours with them and they were more than happy to help us with directions and other information. We went in the winter and the room was quite cold.

The location was great, it was right in town and close to both the train and bus station. The room was large and clean. The staff were extremely friendly and only to happy to help. This was a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice friendly family run hotel for a good price. The only down side was the small bathroom but thid did not affect my stay in a negative wsy at all.

Staff very friendly and helpful - they even drew us a sketch map to drive to Afrodisias and then over the mountains to Pamukkale:) Located in the centre of small town Selcuk next to Efesus. Great views of castle and town at breakfast from rooftop cafe. In Selcuk we can recommend Mehmet & Alibaba Kebab House - ca 5 min walk from ürkmez Hotel. Steep stairs and no lift - hotel suitable for active people only.

Quiet, central location with pleasant helpful staff. Great breakfast in a rooftop room with a fantastic view of the city and castle. bathroom is very very tiny and cramped - sitting on the toilet your head is actually in the sink. Shower water pressure and temperature control were very poor. Furniture was very basic

Very kind staff. In the late evening, they allowed me to use the kitchen for my personnel cooking. It takes just 4-5minutes from hotel to bus terminal or to train station or efes musium. In our room we can see the saint John's church. It islocated in central location of selcuk city.

The staff was friendly, but would term the hotel more as a backpackers hotel (little more than hostel). The toilets definitely need improvement, major facelift needed

The men that ran the hotel were so lovely and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. VERY close to the train station, and St John's Cathedral. Also very close to bus station, museum and castle (both opening soon).

The hospitality here was out of this world. When I told the hotel owner, Jimmy, that I was looking for a place to eat that had vegetarian food, he personally walked me to a nearby pizza place and helped me order something vegetarian. After having an apple tea and a chat and explaining to him how much my friend and I really wanted to go to Kusadasi, he was kind enough to give us a tour and take us to !his favorite live music venue. The hotel itself was cozy, and our room fit the bill. Highly recommend Urkmez! Felt like home away from home. Be sure to visit their new restaurant & new luxury hotel when they open next month

The hotel staff and management were so kind, helpful, and friendly. They were so eager to help and please us and really just treated us like family. There was free wifi, a great breakfast spread, and was smack in the middle of Selcuk. Very comfortable and convenient. Highly recommend!

Great location and price with fabulous staff. Breakfasts were fresh and rich at a nice terrace. Size of the bathroom could have been bigger to provide some comfort.

We stayed here while visiting the ancient ruins of Ephesus. The hotel is not 4 or 5 stars but it totally adequate and sort of charming. The staff could not have been nicer. Only drawback is that there is not elevator and our room was on 4th floor up a winding spiral staircase. But that would not stop us from staying there again. Great value and location.

Nice and friendly staff, excellent location within Selcuk with parking nearby. The rooms are ok but the whole building is rather noisy (noise from common areas / other doors / staircase, but also from the mosque outside). Nice, comfortable terrasse.

The location of the hotel was great. Rooms were simple, clean and tidy. Access to the upstairs common area was also a huge plus for getting to know other travelers and/or relaxing at the end of the day. Staff were very friendly and very willing to assist with all queries and conundrums!

The owner is very friendly, helped us with our queries about our trips and picked us for free from the bus station. The breakfast is very nice. We booked a double room with double bed, but it was actually two single beds merged together which was not as comfortable as double bed. The washing basin tube was leaking slightly but this dint bother us that much.
