The manager was extremely helpful. The hotel is in a great location, right in the center of town within easy walking distance of restaurants and two of the major archaeological sites. |

The staff were friendly and courteous. The upstairs terrace is a great spot for unwinding and socialising with other guests and staff. It has a great view of the fort on the hill. Breakfast was simple but nicely set up. The rooms and terrace are creatively decorated which adds a nice touch. |

Great, quirky hotel right in the heart of Selcuk. We stayed in a comfortable, sunny room with a nice balcony. Fun Ikea decor. Easy wallk to restaurants, bars and stores in town. Great location for a visit to Efesus. Helpful staff. If someone couldn't speak english, they'd call on their cell phone to get someone who could help you. |

Cuneyt and his relatives were great to us. They provided good information for activities. The hotel has no parking lot but there are many spots on the street in the offseason. The hotel is also 100m from the train station with a direct connection to the Izmir airport stop and this is probably a better choice during the high season. Selcuk town was much more pleasant for us than the beach resorts that we examined. |

The Urkmez is the best hotel in Turkey. The staff are friendly, honest, modest and helpful. The location in the old town of Selcuk means the hotel can be the center of walking tours that start right outside your door. And the prices are incredibly low. We really loved the place. No negatives. |

Everything was great from the moment we arrived. Jimmy (owner) was very helpful, accommodating, anything we needed was anticipated and accomplished. He spoke very good english. Breakfast was great-- the terrace makes for stunning views year round. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. On-site scooter rental available. When our train to the airport was cancelled, Jimmy went out of his way to call around to the local taxi and shuttle services to find out about the best possible price for our transportation, and ended up taking us in his own shuttle car for a very reasonable price. Everything was fantastic! The only thing I can think of is that the internet signal wasn't very strong in our room, so getting on the wifi was sometimes difficult. But it was available on the terrace, so it wasn't a big deal. |

Although relatively with old and limited facility, we were really pleased to stay at Urkmez because of great location. and the best in the world service by Jimy & Juju. Hence, I would recommend to anybody to have a taste of it. bathroom |

The staff were extremely pleasent and friendly.. They serve a pretty good breakfast, good value for money! The toilets were really small, didn't have shampoo or soap.. however this was hardly an issue |

Friendliness and attentiveness of staff. Location. This is an ideal hotel for young people traveling on a strict budget. The facility is old, spartan but very clean and I would place it slightly above a youth hostel. Its location is great and it is very close to the train station, restaurants. It is very good value for the money and great for a one night stay for those who are just staying overnight and basically require a place to sleep. |
