Villa Gokbel

Stunnig views of locations, very hospitable hosts, healthy and tasty dinners. Many thanks to Arslan and Mujela (our hosts) for excellent holidays in Villa Gokbel.

No shortcomings

We had a wonderful 2 nights at the Villa Gokbel. The location is just stunning with literally breath-taking views of the lakes below, the pine trees and mountains in front. The couple who run it are both delightful and the food is just amazing. We were in one of their budget rooms, but this was still spacious with a balcony and en-suite. The owner enthralled us with tales of when he sailed around the world! Very interesting and charming man. His wife is just lovely and creates the delicious meals. The beach is a few mins ride away and is home to the turtle hospital which is worth a visit. We just loved it there and would go again.

49 yaşındayım ve birçok otelde konakladım. ruhumun bu kadar dinlendiği bir tatil yapmamıştım. programımızda gökbel e 1 gün ayırmıştık.hata yaptığımızı otele adım attığımızda anladık.tüm tatili orada geçirmek isterdik. sahipleri harika insanlar.dolu dolu yaşamış sohbetli ilgili ve kibirsiz insanlar. otele girer girmez ilgilenip sohbet muhabbetle başlayan ,ayrılırken sarışarak vedalaştığımız dostlarımız oldular.bizde onları izmire davet ettik inşallah görüşücez. hani ölmeden önce yapılacak 100 şey listesi varya . kesin o listeye dahil edilmeli hatta en başa yazılabilir. mutlaka görülmesi gereken muhteşem bir man zara, harika insanlar,çok şık bir tesis daha ne.

Sus maravillosas vistas y la limpieza de la habitación.

Su ubicación. Necesitas coche para absolutamente todo. Está perdido en la montaña y el minibus te deja a 15 min. Andando. Si no tienes coche estás perdido. Intentamos cancelar la estancia por un problema personal y el dueño se negó. Ofrecimos varias alternativas y no aceptó ninguna. Tuvimos la sensación de que los dueños controlaban todo el tiempo. Te sientes con el compromiso de consumir en el hotel, aunque es todo carísimo. Te ofrecen cenas, pero tienes q cenar lo q preparen, no hay carta ni menú. Desayunos más que repetitivos, que para el precio del hotel ya podrían variar un poco. Yo no lo recomiendo para nada, porque me aguaron un tanto mis días allí. No queríamos estar en el hotel pero el último bus te dejaba a las 19h y al ser tan pequeño, tenías que relacionarte con personas (los dueños) que a mi, no me gustaron absolutamente nada!

prachtige ligging en zeer goede homecooking,ontbijt met verse streekprodukten. een aanrader voor decompressie, niet voor langer dan een week. onthaal is zeer vriendelijk, spreken frans en engels. patron voert je 's morgens naar Dalyan of naar Iztuzu-strand gratis, terugkeren metdolmus is zeer een voudig en niet duur. een aanrader. niet voor partykoppels.

The staff were friendly. The food was good.

The location - it was far too remote - we had to drive to everything. Some of the driving was difficult particularly at night as the roads were poor and not lit. There were no other people staying at the hotel. The room was old and uninviting. The lock did'nt work, The bathroom was grubby. The bed sheets were old. There was a worn pair of boxer shorts and an empty bottle left in our shower - bedside lamp switch was broken. No menu, and no prices. I asked for the bill but it took until the second night before I was given it - we did not know what we were being charged for lunch, drinks and water. We decided not to continue our stay as it did not feel like a holiday. The biggest let down of all was the owner Arslen who took the total charge out of our account without even asking us how we wanted to pay. We had brought cash in order to avoid bank charges - so we were landed with all the bank charges - very unprofessional.

Wir waren überwältigt von der herrlichen Lage des Hotels. Wie sagte ein englischer Mitreisender, als wir zusammen vom Pool aus über die Bucht unter uns schauten, keine anderen Häuser, die den Blick störten: "Its hardly to find a nicer place than this". Wem Abgeschiedenheit nichts ausmacht und wer nicht auf sterile Hotelatmosphäre abfährt, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Das Haus ist orginell und mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Das Wirtsehepaar ist überaus freundlich. Aslan weiß viel über seine Weltumseglung vor einigen Jahren zu erzählen. Das Essen ist köstlich. Allein schon die selbstgemachte Birnenkonfitüre beim Frühstück war ein Gedicht. Hoffentlich führt die Bewertung nicht dazu, dass wir in Zukunft Schwierigkeiten haben werden, ein Zimmer zu bekommen, weil das Hotel ständig ausgebucht ist.
