Score from 732 reviews Wonderful
The quality of the rooms, the welcoming and friendly staff, the abilty to sleep well at night, the quality of the breakfast.
The taxi fares: for an active family (hiking, biking, riding) with teenage children, we needed to get to Goreme most days. And for the fussy eaters in the family, Mustafapasa doesn't offer a lot of options - so more taxis to Urgup in the evenings. Lesson learned - hire a car next time.
Clean, Quiet, Friendly, Delicious Breakfast. Room and bathroom big and comfy. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days, everything was smooth, better than I expected. Way better than more expensive ones. I suggest everybody.
One thing, hotel locate at Mustafa Pasa, 12km away from Urgup. I don't mind to drive. But If you want to stay close to attractions, downtown and shops, you have to get car. Almost nothing on walking distance.
New facility, helpful staff, very large rooms and good breakfast. Mustafapasa is an old Greek town that is being revitalized with much building and renovation. It's nicely removed form the heavily touristy towns around Goreme, but also a bit "underconstruction." Hopefully when the construction is more complete the town won't be overrun with tourists. The hotel itself is spacious and will be even nicer next season. They are building a pool, gardens and a restaurant. The current breakfast room will be a spa area. Rooms are large and decorated with a local theme. Not top of the line design-wise, but still very close. Very quiet for sleeping!
Room was a bit cold (we were there in Sept during a cold snap) and we had to commit to an exact time for breakfast so they could "set out the fresh food on your table." Otherwise, quite good all around.
Very good and helpful staff. Rooms are well furnished. Nice homemade breakfast.
Location is a bit away from Urgup. Almost about 20 kms or so...so hotel is a bit desolate in that sense.
Cappadocia Estates is located in Mustafapasa - a place outside the usual tourist destinations of the area and is absolutely charming. The staff is superb. Kadir Geraeker was the man in charge during our stay and there was nothing that we requested that he and his colleagues did not provide. On our first night we walked down to the Greek House for dinner. Outside the restaurant was a group taking turns stirring an enormous cauldron of tomatoes and spices that bubbled over an open wood fire. They were canning the tomato harvest and Kadir assured us that we would be sampling the finished product on our breakfast table in the morning. I was told that I was witnessing an annual event that brought the community together - it was an amazing sight. And the breakfast the next day consisted of our own private table carefully set with delicious homemade jams, breads, cheeses, and fruits. A hot frittata was brought to the table and a beverage of our choice was pour by servers Although many of the staff appeared to know a little English, most did not with the exception of a few, such as Kadir who spoke excellent English. All without exception were welcoming.
The first room we stayed in was very nice but not a "cave" room. The September sun can be very hot and the room was extremely hot during the day - not a problem since we were out during the day, However there was no air conditioning in the room. Although the temperature outside was cool at night the room remained extremely and uncomfortably warm. We explained this to Kadir who immediately was able to change us to a comfortable room complete with air conditioning.
no noise at all, lovely rooms carved in the rock, close to everything without the buzz
Staff is very courteous, polite and helpful. They arranged a Jain breakfast for us without a hesitation and were ever available to help in any which way
Beautifully perched on a hill in a small community setting. It was wonderful to go back to at night after busy days sightseeing. Staff helpful and very friendly. 2 nights in a cave room and 2 in hotel room, both great.
Charming location. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood away from tourist activities. Also, Facilities are wonderful and staff could not be nicer.
I have been to Cappadocia before and I know the area a bit. It is hard to understand why more people don't stay in this wonderfully preserved little village and this great hotel. I suppose because they just don't have the chance to compare and realize the real value and quality. History and architecture is amazing. You can easily stay a week in Cappadocia Estates and savor the experience. It is much fun to walk in the village and mingle with the university students studying at the local village university!Joyful staff is top notch, very attentive and respectful.
The staff is THE BEST. They have given excellent and personalised service. It was like my HOME
Everything about it. Yunus and his team were excellent host and overall the experience in cappadocia was made magical because of their tireless attention to detail and hospitality. Highly recommend it to anyone
Staff very helpful Great rooms, inside the mountain Not far away from all places to visit in Cappadocia
Were recommended the Old Greek House restaurant which, in reality, is not so great.
Mustafapasa is a small place, but it is authentic and quiet. Cappadocia Estates Hotel is a beautiful place. The rooms are spacious and lovely.
The Wi-Fi and TV signals were not superb, but honestly, I'm not sure they would be in any town in Cappadocia.
the hotel in the caves
the hotel is in a small city and in winter season there is not a choise of restaurants
Quiet area and personalized service
We loved the peace and quiet, the room was spacious and very comfortable. This historic village is the perfect place to stay in Cappadocia unspoilt so far by tourism.
The hotel was close to perfect except for the mattress protector and duvet which were both synthetic, we were cooked between them. They need to be replaced by natural materials.
