Very good and helpful staff. Rooms are well furnished. Nice homemade breakfast.
Location is a bit away from Urgup. Almost about 20 kms or so...so hotel is a bit desolate in that sense.
Cappadocia Estates is located in Mustafapasa - a place outside the usual tourist destinations of the area and is absolutely charming. The staff is superb. Kadir Geraeker was the man in charge during our stay and there was nothing that we requested that he and his colleagues did not provide. On our first night we walked down to the Greek House for dinner. Outside the restaurant was a group taking turns stirring an enormous cauldron of tomatoes and spices that bubbled over an open wood fire. They were canning the tomato harvest and Kadir assured us that we would be sampling the finished product on our breakfast table in the morning. I was told that I was witnessing an annual event that brought the community together - it was an amazing sight. And the breakfast the next day consisted of our own private table carefully set with delicious homemade jams, breads, cheeses, and fruits. A hot frittata was brought to the table and a beverage of our choice was pour by servers Although many of the staff appeared to know a little English, most did not with the exception of a few, such as Kadir who spoke excellent English. All without exception were welcoming.
The first room we stayed in was very nice but not a "cave" room. The September sun can be very hot and the room was extremely hot during the day - not a problem since we were out during the day, However there was no air conditioning in the room. Although the temperature outside was cool at night the room remained extremely and uncomfortably warm. We explained this to Kadir who immediately was able to change us to a comfortable room complete with air conditioning.
no noise at all, lovely rooms carved in the rock, close to everything without the buzz
Staff is very courteous, polite and helpful. They arranged a Jain breakfast for us without a hesitation and were ever available to help in any which way
Beautifully perched on a hill in a small community setting. It was wonderful to go back to at night after busy days sightseeing. Staff helpful and very friendly. 2 nights in a cave room and 2 in hotel room, both great.
Charming location. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood away from tourist activities. Also, Facilities are wonderful and staff could not be nicer.
I have been to Cappadocia before and I know the area a bit. It is hard to understand why more people don't stay in this wonderfully preserved little village and this great hotel. I suppose because they just don't have the chance to compare and realize the real value and quality. History and architecture is amazing. You can easily stay a week in Cappadocia Estates and savor the experience. It is much fun to walk in the village and mingle with the university students studying at the local village university!Joyful staff is top notch, very attentive and respectful.
The staff is THE BEST. They have given excellent and personalised service. It was like my HOME
Everything about it. Yunus and his team were excellent host and overall the experience in cappadocia was made magical because of their tireless attention to detail and hospitality. Highly recommend it to anyone
Staff very helpful Great rooms, inside the mountain Not far away from all places to visit in Cappadocia
Were recommended the Old Greek House restaurant which, in reality, is not so great.
Mustafapasa is a small place, but it is authentic and quiet. Cappadocia Estates Hotel is a beautiful place. The rooms are spacious and lovely.
The Wi-Fi and TV signals were not superb, but honestly, I'm not sure they would be in any town in Cappadocia.
the hotel in the caves
the hotel is in a small city and in winter season there is not a choise of restaurants
Quiet area and personalized service
We loved the peace and quiet, the room was spacious and very comfortable. This historic village is the perfect place to stay in Cappadocia unspoilt so far by tourism.
The hotel was close to perfect except for the mattress protector and duvet which were both synthetic, we were cooked between them. They need to be replaced by natural materials.
I have spent 3 nights at this hotel with my wife and 3 young kids. Hotel staff (especially the hotel manager ) is really very friendly and supportive. They do their best for you to enjoy your time during your stay. Thanks to the hotel manager's guide and directions, we were able to visit so many nice places around Capadocia. He has provided me a map with full information which made our life so easy. Also on the second day my car went out of battery and he immediately arranged his contacts to fix my problem and in 15 minutes my car was able to move again. Rooms are very clean and all are very unique natural style. Breakfast is perfect. If they can add spa to this hotel then everything will be perfect. Myself and my wife would like to visit this hotel again in the future. And one more thing about the location : it is just 5 minutes away to Urgup and this small town is a very old Greek habitant. It has too many historical places and worth to see...
This wonderful group of three villas in the small non-touristy village of Mustafapasa is the best hotel that we stayed at in Turkey and, quite possibly, the best hotel that we have ever stayed at. The room was gorgeous, the bed was wonderful and the bathroom was a delight. We were actually surprised to see other people at breakfast because it was so quiet, we thought we had the villa to ourselves. The staff was excellent and the food at The Greek House was excellent. There was even a choice of hard and soft pillows on the bed. This is how a hotel should be run. The only thing lacking is a pool and they are building one now! If you are in the Urgup area, do yourself a favour and drive another six kilometres south to the lovely village of Mustafapasa and treat yourself to the Cappadocia Estates!
We particularly enjoyed the location. Mustafapaşa village is like a compact Cappadocia, wonderful historic mansions and other monuments, cobbled stone streets to walk around, the historic bridge, amazing valleys nobody knows about. Because there is a university in a historic caravanserai, the village has local economy from students and agriculture. It is nice to be in a place where everyone is not after your business and not trying to sell you something. Hotel manager, Mr. Yunus is super knowledgable and helpful. When resting in the garden we were ofter treated to tea and cakes. Hotel is beautiful and very well maintained.
