Nothing , one qua? How you get the 5 star ???!!!
The bed. The entrance foyer. Housekeeping and the cleanliness of our suite.
Dining room. It caters for large tours and not discerning couples. All tables were for 8 or more with no tables for couples. Also there appeared to be no Manager on duty at breakfast and there were insufficient staff on duty to clear dirty tables and prepare them again for guests. After one breakfast, we never entered the dining room again. The suite did not contain tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press iron.
The room ( cleaning less ), hotel did not worth 5 stars ( dirty), breakfast not continental breakfast ( extra payment for orange juice), wifi , not hot water, noisy We only spend 1 night instead 4 nights.
Untrained staff Washroom was not up to 5 star standards Very slow and interrupted wifi connection
the location close to the spice market and new mosque
room service meal and breakfast offering for western tastes not good
No good view
reception areas clean and comfortable, staff polite rooms clean needed to change room and this was done without any fuss and was even given an upgrade. location good for most sights easy acces to trams and boats
no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which I would have expected from a 5* hotel, rooms were dull and badly lit very traditional some suites do not have any natural light breakfast ok again not 5*
Every thing: - Location - Comfort - Cleaniness - Cost !
1- Location - Very close to Serkic and Eminuno Stations and next to Egyptian Bazaar 2- Staff 3- Hotel building 4- Breakfast
1- Room had toilet smell. I had to put coffee in room for killing smell. I asked Housekeeping and reception for doing something about the smell, they said yes but never did anything 2- Room has no view. Window looks in the hotel 3- Room Service does not clean daily but only when you place the clean my room on door knob
Not bad hotel for business visit
The location is not that bad but the view from the rooms is not good if you are looking for the posphor view
While the name of this hotel drew me in, and I expected to feel the Ottoman legacy while staying, that didn't happen. It is in a great location- steps from the Spice Bazaar with views of the Bosphorous, but my room was dark and dingy. the TV pops on when you put in the key- most unpleasant. The breakfast is sumptuous, but cappucino is $12 lira extra! Come on!
Location was close to Galata bridge and the Grand Bazaar. Staff was helpful and friendly. The massage staff in the independent health / beauty salon were very good. Breakfast included with the price was
Toilet was not mounted properly and had a broken seal and it was loose. The vanity faucet was loose; it was not mounted properly. Room was not vacuumed daily. The hotel decorator (if any) should be fired; very poor taste and quality furniture, carpets, wall coverings, pillows, duvets, etc.
Basic2 star room. In what is advertised as 5 star Shocking breakfast . I travel extensively and this would be the worst hotel I have stayed in for a long time
it is a beautiful old hotel! situated practically close to the Sirkeci tram line and train station. Cleaning staff and junior staff are wonderful and sweet. Ample breakfast buffet. Great views from hotel. Should have scored high, but because of one really stupid front desk clerk cannot do that.
Front desk clerk at check-in tried to put me in a standard room instead of the pre-ordered deluxe room (because I arrived alone, without my husband). Aggravated this by trying to claim in front of management that he had upgraded me - just made me more angry! Especially since that came on top of calling the room two days before my leaving and told me I must leave right away. Wrong room, but highly unprofessional attitude, no proper excuse. All other staff good.
Excelent location, cooperative staff& very good breakfast.
not good lighting,no cleanig paper in room& no free drinking water.
Poor airconditioning poor wifi
big rooms and near from sultan ahmet an aya sofeai.
Location in the middle of the bazar near to tram and shopping
Staffs in the breakfast are very bad
I didnt like anything.
I would say its 2 star.
Location Fast service Nice breakfast buffet Good welcoming Excellent checkout procedure and taxi calling in five minutes
Leaking water in the bathroom without fix for four days Sometomes restaurant tables are not cleaned
Breakfast Room size
The location was the main point of staying a this hotel. The staff were excellent, although communicating was done through sign language. I am stating this as a positive aspect not as a negative! Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis.
Difficult to put anything here! Oh! The pool was bloody freezing, kids hated it. However, they stated that it was a shock pool so that made sense.
restaurant terrible room smelled disgusting no views to outside, claustrophobic expensive check in took too long pool too small
Very good location, 5 minutes walk to the tram station, 2 stations and you are in Sultanahmet/Topkapi. Breakfast was good, rooms clean, staff friendly. The best part was the interior decor that really looked authentic Ottoman!
We stayed in the lobby for more than an hour to have our room ready, although it was the checkin time and the receptionist promised it will be ready sooner!
