Location Fast service Nice breakfast buffet Good welcoming Excellent checkout procedure and taxi calling in five minutes
Leaking water in the bathroom without fix for four days Sometomes restaurant tables are not cleaned
Breakfast Room size
The locations is perfect. Couldn't be better. The room was very spacious. Breakfast was fine.
It's very light in the room due to lights from the street. That made it a little bit hard to sleep well. Bring a sleeping mask!
Excellent location in a lovely hystoric building. Beautiful place. Nicely refurbished bathroom, but it is not sufficient for a five star experience...
Booked a family room with a view, and received one without any view. Staff was unwilling and/or unable to handle the issue. At least this was my feeling... In addition room was really poor - dirty wall cover and dirty carpet. I am sorry, because it could be a nice hotel, but currently it is far away from a 5 star experience...
Staff at the reception was execelent. Great location.
The staff at the restaurant was very poor, totally unprofessional. The tables was never clean, they never cared about the customers.
Great location, in the heart of Istanbul.
We were a family and we took three rooms, and here are our notes on the hotel: -Very Small rooms like prison with no windows on the outside. -Very bad smell in one of the rooms we asked the reception but they were not cooperative at all. -Air conditioner was not working in two of the rooms and we called them but they had to take so much time to fix it. -
its location near the spice bazar and grand bazar
some rooms are smelling sewage smell the breakfast menue is bit limited and also the orange juice is not free as one cup is 8 turkish lira( expensive)
Location is good the only thing iliked there
Staff specially reception and restaurant were not friendly and uncoprative ,hotel price was more than it desirved
I like location and price
The waiter in breakfast was dirty because she did not change knifes after remove them from dirty towel
This beautifully restored hotel is a gem right in the centre of all the sights! The tram stop is within meters which is very easy to take all over the city. The staff were always very polite and helpful. Istanbul is not a cheap place to stay and this place was only 40% more then a very budget place we stayed in previously and it is very luxurious. The breakfast is fantastic and includes all the Turkish favorites (many types of bread, cheeses, olives, jam and hot food) There is a turkish bath, swimming pool inhouse that guests may use. If you are considering this hotel you won't be disappointed especially if you consider the preservation of beautiful heritage buildings valuable. We were astonished to read the "bad" reviews for this place as honestly they all just come across as wingers as we couldn't find anything worth complaining about.
Internet logs out intermittently
-nice lobby. -very good location."every thing near by you!"
-Breackfast was not good as five stars hotel. -The swimming pool were cold and not that comfort. - The lady on the reception were not clear about the rooms. "In the first she gave us room in the 1st floor and I asked her for other room in 2nd or 3rd floor and she said there is single room availbe, then when we left to our room in the 1st floor we found that the door was not working then i spoke with hotel superviser and she gave us two room in the 2nd floor which were no room availbe 10 min ago!!!!!!!
- room was dark - I had to long in again and again to the internet after a short inactivity.. - bar looked like in the 70's - room furniture looked used
the location, facilities and staff
many rooms don't have fresh air
1. The country (we love Turkey) 2. Some of staff was very kind (i.e. the lady on the "guests relation desk" and one of few receptionists) 3. The hotel building was carefully renovated, a lot of details express the charming style and expensive investment.
1. Taxi arrangement: we asked for a taxi-cab trough the reception for driving to the Ataturk airport. When we entered in the car, the taximeter was already turned on and showing the amount of over 5 TL. At the airport, the driver requested 50 TL for the drive, even the taximeters showed 46 TL. (Before departure, the taxi driver gave some money to the hotel's boy, who helped us to put the luggage in the trunk. I guess they have some personal agreement). From our experience a year and two years ago the price for such taxi drive was about 30-35 TL. We didn't complain the price to the driver (there is no question about 10-20 TL), but we expected to be supported (and protected) from hotel's staff. 2. The breakfast (in "sehur" time) could be a bit richer. 3. The room smelled of some chemicals.
