Location Staff is cooperative
They did not give us room of our choice inspite of that it was vacant. Furniture is old They did not clean wash rooms daily
The staff was very helpful and the room was very nice. The breakfast was delicious.
5-star location, 2 minutes walk from Blue Mosque. Very helpful staff.
All the best
that house was very clean and host was very kind and friendly If I go Istanbul again, I will stay there again!!!!
Very well located hostel. The guys that work there are really polite and always wanting to help.
Breakfast space is not too big, so be aware of "pick hours".
I can just say stay here
Nothing to fix
I liked that this hostel is so close to Sultanahmet area but in a very quiet street. Good and enough breakfast. Nice staff and some nice roommate.
The room is in the basement so there was no windows and a little bit small room for 6 beds. Wifi was slow sometimes.
I stayed in Yakamoz for the first time in June 2013 for an entire week and since then I have kept coming back to it every time I'm in Istambul. The place is incredible value for money and location couldn't be better - right around the corner from the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Breakfast offers several options (though coffee could certainly be better - but for the price you couldn't ask for more). There is also a roof-top restaurant right across the street with great and cheap options (and you get a discount if you are staying at Yakamoz). The staff, Sercan and Mustafa, are very helpful and friendly. If at all possible, try to stay in one of the rooms with a sea view - the sights and the fresh sea air will totally make it up for the additional cost.
The dorms downstairs might feel a bit crowded - if there is two or three of you traveling together - the cost of you three plus a few extra dollars will afford you a double or triple room, which are way more comfortable.
Family run, Fantastic location, minutes from Blue Mosque, Ayasofya and Topkapi Palace. Lovely sea facing room, exactly like the pic on booking.com. Very helpful and warm staff, particularly Mustafa who had great tips on where to eat and best places to visit. He graciously helped us with our bags up two floors. He allows access to his kitchen if one wishes to cook/heat up food or make tea/coffee. Great value for money, will surely recommend this place
Breakfast was poor- just coffee /tea /bread /jam. It's a walk up, either 2 or 3 storeys, so anyone with leg problems should be aware of this. Withstanding these minor issues, it's a great place to stay and we would surely go back. Highly recommended.
Great location. Very helpful staff.
Best location between Ste-Sophie et Blue Mosq. The view of my room Very clean and quiet Excellent breakfast Excellent service I'll come back !!!!!
Very nice personnel, good breakfast, very close to main attractions. Good value for price.
The room was not cleaned every day.
Location is perfect, close to everywhere and bed is clean :))
Staff's attitude were just fine, long hair one is better and more friendly. And the oldest one (might be owner) cannot stop switch off the light in public area while we are using it!
a little dirty and wet..
In the old section of the city, just blocks away from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Good view of sea if requested. Shuttle service to both Istanbul airports.
Very hard to reach, istanbul by car big disapointment
kind staff location. only one minute to Sultan Ahmeyt and Ayasofia and less than 5 minutes to Topkapi Breakfast was also good
I was in a dormitory room and the hotel did not provide slippers for going to toilet and shower. after I insisted I could finally borrow the receptionist slippers :) I didnt like the place of shared bathroom since we had to pass the reception each time
Location is very good. Blue Mosque is just nearby. You can book a seat for shuttle bus to airport and the bus will pick you up at the guesthouse.
Hospitality of the staffs
Bathroom, closet are not clean Noisy room I booked for dormitory room for 6 females, but then they give me a bed in a room for 10 females! It was so noisy, poor quality of sleep. It is good value for money, and better for staying in short period.
I Like The Idea to go there and know many People from Many other Countries. It Was very good Experience for very Good Guest House.
First, Location Should be Clearly by Attached MAP showing Directions with arrows. Do not Ride Taxi because their opening way is only through Sea Road which takes 35 Minutes from Front of Blue Mosque till Guest House, While Waking 4 Minutes only. A/C Location should be revised, but for ventilation Problem Already Solved. Should Have Clear Policy for respecting others Sleep Time.
He gave us a nice room with a window view of the Bosphorus- Sheets were white and seemed clean. For young people this no frill guest house may just work out. It was on the second floor so u have be in shape to climb up and down. A good value right next to the four seasons :)
Excellent location for the Sultanamet area. Bed really comfortable. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Great little backpackers hostel!
Minor criticism, the included breakfast was pretty basic.
Location is excellent and staff extremely friendly. We had the room with a beautiful view to the sea.
The room was dirty, with layers of dust and the floor had not seen water and soap in weeks. Room was not cleaned and tidied daily, the balcony was crammed with useless pots of dead weeds and the extra bed looked filthy. All in all, good service is more than proximity to hagia sofia and kindness of a few staff, especially when price goes above 80eur a night.
