When we were there, we had the impression that, even though the staff were extremely friendly and willing to help, they did not really know what they were doing and they were not prepared for the most basic of requests. E.g. there is a nice bar and cocktails are on the menue, when we asked if we could order some, we were met with blank faces and then somebody was fetched to do them and he said, I am the person who makes the cocktails, but you won't like them, there were peole here yesterday and they said they were awful. So he did not make us any.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms and communal facilities have been designed with so much care and taste. The staff were not really prepared for anything but they fulfilled almost any request. We were even offered to have dinner privately in the wine cellar, brilliant. And the food was exceptional, especially the meat.
