It was near the airport and the beach was interesting after seeing downtown Istanbul Loud people disrupted our sleep beginning at 10pm, en again at 3am and 4am. We asked for a wake up call and it never came. The man n duty was belligerent when we pointed out that the wake up had been requested but didn't arrive. It is billed as an airport hotel but they laughed at us when we asked if there would be coffee at 6am when we had to leave to catch our plane. There was construction on the terrace and we were scolded for stepping on an area of wet cement which was not marked to avoid. The bathroom was so small you could not dry off in e space after taking a shower.

Culture mixed with traditional touches. History and interesting things on display and it was not a faceless corporate box. Nice people who make the personal effort. I have tried to find the right word and homely is a good one. Close to magnificent fish restaurants and pleasant evening walks along the quay side. Some finishing touches needed here and there to the modifications/modernisation but I have seen worse in so called luxury chains.

Location near the airport was great and this is a very good alternative to the usual airport hotel sameness. This is an old somewhat funky hotel that was fun to stay in. The owner is a nice guy, somewhat of a character.

Good location The "Garden Room" was dreadful. The room was cold, damp and mouldy. Water dripped from the ceiling on to the bed dampening the mattress and bedding. Mould was visible on the ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom. The heater didn't work. Rather than staying in this cold dank cell we left and spent the night at the airport.

Yeshilköy is a seeside holiday residence area. The hotel, an ancient house with many antiques, is 3mn walking from a day&night animated & typical center, and from the beach with a nice little port. Five minutes by taxi from airport. Free wifi. A bit far from city center (1/2hour driving); if you can´t afford a taxi you need to walk ten minutes to Hava Müzesi bus station and take en1 express bus to Eminönü.

Close to the airport, Yeşilköy train station and the Yeşilköy beach area. If you don't have to spend a day without going to Istanbul downtown, it's the perfect base -- you can go running and family-friendly walking in the beach, with cafe and restaurants. Next to the Yeşilköy train station there is a large aircraft museum, which is worth visiting. Rooms are pretty much not sound-proof.

I liked the location by the water and neighborhood. I did not feel welcomed properly, as we were not offered tea upon arrival,or shown around the hotel. When we asked for a dinner recommendation, he was very curt and had no maps or menus or helpful comments. This was a quick overnight stay and we were hoping not to have to research on our own, as we had already stayed in old town of istanbul prior to traveling within the country. Disappointing experience.

We were looking for a hotel close to Istanbul airport but also with walking access to restaurants and shopping. This hotel offers both. The hotel has charm and is fun. The staff is friendly and helpful. English spoken here. Difficult for taxi to find. Be sure to have good written instructions with you. They are supplied by hotel. There is no elevator but the staff carried our heavy bags to room.

The staff were extremely helpful when I lost my luggage and stored my luggage for me when the airline delivered it there after I had already departed. The exterior of the hotel was a bit crumbling/off putting with cement stairs and a neon light, but it is pleasant inside.

The hotel is situated a few kilometres away from Atatürk Airport (IST) and a taxi costs 7 Euros. Written information for taxi drivers is provided in English and Turkish after booking. Friendly and helpfull staff, WiFi, good space in the rooms, some with sea view, heating, quiet durings nights, a fair bath room. Sufficient breakfast with coffee, bread, marmelades, vegetables, and a fried egg. A local railway station is situated 10 minutes away by foot and with frequent connections to city centre (replaced by busses until summer 2013). A good dining option, just outsite the railway station, is restaurant "Istayon" (4-course dinner for 2 incl. wine, raki and coffee 70 Euros). Another good, but expensive fish restaurant, is situated10 minutes away by foot (Yuksel Balik). The hotel is old and worn. For a single and calm night it is OK. We missed glasses for water, but presumeably they will be delivered by request.

Owner involved, plans for improvement willingness to listen suggestions. Food drinks and services of surrounding shops are much more expensive Than what you expect. A single kebab delivered will cost you 10 us$. Diner in a local restaurant below average, will cost you more than us$ $ 65 per person.

Those 2 men who spoke english were very helpfull. Breakfast was bad and absolutely not worth of money. Room was dark and there was strong odor of mould. Ceiling was leaking a little bit, thought it did not bother us. Toilet seats cover was loose and hard to sit. Sounds from the corridor and other rooms came straight in. We took this hotel because it was 4 star and we wanted to spend rest of our holiday in better hotel. Hotel is maybe worth of 2 stars, just maybe. No minibar or water boiler in a room.

I could have stayed in the TAV airport hotel (5star and more accessible in terms of the airport)for less than I paid for the Yesilkoy, which is no more than a1star hotel. Very disappointed.
